  • 1. Determine Eligibility: Ensure your iPhone is covered by AppleCare+. AppleCare+ extends coverage to two years (or longer with AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss) and includes up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage every 12 months, each subject to a service fee or deductible.
    2. Contact Apple Support: Start the replacement process by contacting Apple Support via phone, chat, or visiting an Apple Store. You can also initiate a claim through the Apple Support app.
    3. Service Options: Apple provides several service options:
    • Carry-In Repair: Make an appointment at an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
    • Mail-In Repair: Apple can send you a prepaid shipping box to send your iPhone to an Apple Repair Center.
    • Express Replacement Service: For faster service, Apple can send you a replacement iPhone before you send in your device.
    4. Fees and Deductibles: Depending on the damage, there will be a service fee:
    • Screen or back glass damage: $29
    • Other accidental damage: $99
    • Theft or loss (with AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss): Deductible varies by model.
    5. Replacement Device: If your iPhone is replaced, you will receive a replacement device that is either new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability. This replacement will have any remaining warranty from your original device or 90 days, whichever is longer.
    6. Return Original Device: If you use the Express Replacement Service, you must return your original iPhone to Apple within the specified time frame to avoid being charged the full cost of the replacement device.
