Think you mean "outlaw". Cowboy referred to the men/boys "cattle drivers" who moved large herds of cattle north and south. In which this guy also took part, but became famous for the outlaw side of things.
Lots of outlaws were born from being cowboy's and of how corrupt the cattle markets in the west were at the time. Many family owned and not all got along with each other or played by the same rules.

Enjoyed this, in spite of some unrelated photos shown at times that might mislead those not familiar with Hardin's life. Additionally, no credible source states Hardin won the bout with big black Mage. In fact, Hardin's loss supposedly was Hardin's motive for accosting and apparently killing Mage later. Some very interesting illustrations, in spite of the timing, do enhance this production. Hardin was a braggart and his autobiography is not reliable as to all his claims. "John Doe" .......a real guy? C'mon.........stripped lawmen naked? Naw...............Why show a photo of the Johnson County, Wyoming Invaders" Poor narrator, bless his heart, obviously not familiar with the subject nor proper pronunciation, the ghost town of Albuquerque, Texas is pronounced same as the New Mexico town, Hardin's autobiography printed in 1896 in Seguin (not by J. Marvin Hunter), etc. Armstrong did NOT kill two of Hardin's friends during the Florida capture, etc. However, all in all, we still owe credit to the makers of this video, it does educate and keeps Old West history alive, and I thank them for that.

A sociopathic killer with psychotic ideation. Who, grounded in reason, with involvement in actual who, what, when, where, and how, is ever involved in this number of violent, life-destroying behavior? A dangerous, angry, and frightened child, arrested in his emotional development, a manipulator of people and facts wrapped in the skin of a grown human. Interesting.

WRONG!!! Her last name was Wesley, out of Missouri. You are distorting actual facts on file with the U.S.Marshalls office. John Sr and Jr are both fast. Unless John cares to prove himself as the fastest. (A title he has has never held). (The kid is still around. Still good with a gun. Just as good with his fist). Jr., is not a concern as far as I, am aware. Could be wrong about him. Like dad, both are stars. Protected by Hollywood. Just like Jack the ripper, Hannibal Lecter, Jesse and Frank James, Cole and Bob Younger, Brigham Young. Along with all such people like them. The NFL protects Young. But hey, you're a devoted fan. Out to protect trash. The kid makes his own light. Does enjoy the company of other fighters of caliber. Still fights when the need arises. May Lord God Bless and keep the kid on the side of right. We'll need him soon. Along with his alter ego too. Amen.

Your family? Then yes I understand your position if, you're actual family. I also understand the cover up. I also understand your misrepresentation of John. I also know the U.S. Marshall who help John escape custody as he was transpoted to Alcatraz. Escaped 50 miles from Denver. Went to Devils Thumb, CO. Where he was treated like royalty. The on to Hole In The Wall, Co., Ward, Co. Where he and the Marshall both signed Hollywood contracts there in the General Store. Directly in front of the Hotel California in the year 1959. Next you'll deny that too. Telling me how he was killed, etc. If your a relative. Then please tell John what I have written. John, will know who I am. Count on it. That Marshall played Chester on Gunsmoke later McCloud. He and his son both played Maverick. Amen.

The Clint Eastwood movie 'The Unforgiven' possibly gives the truest depiction of gunfighters and gunfighter culture in the Wild West.
Many of the names that have we know today, having been passed on though the pages of history were most likely sociopaths or psychopaths......few, if any gunfighters were hero's like the Alan Ladd movie character 'Shane'.... many were con men, gamblers, alcoholics and some were outrageous self promoters.
I think life would be edgy being around these types of guys and the longer you were in their company the higher the likelihood that you could end up being the next notch on their gun belt.
