Clips from Critical Role Campaign 1, Episodes 24 & 109. If you remember the context for the second clip, it's a hint at a longer video I'm working on, coming soon 😊 As always this video is unofficial fan content and is not approved or endorsed in any way by Critical Role.
I literally just noticed that at the end of this clip when Grog says "I don't have to kill you now", Travis sets down a mechanical pencil he was holding 😂 full circle babyyyyyyy
I mean it was more awesome for drama and comedic timing than anything else- it’s not a feat of strength. Breaking a typical mechanical pencil might require around 15 to 30 pounds of force (approximately 67 to 133 newtons). An average man’s grip strength is 100-120 pounds of force.
@@jeroen92Not unkillable, he was turned into a revenant, basically a specific type of undead that won't rest until the target of it's vengeance is destroyed. Even if Grog did kill him, he'd have just resurrected after 24 hours, like what happened after Artagan strangles him to death
"Oh Grog. You couldn't if you tried!" That hits differently when you realize it's not just Vax being snarky, it's Vax coming to terms that he can never die.
I made a video about the pencil a while ago, and this one instead focused on a different aspect - Grog forgiving vax many many episodes later. Unfortunately shorts are only a min so I always have to leave something out. See the original pencil video on my channel ruclips.net/user/shorts_HLiCOGRyf8?si=2KgXnfb3njNQYdRK
The 'grog' tone reaction in accepting the apology just, literally just now, reminded me of '05's 'longest yard' when turley was like "I'm glad you're back... now I don't have to stab you" to crewe's confession and morale boost speech
Liam realised that at that point Grog had so many hitpoints that even his best sneak attack wouldn't help him much anymore. Apologising was the better option.
I remember in the Dalens closet oneshot, when Grog is ganged up on by like 4 different vampires just tearing into him... Afterwards he just spits blood and says "You brought me below 200 hit points... My turn." Before eviscerating them 😂
Vox Machina will forever be the best crew/campaign CR ever does man. Those characters were just too goddamn good. And that was with the rough growing pains of learning how to make RP really work. Pure brilliance.
I think at the time, they were making him roll to grow one because Goliaths didn't have hair. You also got to remember this was a long time ago and Travis got annoyed very quickly back then. Especially with everything going on with Orian.
I hope Georgia wins. Not just because I love Georgia, but also because it would all but guarantee both teams make the SEC championship, and would be one step closer to Alabama not even making the playoffs, lol

Never forget that shaving the beard pissed Travis off so much be broke a mechanical pencil with his bare hands
I literally just noticed that at the end of this clip when Grog says "I don't have to kill you now", Travis sets down a mechanical pencil he was holding 😂 full circle babyyyyyyy
Hand. He only used one hand

@@Tr3nchAn0n okay nerd
@@Tr3nchAn0nHe didnt take it by 2 hands and snap it. He had it in one hand and pressed his thumb on it, snapping it. Much more impressive
The worst part is that poor Travis has been rolling for WEEKS IRL to try and grow that fucking beard 😂
The big smile on Liam's face after Travis says "I don't have to kill you now" ❤
he smiles because at that point he was unkillable due to the raven queens boon

@@jefferyoneill1 yes. So unkillable -_-
@@jeroen92I figured that he was smiling cos Grog saying that he didn’t have to kill Vax now was like Grog saying “I love you”.

Cold af😂😂😂
Why clip out the pencil breaking, it's what made that moment so good

When Travis realized Vax was getting lathering cream lmmfao

The collective “Awwww” is so funny 😭
Wouldnt it be awesome if travis came our and only looked one way to reveal after this exchange he only has half a beard
I was at that live show! It was so good!

I was at that live show. It was such a great time!
The biggest mistake Liam did was not texting Matt and having Matt randomly ask grog for those rolls.
"Thank You. I don't have to kill you now"
“Another thing that I did…”
“Brew coffee?”
Maybe I don’t know, let’s say I assume *look of death*
Campaign one was awesome in ways that nothing else they’ve created has ever been.
Grog trying to kill Vax. That would be a fight. M9 is my favorite characters. But in battle, Vox weee freakin monsters.
Character growth at its finest
"Half. A beard?!"
"Oh Grog...you couldn't even if you tried."
And that's how you get off the List
A real Billy Madison moment.
Yes... 😂
Oh that is so nice! And pretty big from Grog, bc he had to roll IRL for weeks for that beard to grow back😂😂
ily liam and sam
"Oowww" "Hahahaha"
Vox machina just became a sitcom show😭😂
I would totally watch a sitcom set in the mansion!
Couldn't Grog just take off the belt then re-equip it to regrow the beard??

Answer to the question, what if Rahul Gandhi and Lionel Messi had a baby!
