Dudhsagar Waterfalls in full flow - 12779 Goa Exp. (July 18, 2017)

- A major attraction in our Goa Exp. trip from Madgaon to Pune was the Dudhsagar Falls in the Braganza Ghat section. Luckily for us, it had been raining incessantly for the past few days and the Falls was at its peak. When I finally came face-to-face with Mother Nature's spectacle, I was simply awestruck, as is evident from my rather vocal appreciation :-)
Salute the engineers ..! Who constructed the railway bridge .

We reached this place at dawn. The train stopped 1km before the falls so we had to walk to the falls and we clicked a lot of pictures there and then we had to walk all the way to the nearest station which is Kulem. It was a total of 20+km. We're exhausted but when I remember those days, it's worth it!
I make it a point to visit this place at least once in a year. Must have visited at least 20 times. Still feel that adrenaline rush when Goa express (the only daily train on this route) passes through these lovely Western ghats.
What an amazing route this is, especially during monsoon.

I visit every year to goa during monsoon ( except 2020)and I travel only by train to enjoy the majesty of this falls! Hope you enjoyed the vada pavs as well at londa jn unless you were traveling to Delhi 😊

Indeed! It was so overflowing with water, due to incessant rains, that my fellow travelers and I were simply blown away by this marvel of nature.

Very Nice photography. Just stay and enjoy at the falls. We stayed overnight at the footfall of falls (below the bridge level), amazing experience, we never forget those life time moments. Lovely spot.. make trip during winter, if staying in the jungle, keep full packed, nothing is available at sight except jungle wood for fire camp. Enjoy..

Wow it’s nice to seem some nature in India. Some of us just imagine India as air pollution and rubbish everywhere. It’s good that some nature has remained intact
For that you need to travel to see beuty of country, do not build opinion based on biased media.

In India even with really high, desnse population Tigar, Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Hippo, birds, uniques species of monkies, and many more are still living in their natural habitats along with this desne population and flourishing. In US with less population and large geography no sanctuaries or wild life saved. Everything is hunted even boars and birds just because some one seems them dirty, their property needs to be cleaned. Everywhere concrete, glass, my property, your property, my rights and that is what I am seeing. May these western countries get civilized
One of the most Beautiful & unique rail route in the world. Really lovely video . Diesel locos enhanced the beauty more in this section. This route should not be electrified.

Sorry, it wasn't India. This line which is considered an engineering wonder was constructed by the then Portuguese administration in Goa. Viva Portugal! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_of_India_Portuguese_Railway
Indian railways didn't constructed this dudhsagar falls railway line and most of the lines in hilly region was constructed by british

You can. But I think they close it during monsoon.
Wow same like bbay to Poona railway route under mountain tunnels via khandala lonavala.😂 missed that in 2020 bcas 2 tourist spot ( doodh sagar lake n fall , dolphin boat trip ) not included in goa tourism bus trip of north n south goa sight scene trip.😸 you can make it 4 day trip n include 2 more tourist spot, better luck next time.😂 I saw pics of tourist bathing n swimming in doodhsagar lake etc.😸 ram ram .
