Prices are as follows: $15 per single "drop in" class I also have passes for a pack of 10 classes at $13.50 per class and a pack of 20 classes for $12 per class. Private lessons are $100 an hour.
I looked at your schedule and I can’t see how often you offer the beginner class. I see two for July but they have different openings available so I’m guessing they are two different groups? I’m looking for a class, minimum twice a week for someone who has never danced ballet before.
I would love an "absolute beginner" class/ballet 101. There is no adult ballet in my area, let alone now, and it is something that I would really like to do.
I’d love to throw in my vote for a Ballet 101/Absolute Beginner class. It’s so difficult to find 101 classes for adults anywhere, be it in-person or online.
I'm so excited! I used to take your Powhow classes and loved them! I don't dance professionally and I'm past the point of that ever being an option, but I still always want to grow as a dancer and I remember feeling like a CELEBRITY when you told me I did something well
Oh yay! I'm excited! I've unfortunately had to quit ballet 2 years ago, but with the quarantine I've been able to get back into ballet by using your barre classes! I doubt I can afford these classes, especially as I'm not currently training, but I just want to say thank you for everything you've done. I really missed ballet, and you've helped me be able to get back to dance. So thank you.
This is so exciting! I am definitely joining them ( hope timetables are ok for me, UK based!) and the private ones I a keen to book them as well soon. Thanks so much! 😍😍😍😍😍
Ahh! This is so exciting. I would suggest maybe one evening time slot for a group class for those who work and can't do a morning class. Mostly thinking of adults in pacific time zones who work. Also, would you prefer us to set up our devices so you can see us from the front or from the side?
Kathryn, if we are just starting back after a 35 year break (yes, I know) is it possible to participate if we aren't ready to be "seen" quite yet? Things are slowly coming back but I'm nervous about it.
This is great, unfortunately I won’t be able to do it, but it’s awesome that you are finding another way to support yourself and help those without classes ❤️
Thanks Katie! I would love to take your classes but the time slot of the classes that I can take is not feasible for me. Will you consider to put the same class in different time slots so that we (from many parts of the world) can take it as well? Love you
Super. Good point about the time zone! Will definitely look into the platform. On another topic: could you do a video on mental health, chronic illness and ballet training? Have been so frustrated lately with training being interrupted so frequently by poor health (digestive illness), am no longer in the professional dance world because of it, but still finding it difficult to keep training for fun and stay motivated despite varying symptoms that come and go. People say 'just do what you can' but in sports/ballet, it can be demoralizing to do well one day eg. work on lifting in the pirouettes, and the next not even manage to stand straight because of a flare the previous night. I will take it easy, try not to fight symptoms, but it is very frustrating. I'm sure everyone has ups and downs, but with your own helath problems I would love your take on staying motivated when the body/mind won't let us. Blessings to all x
Hi Katie, these look fun! Can you add a beginner-beginner class? I love ballet but I only learned a little (I took a really fun college class). It’s beautiful and great exercise! I’d like to learn more! Just found your you tube ones!
I would love to work on my technique so I´m incredibly excited to take your classes !!!!!!!! Can´t wait !!! check out the schedules to see what works for me too !!!!! this is so exciting !!!❤️
That is so cool, I don't know if I can sign up, because I'm in Europe and I haven't checked what MDT is in GMT+2, but yes, I really hope that I can sign up!
I just discovered your channel, it so good. I'd like to join but I am confused with how much is the difference between the hour there and in Spain? Also which class is best to start?
Hi Katie! Multiple questions... 1. How “beginner” is a beginner class? What I really need is a private lesson but unfortunately I’m to broke haha. 2. How long will you be doing this for? Maybe I could save up and get the private lesson I need? 3. I’m only 13 so is there an age limit on your classes?
1. The Beginner will be like my beginner barre and center on here. I'm going to err on the side of easier. But it won't be for those who have never had ballet. If I did that, I would add a class that would be "Ballet 101" or something. 2. As of now, I will be doing this for awhile! At least for the next few months! 3. No age limit! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Can you set a slot for adults beginner that work on the Pacific Coast? I would love to take your classes. There are not a lot of ballet beginners for adults.
I had been doing ballet for 6 years when I was 12 I earned my first pair of point shoes, but I gave up right after. Now I'm 16 and I regret so much quitting, I completely feel in love with ballet again and I am using quarentine to get back my wasted time. I think it would be really hard, but not impossible, because when I did ballet classes I only had 1 hour class per week and didn't did shit during the other days, I just thought that 1h would be enough to be a professional and then I got depressed because I wasn't evolving and stopped. Any advice? I need all the help in the world
Also, maybe a tip/question for the zoom classes, sometimes when we are having class people are "kicked out" and couldn't enter again for some reason. Could be their internet connection or something 😅. What will happen if they get half a class?
@@kathryn_morgan just letting you know in advance 😅. Happened to us a couple of times, I can imagine it being annoying stopping in the middle of class 😇
Wow! Your privates fill up quickly. Is pointe a prerequisite for the intermediate/advanced class? I'm a late starter so my classes are sort of all over the place in terms of level and I'm not yet on pointe, but I think I would gain a lot from your class. Or should I just do the beginner/intermediate one?
Kathryn, could my 12-year-old daughter do the beginner/intermediate ballet class? Also would it be okay to do a private? Just wondering because of her age. She has been doing ballet for almost 5 years now.
This is such a great idea :-). I am a complete beginner and would love to come to your beginners classes, but I am in New Zealand and the 10am MST classes are at 4am NZT! Would you consider running another session later on in the day for the beginners classes? All the best :-)
Question: can two people attend from one pass (aka zoom link) ? For example, me and my boyfriend both dance and we have been doing your classes here on youtube, but we would literally be in the same room doing it at the same time. Should we buy two passes or one? Hopefully that makes sense.
I created an account but I am a bit confused with the time zones.. Are you on daylight saving time or not? Also, I attend intermediate classes but I think I will sign up for beginners intermediate as I am not sure I would be able to keep the rhythm...
I have different passes available. Drop in single classes are $15. Multiple classes while "look" more expensive end up being cheaper per class the more you take.
Hi Katie, i would love to have a provate lesson with you but i'mworried if you'll also work with people like me, who wont ever be a professional and never had that great training ... im afraid of beeing not good enough

Kathryn Morgan those are very reasonable costs! I’ll have to see what I can do.
I love your work ethic. You never rest on the laurels...
