It is amazing how much has been added to the game because there is a lot of improvements and new things. They have redone the painting designs, added a extra type of painting, added 2 new portraits, a new gallery, achievements , 2 player,more options to play and a better hidden mansion (if you are in America). This is a great remake

@@miserablepileofsecrets same. Only problem for me is the c stick but that always can be fixed by an emulator on a new verison of a 3ds or on a pc with a controller
I do not have the C-Stick. I use the D-Pad. But it is true, with a remote on emulator, it can be fixed.
I like how the quality of the paintings increase as the rank gets higher
Love what they did with them, in the original some Gold frames looked awful as heck or not as good as even some hecking Bronze ones because of that obsession of using basic photoshop filters to stylize them
Gotta be honest, I kindof miss the angel statues from the original gallery.
The original gallery was a lot creepier and moody and less like a visual representation of a menu and I don't care much for the changes in general other than the bronze paintings being sketches but I can see why they made the changes they did.
@@xXEPIKgamerXx I like the creepy aspect of the original, but I prefer the 3ds version because it's easier to see all the paintings, the ability to refight ghosts, plus the extra paintings.

Somehow this makes me think how Nintendo has not yet implemented a similar achievement to Sony and Microsoft. PlayStations Trophies are the achievement on the PlayStation, and Microsoft Achievements are the achievements on the Xbox.
AlphaApple Nintendo. does. not. need. achievements. They can live without them, they are pretty unimportant,
Yes we don't need them but it would be nice for some, though I never look at my steam ones.
While I agree we don't need achievements for every nintendo game, these achievements give much more replayability to Luigi's Mansion.
AlphaApple I want Nintendo to add achievements to their systems or at least more games since achievements can help add more replay value and give you something to work towards when you feel you've done everything.

@@lbfrank5204 yeah, I noticed some of the names were changed as well... For example, Van Gore used to be the Starving Artist, but now he's the Unpaid Artist, I think.
currently I'm stuck on the final bowser fight in the hidden mansion then again I tried once and just gave up because it seemed really hard but I can barely get a platinum on anybody and you have all of them, props to you!
Ravioli Clarkson I gave up halfway through the hidden mansion.
Wow, it looks so satisfying to have all the platinum portraits and all the achievements. I wish I had the time to do ALL of that. *sigh*
They made the bronze photos much more depressing than the previous game.
I like the change because the older portraits were too similar to one another
So...
- Bronze: a pencil gravure, in an almost sad pose
- Silver: a simple portrait, maybe a watercolor painting
- Gold: a portrait with a good pose and background
- Platinum: a stylized portrait with an attack/special pose and bright background

@@cordovaman335 , for me, the best of the Portrait Ghosts would be the Clockwork Soldiers, and the worst would have to be Sir Weston because of the icy surface and the icicle trap making it almost impossible to get a gold frame on him, or in this case, platinum.

you have to spread water or fire on them. For the book, I know there's few of them where the Dad is located, reading his book, and where the Grandma is located

Say I got a question, does anybody know how to clear the normal mansion mode or the hidden mansion mode in three hours or less earning you the speed runner achievement? Because this doesn’t make any sense to me at all, I got all the jewels and stuff in the normal mansion on my first play through but it still didn’t complete the speed runner challenge. Please help me.
you gotta be quick. i can beat the game in less than 1h 15m. Remember the boss patterns, drive portrait ghosts to corners of rooms so it's easier to suck, ignore optional portrait ghosts and optional rooms. only catch 40 boos (boolosus is 15, aim for the lower health boos in the early floors

How do you actually catch a spark? I've vacuumed them up and taken damage for it but it still hasn't counted.

Use the fire element
Try the water element.
It only counts if you use fire to make them explode. It got me too, getting a Spark was the last thing I did.
Both water and fire work.
Im so glad they made this to the 3ds and not the switch because im tired of kids thinking that dark moon is the original..I wish they kept the USA version as Luigi's Manison 2.

Im currently working on finishing the game at 100%, but just to be sure, how many times will I have to finish the game to achieve everything? It looks impossible to get everything at Hard and Master by finishing the Mansion and Hidden Mansion just once
You'll need to play at least 9 times. Unlike the OG, this game tracks the different ranks you get, so no matter how many achievements you can rack up in a run, you'll still need to get all the ranks as you hunt the achievements down.

Cuz i wanna get all the mansion ranks but only got rank A cuz i only played once so far, and didnt start hidden mansion yet. How do i get all the other ranks i need (all but A) now?
And some achievements obviously need more than the 1 regular and hidden mansion files. How do u delete the file but still save all ur gallery progress, so its still there on the new file? And is that the only way to 100% complete this game, and the only way to get certain achievements and all mansion ranks, is to delete ur file a bunch of times?! :0

If you start over without deleting the entire file, the progress in the lab IS kept normally.

How do you suck up the sparks to add them to the portrait. That’s the only thing I’m missing. Also how tf do you get 500,000,000? All are in the study in the first area where the portrait ghost nelville is, except one book is in the portrait ghost nana's room, i think thats the 2nd area. Might have been 3rd tho. Idr.

I've had the same problem, but in my game there just was a translation mistake which kept me from getting this achievement. You just have to play through normal mansion without the health dropping to 80 HP.
Hidden Mansion sounds a bit harder. Can anyone give me advice?
Die ist TOTAL härter weil es gibt weniger Herzen,❤ die Gemälde Geister haben viel mehr Leben, und bei König Buu Huu hat er 750 Leben. Also echt übertrieben!
Save before every Portrait Ghost and most rooms, that way you can consistently retry them to go for Platinum Frames, look up guides for the Speedy Spirits’ locations since they are different as well as Mario’s Items, and whenever you need to heal, exit the mansion from the front door and go back to the lab

How can you spoil someone a game without plot twists?
I wish Nintendo would just implement their own achievement system for all their games. That way all games would have unified achievements, and the achievements would actually mean something.

For non-boss portrait ghosts: suck up 145 out of 150 hp in one go(only possible in the Hidden Mansion)
For Boss Portrait Ghosts: Defeat the Boss while having at least 95 HP or more(only possible in the Hidden Mansion)

@@TheNidoo Man darf nicht unter 81 Leben geraten, sonst bekommt man das Achievement nicht. (Die deutsche Übersetzung ist fehlerhaft. Dort müsste eigentlich stehen, dass man die Villa durchspielen muss, ohne 80 oder weniger Leben zu verlieren.)
