Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I am a programme dealer and having watched the video, saw nothing of any significant value amongst the programmes. Abit of free advice, anything with team changes and or creases is frowned upon by most collectors and therefore devalues it. 350 Arsenal programmes if probably worth around £60-£75 on a good day at a sporting auction, certainly no where near the £500 mentioned below. I have been dealing in football programmes for over 25 years and have dealt with many 1000's of Arsenal programmes and other than one or two exceptions (none of which I saw in the video) they are pretty much run-of-the-mile programmes that can be picked up for next to nothing. There can be good money in programmes, but sadly not these. The reason why the later collection sold for £300 was because it contained their most collectable season 2003/04 where they went unbeaten for the whole league season, that is where the value is/was, again the rest of them are pretty much worthless as a collection. The 2003/04 programmes and 2 from the 2002/03 and 9 from the 2004/05 season make-up the unbeaten run of 49 matches (English top-flight record)
Agreed, the Cup final programmes themselves are worth next to nothing, but if you can find ANY match tickets, they have value as more and more ticket collectors are searching for them (more so that programmes)
If you're not careful, you could waste a lot of time sorting, researching, and listing, only to find out that many of the programmes aren't worth a great deal (esp. with annotations regarding team changes). I haven't dealt in football programmes before, so certainly don't take my word as Gospel, but I do follow football. I think there's some pretty solid advice in the comments section (particularly by GrantHamsut). You have the added advantage that many don't, in that you have a solid social media presence. I wouldn't list these on Ebay, but would use your social media platforms (as you're doing) to shift these. If someone is able to pick these up from you, and you walk away with a profit, then on to the next purchase, and happy days. Best of luck, Nic. 👍
You'll likely get the highest profit by selling it as 1 bundle priced at the total value of $1 per item (~$350 e.g.) and with offers turned on. If you piece it out put it up as a single listing with quantity turned on and list each item under that umbrella, you have to find out the price of each item though and don't forget to calculate packaging + label into the price. The latter is a real PITA and not really worth it in the long run. The time spent doing all that is time you could've spent being more productive elsewhere.
My Uncle has/had a collection of local Dundee United /Scottish football programmes. He's sold quite a few recently due to space etc. The volunteer organisation he was involved with was also wound up due to the club sadly rejecting anymore of their involvement with things. He and others (who loaned theirs) used some for a few historical displays too. I've had a quick look at a few of them when he's been storing some here and the history of such programmes is quite interesting. My Uncle had a friend who deals with different memorabilia sell some online for him. I don't know about monetary values and I don't think as you said they go for huge amounts but hopefully you can sell them for a decent return.
as an arsenal fan with stacks of programmes and fanzines since the 1980’s they’re worth feck all. as much as i’d like to flog all mine, they are worth nothing, not even the effort to put them in the paper recycling. I just can’t bring myself to chuck them out, and can’t be arsed to list them 🤦♂️
I have something very similar from Bristol Rovers Nic, about 400-500 in total, so this is really interesting. I am considering splitting into decades, given the sheer weight of all of the programs! Curious to see how quick they go. Thanks, Jamie
Check home 1976/7 if you have the postponed West Brom programme it’s worth up to £500 Can’t remember the date , but look at any early home and it will show you the date that it would have been in the fixture list , if you see what I mean It’s a long shot but I bought a collection once just because that programme was there
I went to a lot of the those games in the late 70's & 80's, i think i sold mine at some boot sale or other. 1 nil down 2.1 up was a fanzine i remember the man selling them outside the north bank entrance.
Just a thought but surely Arsenal FC would have an interest in them. Having said that I'd be going through them for the stand out ones described by people in the comments. Good luck. Been watching for a couple of years now but living in Australia makes it hard to comment in the live blogs cos I'm usually half asleep!!
The bigger the club the more programmes they produce..10 A penny for the vast majority of items. I collect Rochdale and have just short of 4000 items some of which are very very rare and hard to obtain purely because of the numbers produced.Great and interesting vid though.
I would probably have left them at 50p the lot let alone £50! Brought a few bundles of programmes and they are a very hard sell. Interesting to look at read etc but you have to realise with 70’s and onwards 40k attendance there’s a ton of programmes out there and limited collectors
some Programmes are not worth much at all you could take an age shifting them unless you sell in bulk. BUT you have got a decent era so prehaps you may do well. Anything pre war is worth the most. It really depends on the demand. £50 could be about right but like i said its a 50/50 on how they go the oldest ones will sell quicker than the newer ones
Run of the mill stuff, dont split them up, sell as one lot, you may just double your money if lucky, however cost of postage would probably mean , collection only, for the buyer.
It will take some research but look for postponed issues. I'm no expert on Arsenal but my own club Mufc postponed issues can fetch hundreds to thousands, they are exactly the same as for example a 70s run of the mill programme but with original date on. For Example Man utd v QPR 1978/79 50p for the issue for the replayed game, if you find one with the original date on £200... *Sorry didn't see other comments on postponed issues, good info from the Arsenal collectors though.
Not much it’s the early ones, cup finals rarer games is where the money is Ones that have been written on drastically reduces the value Postponed programmes have value
Nic. I am curious. Are you paying the Royal Mail 16p drop off per parcel at your local Post Office? I have only recently discovered the 16p charge for the "privilege" of dropping it off a Post office branch...
99% of Football programmes post-1960 are worth very little if nothing and you will be lucky to give them away, Pre-1960 is what the collectors are after, and then the condition is everything. As a collection you might get lucky and make some money
I don't think they're worth anywhere near £500. £100 - £150 is more realistic. Postponed issues were mentioned but they almost never appear in collections like this, that's why the prices are so high (I think there are 2 Arsenal postponed homes from 81/2 which go for 3 figure sums, possibly Middlesbrough). That old one in the 1st binder is actually a pirate issue and although not official still have value. Another comment about team changes is also correct. While interesting many collectors will not buy them if they've been written on. If you did decide to sell them as one lot I would remove them from the binders making them a bit easier (and cheaper) to post. I would sell the older aways up to 1970 as one lot which is maybe where the most value is. I would also do all the 70/71 season as a separate lot as this is the season the Gunners won the double. Also do the menus on their own,
Having now watched right to the end, my advice is do not split. Their worth is in the entire collection, programmes and menu cards. Let somebody else extract what they want, and then they can sell the rest. But please do not sell for less than £500; you will get that easily.

You've not mentioned postponed issues, impossible to see if any there off the video, will be a lot of research but worth it if any turn up.
Worth checking through them, especially cup finals as they may have ticket stubs tucked in them.
Agreed, the Cup final programmes themselves are worth next to nothing, but if you can find ANY match tickets, they have value as more and more ticket collectors are searching for them (more so that programmes)
Top advice that! 👍

For me, I’ll only collect a programme if I’ve attended the game. Unfortunately a lot of clubs no longer sell them.

I sold a copy of the West Ham vs Fulham fa cup final mint condition for £25 plus p&p about a year ago so that alone could give you a good start!

With football programmes, the earlier the better i.e. 40's, 50's and early 60's. Cup Finals and semis are worth something too

There is a lot of international Arsenal fans maybe having international shipping will entice a buyer.

Would contacting a supporter’s group/fan page help with a job lot sale? 🤔💰⚽️🏆

heed the advice of the football programme dealers below. sell as a lot. value probably between £50-£75.
Nick ... team changes may be 'interesting' to you, but devalues their worth.
When I saw the word arsenal I was IN!
I hate Arsenal, but decided to watch the video anyway. I would never buy Arsenal wine even if it was 90p.

You have got yourself an absolute bargain. You should get at least £500 (yes five hundred pounds) for those.
Sell as 1 lot and do not separate.
Hey Roger, I have lots of football programmes for sale. Would love to sell them to you if you think these are worth £500!
