Depends actually, but I know this feeling. Anime is still stop-motion so the frames feel more framed if you will. Its easier to hit music beats that way in my opinion. Meanwhile music videos are made solely with the video cameras. So the flow between frames is natural. But as history has shown us, naturalism isn't what humans seek out to.
