Complex numbers - Addition Subtraction and Multiplication

This is the second lecture in my course on advanced linear algebra. In the first lecture I considered the imaginary unit and complex numbers. In this lecture I explore the important topic of complex arithmetic, multiplying a complex number by a scalar, adding and subtracting complex numbers and multiplying complex numbers.
I also discuss the conjugate of a complex number and show how this is related to the norm of a complex number.
