The new chapters are another timeline where Houraji is the center instead of Kiana. If you're talking about the DLC chapters where you play as Houraji, that's technically not counted as cannon I believe and more of an "if" story of what happens if there were survivors and Houraji managed to cross over to meet them.

Also, doesn't Houraji turn into the Apocalypse god in the reborn story line which isn't shown at the start of the DLC when the survivors say that God Kiana was the cause of the destruction. I wish that at some point in HI3 at least one of the characters have an epiphany about them going through the same thing over and over and over again, but their consciousness are transferred different dimensions.
Honestly even though in this ending everyone dies and people hate it it sets up the power of the final herrscher. I think they tried to show God Kiana's true power here because they want to set something up in the main game. If God Kiana were to lose the whole Final Herrscher thing would be just a pushover with no meaning. It may be a bad ending but i like MiHoYo's approach

according to the dlc 6.2, after stage 20, god kiana got control by honkai and destory humanity over and over until there no human left. However, after she back to herself, honkai wanted to punish her, let her remember all the humannity she destory and all the people she kill. Kiana cannot hold this much of saddness and wanted to dead, but honkai wasn't allow, so there no one in the world that can kill her (include herself). When she realized that, she used good memories with mei and her friends to paralyze herself from the fact and real world until honkai also disappear from the world, she finally free....

Well its a very confusing story really first you need to know the background story of the characters before you can understand the main story. Because it really isn't Kiana that's evil but rather the Sirin that's inside her that's "evil". That being said though, I really wouldn't call Sirin evil either... I mean she was taken from her mom (Cocolia), used as a test subject for fairly inhumane human experimentation (as if normal human experimentation wasn't inhumane enough) to try and create valkaries and then killed by Cecilia after she turned into a lawman. Her life's was pretty shitty to say the least so wanting to destroy the world is actually kinda understandable in her position.

well it is less than a timeline but pretty much reboots at this point. there are many changed in HI that won't make sense in GGZ's story.

according to the dlc 6.2, after stage 20, god kiana got control by honkai and destory humanity over and over until there no human left. However, after she back to herself, honkai wanted to punish her, let her remember all the humannity she destory and all the people she kill. Kiana cannot hold this much of saddness and wanted to dead, but honkai wasn't allow, so there no one in the world that can kill her (include herself). When she realized that, she used good memories with mei and her friends to paralyze herself from the fact and real world until honkai also disappear from the world, she finally free....
Ah, such a nostalgia from this scene. GGz is just an amazing game, loved all those years I played it ❤️

I just came from watching chapter 9 Act 3 on Honkai Impact 3 and the music from this video played on that stage and I feel the worst is going to happen to all the girls :'( . We already lost Fu Hua I don't want to see all the girls die again like in GGZ
Since A Post Honkai Odyssey exists, I think things will be fine. That basically confirmed that the girls will defeat Honkai

I discoverd mihoyo with genshin and i love it so i play at honkai since february and when i discoverd they make an other game before honkai i wanna see but it was close so i watch a let's play but i m so sad to was too young when this game was relesead ( i was only 7 years old and the game is never go at france ) but this game is incredible just thanks mihoyo for your games they change my life genshin, tears of themis, honkai impact and ggz even if i don't play are incredible game i can't wait for honkai star rail and i hope the futur are shinig for you

Well its a very confusing story really first you need to know the background story of the characters before you can understand the main story.
Not only that seems like the other game has some sort of connection as in HI3 Fu Hua said to Kiana you won't change the world this time according to your thoughts" in chapter 7/8 if i remember when she captured kiana.

Btw mostly talking about HI3 in this case i dropped GGZ long time ago but it should still make sense as the background story is pretty much the same especially on char. though on story their are some twist etc.
Fyi this GGZ the kiana, were playing as in HI3 is one of the 2 clones of the original kiana, kiana here is the HoE (Herrscher of the end) this herrscher here so in HI3 they might make the Clone kiana we play as (HoV) go against the real kiana (HoE) in the future

Because it really isn't Kiana that's evil but rather the Sirin that's inside her that's "evil".
That being said though, I really wouldn't call Sirin evil either... I mean she was taken from her mom (Cocolia), used as a test subject for fairly inhumane human experimentation (as if normal human experimentation wasn't inhumane enough) to try and create valkaries and then killed by Cecilia after she turned into a lawman.
Her life's was pretty shitty to say the least so wanting to destroy the world is actually kinda understandable in her position.
