Christian, after you recovered from you stroke, you look exactly as before the stroke: the movements, the language, the expressions. Unbelievable! A miracle!

I witnessed my 75 year old father having a stroke this February, he is recovering as I watch this video. But I lost my uncle last year to a hemmorraghic brain stem stroke. To everyone that is recovering from stroke, I want you all to stay strong and be on the road to recovery fast just as Christian did. God bless you!!

Amazing story, my dad never recovered from his stroke. It's the biggest fear I have in life, more than cancer or heart-attack. I think stroke is one of those things that debilitates you more than anything else.

the way he says the word 'run' at 2:43... such a rare feeling, reflecting on a hopeless situation that somehow worked out, nothing like it.

Very encouraging testimony. I suffered a brain stem hemorrhagic stroke a few weeks ago. My stroke was not as bad as yours , but I am now in recovery. I am thankful to God that it was found early. To anybody out there who survived a stroke and is in recovery, stay strong! If Christian made it, so can we.

She can communicate perfectly has gained movement on the right side of her body and some movement on the left side of her body she is now able to walk with a quad cane and one person assist. She is learning to walk again. Thank you for asking it’s been over a year.

    Amazing story!
My brother n law had a stem steoke. He was vented for over 100 days. Doctors gave us no hope. They said if he survived. He would be on a vent with no quality of life. After 180 days in the hospital. He is not in a nursing home. With no insurance in Alabama they sent him to a nursing home at 54 years old.
Now over 200 days in bed no therapy. Only what we do with him. Its a slow process. But everyday he get a little better. He talks. He can move all parts of his body. His arm strength is build and his hand mobility. As soon as we get him to use and more strength in arms. We will bring him home. He still has osme confusion. That is getting better.
It so sad that without money or insurance. He cant get the intensive physical therapy he needs.

I’m nearly completely paralyzed on left side and have just began rehab. I can’t believe that I’m still here but oh sooo thankful! This story fills me with tremendous hope and inspiration! What a sweet handsome young man. I'm so glad you are OK. I had a mini stroke 3 years ago and lost my memory for 1 day. My sons took me to the emergency room. It was a very scary time. They did a cat scan and sent me home with no follow up or anything. I've heard once u have one you can have another.

How was he able to get such excellent care and help? This happened to my fiance and he was immediately written off as lost cause by all medical professionals in Northwest Indiana even after he made such amazing progress working with family & friends that he was learning to write again and building his swallow stronger so that he passed a swallow test for soft pureed diet and is almost speaking words outloud even with a trach but he was denied all therapy and denied starting a pureed diet. How can a patient be approved by a hospital recognized progress but then denied by the nursing home staff? What kind of insurance is sufficient to be given a chance to even attempt recovery? How can we get him the help he so desperately needs & wants but keeps being denied?

So amazing Christian (my first son's name). I have suffered 2 brain stem strokes in the last 11 months. I am so happy that you had family there to support you. I did too. Not many friends, but my family were always there. I am on two antidepressants and still cry pretty easily, I hope it goes away soon. I was finally able to walk w/o a walker or cane after a few months. God is good. I hope you continue to improve. The depression seems to be my hardest battle now. I won't give up though!🙂 Thank you for sharing!!

His eyes move (that's how we communicate) he can even turn and move his head as well, he can even move his feet and legs on his own too. I'm just praying that with therapy soon, he'll be able to do much more

Typically patients are fully aware since cerebral hemispheres are intact. Surviving is rare...only 10-20% survive, and only a percentage of them ever regain motor function. Follow the advice of your neurosurgeons and neurologists, they know best
