Yes that was Donald Trump. He was a real estate tycoon of New York City in from 1980's into the 2000's. He actually went on to buy the Plaza Hotel. The Trump Tower is only a short walk from the hotel.
The Plaza Hotel has the Home Alone experience. Quite expensive, but includes pizza, ice cream, limo ride to parts of the city seen in the movie.
@MyFavoriteVegan - Does Donald Trump make an appearance and point you to the lobby? I'd do it if it included that!
Donald Trump owned the Plaza Hotel back then. And he spent a LOT of time there, so it was actually very common to see him. It was like Mar-a-Lago Resort is to him nowadays.
Oooo interesting! Didn’t know that haha
@@icedquokka he let them film the movie there for free on the condition they let him appear in the movie
@@Doirlami That's the director Chris Columbus's account. According to Trump, Columbus wanted him to appear in the film. He didn't want to at first because he was busy at the time but agreed to it in the end.
"Down the hall & to the left" goes right & finds the lobby.
So if it was like Mara Lardo that means he kept stolen documents there as well? Maybe that's what the Sticky Bandits were looking for.
Keep in mind that Trump was famous for being a wealthy real estate developer long before he got into politics. He owned the Plaza Hotel from 1988-1995. Back in the 80s and early 90s, he was kind of synonymous with wealth, before the tech industry started churning out billionaires. Which is why, in Lethal Weapon 2 when our heroes are in the shipping container full of cash, Murtaugh calls it a “…Donald Trump lotto.”

The injurys Harry and Marv go through is cartoon humour but your right in reality it would had ultimately killed them or paralysed them.
They'd be dead, if not for the cartoon elements of the movie.
Not many are actually fatal or paralysing.
Go watch surgeons and doctors react to them.
@@hannahstevenson27 medical student here. Electrocution, explosions, falling heavy objects, falls onto the neck or from multiple stories, are all extremely dangerous. In the real world these are fatal, paralyzing, or debilitating injuries, especially those in the sequel. Yes, I've watched doctors react to them.
*injuries
Just the very first ones (Harry getting launched into a car with enough force to completely cave in the roof and Marv getting hit in the head by even one of the four bricks) would have probably killed them right then and there.
Edit: or these injuries would have killed them in a few minutes.
"Whatever that means"
To those confused, it means he'll grow up to be a butt pirate.
Spoken from experience?
@@WaffleSauze My uncles showered alone, with the door locked from inside
"That was the sound of a tool chest... falling down the stairs..."😂😂😂 his voice change gets me 😂
Have you ever noticed that Kevin is significantly more polite to people who _aren't_ his family?
"The lengths they'll go to for customer service!"
In their defense, they all think they're about to be slaughtered by a madman with a machine gun. I feel like most people would follow directions, no matter how ridiculous they sound. :)
11:12: Always weird to see the Twin Towers in this movie. I know they show up in the background in pretty much EVERY movie set in New York between the 1970s and 2001 but Kevin actually visits them. Hits me in the emotions, though I've noticed only a few reactors seem to react to it much.
There's a great balance between the first two movies! I think they're equally as great!
It certainly was Donald Trump...Part of him allowing them to use the Plaza in the movie was he got to be in a cameo in the movie.
Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas from arizona 🫡
Thank you so much!! 🥰🤍 Merry Christmas to you to! 🎄
Trump owned the hotel and let them use it if he got to be in the movie. Don't know why people get upset about it, this was years before he was a big political figure.
It's because the Mark of Wokeness is the biblical Mark of the Beast.
He was always a bully, he's relatives even confirm this.
Don’t worry, he will be gone before u know it (2028 come soon)🙏
@@frankducky6130 Trump is the best thing to happen to this country in 20 years. Dems reign of ignorance and terror is finally over.
we do not like him. thats why
I would definitely hit the floor laughing if I saw a man singing and dancing in the shower along to the radio.
Happy Birthday Ice! Wishing you all the best and thanks a bunch for all your content!
Awww thank you! Means a lot 🥰🤍
"He's like a terrible uncle" there's an actually deleted scene from the first one where as a mean joke he pulled down Kevin's pants, and yet he had the nerve to call Kevin a pervert!
I think the skeleton bit was a reference to old cartoon characters getting electrocuted, in which they would often show their Skeleton's like they were getting x-rayed.
my childhood movie and Kate’s screaming from the 2nd one gives me brain cells and jump scare
one of the best sequels in the history of cinema
Christmas tree up in your summer is wild to me
This is practically the exact same movie and that's fine, because it worked brilliantly the first time! Instead of Old Man Marley we get the homeless pigeon lady. My only wish for Christmas is that this was the last we saw of Donald Trump. I love me some Tim Curry. Marv's electrocution is still hilarious to me. Every kid wanted a TalkBoy for Christmas that year, which they had to produce after this, because it didn't exist! This is when the series officially ends for me. It's not HOME ALONe without Macaulay. Sorry not sorry! 🎄
the second movie is such a classic
To this day as a joke my big brother still calls me "Trout Sniffer".🤣
I loved your reaction! I totally agree that this one is the best of the two films, even though they're both awesome. I watch this movie every Christmas Eve. How great it is mixed with the John Williams soundtrack is just amazing. I particularly love the song called "Christmas Star." It plays a little bit when he's thinking about his mom in the hotel room, and then the full version plays before and during the part where he's waving to the kid in the children's hospital.
I'll also often watch Die Hard on Christmas Eve as well, since it's also a Christmas movie (though not your typical kind) and very re-watchable.
I'm so glad you reacted to this though! I see so many channels where they only watch the first one and not the second, but as I said the second is my absolute favorite. I was surprised when I first saw that John Williams was the composer for the first two Home Alone movies since he's usually doing Steven Spielberg movies or Star Wars obviously. Any movie he does the music for is automatically twice as good since he's simply the greatest IMO.
Anyway, I'm super happy that you liked it. This was my introduction to your channel so I subscribed since I imagine I'll enjoy your other reactions. Looked through your videos and it doesn't appear that you've watched any Tarantino movies yet. I really hope you react to some of his films, especially Kill Bill. Though if you can't stomach blood/combat (even though it's ridiculously over-the-top fake in that one, but in a good/stylistic way) some of his movies might not be for you.
after the film released, the plaza hotel had the Kevin Experience, staying too at the same exact room.
25:37 Gotta love how their all just making fools of themselves in front of their own guests
Marvs screams fill my christmas spirit 😆
Happy birthday! Beethoven was also born 16th of December, 1770.
Thank you!! Oooo that’s so cool!
For reference, Miami to NYC is a bit further than Melbourne to Brisbane.
I wanted a TalkBoy *so* badly because of this movie. My friend got 1 and then we realized it wasn't as fun as the movie made it look. And this movie was hilarious and I think I enjoyed it more than the first movie. The first had a much more "home" type of vibe because of the location. This one was more of an adventure. I think I enjoyed it more because Kevin didn't have the home field advantage and still took care of the Wet...I mean Sticky Bandits without any issues.
Love the movies! The part that always get’s me laugh out loud is when Marv is electrocuted and turns into a skeleton😂 But you should watch Home Alone 3 too, it’s so funny and extremely underrated!😁
The Plaza Hotel is rather expensive ranging from $1,800/night up to $32,000/night
Marv and Harry have more lives than cats 😂
*HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!* 🥳 🎁 🎈 🎁 🎈 🎂
Thank you so much!! 🥰🤍
Happy birthday love🥳🥳, I screamed when you said your birthday is the 16th cause mine is the 15th lol
Thank you!! Happy birthday to you to lovely 🥰🤍
As an Australian, its so funny watching an Australian reactor.
You're accent makes you sound a lot like my auntie.
LMAOO I’m sure your auntie is a cool lady
I'm confused. Wouldn't she have the same accent as you? Your both australian 🤔
@icedquokka - Yes, she is. When we were kids she was always the cool one that wanted to spend time with us.
@CHARLAAYYY - Yeah, but you don't hear it in day to day life - you do hear it on videos and in movies for some reason. I don't know how that works.
If we watch an American movie or TV show, there is no accent, if we are talking to an American in person or on the phone, we do hear the accident.
Happy birthday! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much !! 🥰🤍

Visited NYC last summer. Just had to visit the toy store that this one was based on! Been to both Florida & NYC. Definitely take that trade any day! ♥ NYC!
His brother is a jerk! NYC is like 1100 miles from Miami. So kinda far away. 😉 Gotta appreciate how resourceful Kevin is! Those criminals would be dead!
Since this was in 1992 $967 would be $2174.50 today, or 3413.26 Australian dollars...
In America someone can sneak a gun into their hotel room, and it may have even been legal to carry in a hotel during the 1990's. The 2nd amendment allows citizens to own guns in the case of the government turning against the people, and %50 of the population has a strong love for their guns. Currently, hotels have signs at the front door letting people know they don't allow open carry on the property, but you can still sneak something in your luggage if you wanted to. As soon as someone says they have a gun (especially in America) you take it seriously.
And hotel policy doesn't supersede the Constitution. It's unenforceable. The most they could do if caught is remove you from the property. But you can't be arrested for it if it is a legally owned gun.
Happy Birthday. I hope it is a great day for you. 🎉🥳
Thank you so much 🥰🤍
I love your movie reactions, such a fun film to watch again. You should try dairy of the wimpy kid if you haven't seen it yet ❤🎄
$967 (the room service bill) is equal to $2174.50 in 2024.
And that's just about what a single night in an equivalent style of room there would cost now
@PixelatedH2O - Wow. Clearly I don't travel much and I travel cheap because I try and pay $150-$170 a night tops (Australian dollars) whenever I go anywhere haha.
Awesome reaction of my favorite Christmas movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊

2:19 well it’s only 2 years later (1 year canonically I think)
Watch “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” next!
Hmm I think it was both Kevin and his parents/families fault for the mix up yet again. Kevin should have been more patient and waited until they got into the airplane to put the batteries in his recorder. His parents/family should have been more attentive and make sure that everyone was there especially Kevin. But again they were in a rush to catch their flight and his mom wanted to stay behind and check if everybody was there. Then that mishap of another guy dressed just like his Kevin’s dad running the other direction. I’m glad the airport staff/attendant was diligent, but then again..Kevin mistakenly followed the wrong person and did not notice or realized that the rest of his family is no where to be seen in that flight. The same with his family, no one seems to noticed that Kevin was missing in the flight. When the kids are too quiet that is worrisome to me lol especially when you know that you kids bicker or fight a lot. Unless they are sleeping…that is concerning LOL! But again Kevin did not notice anything either in his flight, yeah he’s a child..however he did not seem to really check for his family either or found it weird.
having your own xmas vacation sounds nice in principal to kevin but you need the right things...you cvan't just walk into expensive hotels and get a room...if you aren't the owner of the credit card that is going to cause serious problems...
Miami is down south, New York is one of the biggest cities on the East Coast.
This is the last in the franchise with the McAllister family and Wet Bandits. The others aren't connected and not really worth the time (though that's your choice of course)
Also, no it's not a far flight. It's a little over three hours from NY to Miami.
While it's the last focused on the McAllisters, Buzz does appear in the most recent movie from a few years ago
what Marv said to the woman in French meant "forgive me my dear" but you don't say it to a random woman...it's very rude and innapropriate.
if the credit card companies have been notified that card has been taken it will come up as "stolen" if used...so the problem is even though kevin is the son of the card owner...that isn't something he can prove...the card will still be classified as stolen.
the injuries sustained by the thieves in the second film are way worse and some are borderline sadistic...if it was real life you would never survive...but hey this is a movie designed for comedy.
Happy birthday 🎉🎉
Thank you so much! 🥰🤍🤍🤍

@icedquokka you're welcome 😁
It always makes me sad seeing the twin towers in this movie. They were such beautiful buildings
It was Trump, funny enough usually when this airs on tv they cut that scene lol
I'm loving your xmas Jumper
Piers Morgan is incredible as the pigeon lady
I only know one line in French, but it would definitely get me slapped.
I like it more, the pranks are better, great reaction

Yes President Trump is in this film 😄👍
KEVIN! YOU SPENT $967 DOLLARS ON ROOM SERVICE?!
14:00 because trump was beloved his whole life, until he ran for president
No he was not he has all ways been a piece of all his life a drifter
Trump owned the plaza back then
Home alone 3 and 4 are good , just different.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Classic
WATCH HOME ALONE 3
😂😂😂
Yup that was Trump. He actually made cameo's in several 90's tv shows and movies, and the room service bill would be over 2000 by today's standards
Dam android app. I can't hear anything. Anyone else having problems?
Piers Morgan is an amazing actor, he did a great job acting as the pigeon lady
Donald Trump agreed to let them film here if he got a cameo in the movie
21:28 🤤
DJT in the house 😎
Fun Fact: Having Trump on your thumbnail made me nauseous. I mean, he’s in the movie for all of 5 seconds, but somehow manages to almost spoil a rather good movie.😅
That’s not a “fun fact” of any sort. That’s just you misusing a phrase for attention-rendering it completely meaningless-then proceeding to make a great advertisement for staying off the news and the internet. Trust me, you’ll be much happier if you ever learn to not dwell in cesspools of negativity. If you genuinely had such a visceral reaction, it’s a clear sign that you need to make some changes, seek treatment for your mental health (that means taking medication and/or undergoing therapy in a politically neutral setting, NOT getting high and pretending you’re perfectly fine like so many people do), or both. I despise Hillary Clinton and a lot of other high-profile figures (including several sellouts on the right; I’m not an unquestioning zealot), but not so irrationally as to impact my mental health or make me physically ill. Seriously. That’s “not it”, as they say. Note that I’m not even trying to challenge you on your views-or even your feelings, for that matter. That’s partly because I know it would be pointless, but mostly because that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m not out here to bend others to my will. My point is that this sort of reaction suggests a seriously unhealthy obsession-one borne of pure, overflowing negative energy. Justify it all you want, insult me if it makes you feel better-none of it changes the nature of the issue.
@@Armaldo468Awww, looks like someone was triggered. Go cry somewhere else, I don’t want to hear it. The bottom line is Trump is a convicted felon and is a piece of scum. He belongs in prison. If you’re defending him, you’re not much better.
U are right, it is pointless, no way to find common ground with dump lovers.
Womp womp
@ Triggered? Quoth the person who apparently got physically ill at the mere sight of someone they hate. Kinda the epitome of being “triggered”, don’tcha think? I don’t believe you’re in any position to throw that overused word around after such a display.
Oh, and try actually *listening* to people instead of just hearing what you want to hear: If you did, you’d see that I didn’t actually say much about Trump at all. I didn’t even try to change your feelings about him or anything. My point was that such a strong physical reaction indicates a deep-seated obsession, which you just reinforced by assuming I must be as easily upset as you. (If anything, the fact that you started your *opinionated* comment with “fun fact” bothers me more than anything else you said. I’m quite used to seeing emotional outbursts on the internet.) I’m a wordy bastard by default, almost never using two words when 250 will do; how much I speak has very little to do with my emotions. In fact, it’s often the opposite of what you think: When I get quiet and start being more curt is when we really have a problem. What you’re seeing here is my usual M.O. of rambling, which is how I talk in both writing and verbal speech.
I’m curious-are you capable of paying attention and responding like a civil human being? Or are you just going to keep acting smug as if you *didn’t* give a fantastic demonstration of the very thing you called me? Who am I kidding-it’ll be the latter. It’s always the same behavior pattern, every single time I challenge someone. No variation whatsoever. It’s…boring, honestly.
Home Alone, AKA Miniature Psychopath Terrorises The Mentally Challenged
Yes, that was Donald Trump the greatest president of my lifetime. And his cameo is the only best thing about this movie. Other than that, this movie was just nothing but a Holly Jolly rehash.
King Dickie got some Orange lips
C’mon man. You and so many others make it far too easy for extreme leftists to generalize and dismiss anyone who opposes them. I’m a Trump supporter myself, but I don’t worship him or anyone else like this. I can respect and appreciate people a lot, but that’s it. At the end of the day, Donald Trump is just another person, not so different from you or me. Honestly, this kind of zealous adulation isn’t much healthier than the hateful energy of the left. We ALL need to refrain from putting others on pedestals, bowing and scraping before them-especially mortal man.
When you watch this on tv they always skip out trump and all reaction channels should too
you should skip out on breathing, cry baby
Do you need a tissue? Are you triggered?
Remember that censorship works both ways. You're welcome for the lesson.
What is your problem with the guy? Like I am genuinely curious but please don't just recycle the medias hate speech and give me some legitimate reasons. I get that he is making it tougher to play make-believe in public but most of us stopped doing that when we were 10 anyway.
Maybe you should be watching The View instead. Better catch all the episodes you can before Disney realizes they are a losing property and drops their hatefulness.
Happy birthday
Thank you so much! 🥰🤍
