All the symptoms from your brain melt video sounds like Charles Bonnet syndrome. Explains the steroids working, headaches, monster faces, macular degeneration, twin with similar symptoms. Maybe a brain swelling could have caused it but sure sounds like it, usually takes a year or longer to heal. Kinda falls right in line. Hope you heal fast!

Thank you so much for posting. So awesome that you share your journey with us even though it's so difficult.
I hope you don't feel offended in some way but it's sooooooooooooooooooooooo interesting. Life will fuck us all in some way or another, but you got completely blindsided. Interesting to hear you talk about it teaching you about suffering. I genuinely wish you all the best and that your full health comes back to you in due course, which I'm sure it will. You could read my next sentence and think no bro, just no, but honestly one day I feel like there's gonna be a lot of value in the perspective this traumatic experience provides, and you should be able to leverage that to reach insane levels in the future.
      Peace. 8

& to whoever is still reading this, as hard as it may be, do your best to stay composed, remain in your element, value what you have in the moment, keep the promises you make to yourself, & evolve into a stronger, better version of yourself each day. remember that you are all special in your own unique way & whatever you are arguing with yourself about is irrelevant, & you are more than capable of doing what you are giving yourself excuses on

What you're going through is pretty normal for anyone who's experienced serious mental health challenges and/or major trauma's that have ruined their world.
You're right - trauma changes us. You can never get that innocence back and you will never be the person you were before.
However, in a year or two you may reach a new plateau - a new sense of normalcy.
And as difficult as it all is there lies within suffering an experience to really find yourself. Especially when you can't do anything - there's nowhere else to go but experience what you've got to experience in front of you or in your brain, etc.
I know it may seem like ranting but I've been in a similar situation before. All things level out with time. It can't remain new forever.
TLDR: If you can't escape your suffering surrender to it. Then you won't suffer as much. So much of our suffering is resistance to what is.

In 1998 I was a young man deployed to Saudi Arabia with the AF. I find myself in a war- Operation Desert Fox. Everyone wanted to kill me and my AF buddies. In a missile attack one night I was running to a bunker putting on my gas mask in a Scud missile attack from Sadaam Hussein’s military. I laid there swallowing my tears in my mask watching missiles fly overhead. Weeks of that. Every day might be the last. That’s hard to take. I made it through those times and now I use that as a measure to gauge any time I might be having a bad or stressed day at work for example. Then I realize nothing is worse than that time. And I’ll just be ok. Use the low points as your gauge. And since you made it through that, you’ll push through the bad days. Keep the wind in your face. You’ve taught me a lot about investing and have a lot more to give. Take care man.

That's incredible Adam, this is a side of you I had no idea. I lost my Mom to cancer at 16 and then my Dad at 19 and I worked in culinary for 14 years. In my days as a chef, I vowed myself to the nutrition side of food and not just the cooking aspect. Modern diets are HIGHLY HIGHLY susceptible to excessive systemic inflammation. Obviously some inflammation is good because the body needs it to heal but absolutely STAY AWAY FROM SEED AND GRAIN OILS - they are teeming with dangerous high levels of Omega-6. Don't ask, just do some research, it's terrifying.
Also as a trader who lives in the north and get fuck all for sun in the winter time, supplementing vitamin d3 can get bad if I'm not getting my vitamin k2. If you dont have vitamin k2, you can't trigger the process to take calcium out of the blood and put it into the bone. Your blood vessels actually start to calcify and turn to bone - it's wild, but it can be as simple as calcification and too much inflammation that is the cause of your issue. Also make sure you're eating eggs as often as possible. Almost every nutrient under the sun. Eggs are literally human "superfood".
Love you buddy, thanks for the video.

@divinemanifestation I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease eight years ago. After realizing there is no cure and my dr wanting to pawn me off to his buddy for surgery to remove my intestine, I decided to take my health into my own hands.
I went down a rabbit hole and realized I needed to decrease the inflammation in my body. Everything you said about the omegas, seeds, and harmful oils was spot on. I also eat free-range boiled eggs daily, raw milk, and grass-fed meat. I stay away from any foods that can trigger inflammation and end my nights with a castor patch (it helps reduce inflammation in the body and provides a lengthy list of other benefits.)
I have been off my meds for 3 years and haven’t had any flare-ups in 2 years. It’s been a long road to get to this point, and I learned a lot about myself along the way. I'm 6’2’’ and weigh in at 120lbs, had no energy and my wife left me at my lowest point. As of today I'm back to 170lbs and trying to be more optimistic about the future.
@inthemoneyadam, you and your brother will beat this disease. I’m going to keep you in my prayers. I just stumbled across your channel, and the world needs more people like you, brother! 🙏🏾

An ode to suffering. Firstly, I’d like to acknowledge everything you are saying. We all suffer to some degree, and it is certainly hard.
Through my own experiences, I choose to see it as an opportunity for growth. It’s the universe saying “this is yours to bare.” It’s your own distinct burden to carry. And you will be better for it, as a human being who has the chance to contribute to the healing of the greater whole, as you have here.
Appreciate life for what it is. It’s just life. It can suck. It is hard. It can get better. Progress is always possible, as long as you have life to live.
I empathize with you and I sincerely wish you well. Thank you for opening yourself to the collective. I hope talking about it has helped you along your way.

Adam you got balls to come out and tell your story. I wanted to tell you your not alone. I feel like your symptoms mimic mine. My symptoms were sometimes i wake up being blind in one eye. Can’t feel my legs, felt disconnected from my body, felt like my head was about to explode. I never felt so much pain of waking up and barely getting out of bed. I went from doc to doc to my dismay none of these docs knew what i was talking about. Then finally when i checked myself into urgent care center they decided to test me for lyme disease. The results came back that I have been infected with longterm lyme which gave me encephalitis. Doctors gave me doxycycline which made it worse due to herxing affect. But as soon as I was finished the antibiotics I felt like a new man. I honestly think you might have an underlying infection. Adam you can get threw this if I got threw my ordeal of hell lasting year and half you can get threw yours I believe in you.

Second this as well. Wouldn't hurt to get tested. Two good friends of mine had undiagnosed Lyme Disease which resulted in both of them developing neurological Lyme. Started with chronic fatigue and deteriorated from there. One of them developed facial palsy until he was treated. Ended up needing a picc line that ran from his arm into his heart.
*This is my google armchair doctorate disclaimer, I have zero background in medicine*
In the My Brain Melted video, Adam talks about having elevated myelin basic protein which could may be a clue leading to a Lyme diagnosis. As he stated, elevated MBP typically is an indicator of multiple sclerosis. In a write up I read by livediseasefree dot com, they cite research done by Alan B MacDonald in which he found Borrelia (the bacteria in lyme disease) will embed itself in the myelin sheath. The symptoms of LD and MS are very similar and its possible that the body is attacking that myelin sheath in an attempt to rid it of those spirochetes, leading to an elevated level of MBP.
The only thing that makes me question this though is that him and his brother developed symptoms at the same time. And that Idaho is not a hotbed for ticks carrying lyme disease. My bet would be that him and his twin would've had to have visited a state where Lyme ridden ticks are rampant such as the north of the east coast. Or that one of them did and possibly brought back ticks to the place they shared. Who knows. Still wouldn't hurt to get tested.

@@Irulez2000 as an MD I completely agree. Medical school doesn’t teach Lyme disease as it should, there are doctors who have had their licenses removed for treating “chronic” Lyme disease with prolonged antibiotics. It is a shame because it makes other doctors afraid of even recognizing it. There is no ICD code for chronic Lyme, and there should be, therefore insurance won’t cover the treatment if it doesn’t have a diagnosis code.

I've suffered a lot of pain including blurry vision, joint pain, inability to walk without the use of a cane. Many doctors only treated symptoms but not the underlying cause. Finally a Rheumatoid Arthritis doctor diagnosed me with Reiters syndrome where my healing began. I understand the pain and suffering where you almost feel like giving up. Stayed strong and bounced back. You are a smart young man and know that you will overcome this and come out stronger than ever. Crying and suffering changes. This may be the most important and genuine description of the human condition I could give. I have my own struggles and have had nearly perfect health. This is so still relatable, no matter how dark dim and hopeless things become. Those that have come before and will come after have gone through worse. If we are unable to raise to the challenge it does not make us failures. If we dominate the struggle we are not hero's. All of us are doing the absolute best we can with what we are able. I hope if nothing else the future gives you some peace Adam.

I watched your whole story last night. It sounds like you have had some very terrible experiences with arrogant and obtuse doctors who have tried to shoehorn your terrible experiences into something that makes clinical sense to them while ignoring what you are telling them. I personally believe that strength and pain go hand in hand -- that it takes strength to get through pain and suffering, and when people ignore your pain, they are also ignoring how strong you have to be, which can feel incredibly diminishing and hopeless. It makes sense to me that in the longer video about your story, you said that you wanted people to "bear witness" -- i.e., "this is how I suffered and this is how I had to be strong in order to survive." Even with your very detailed description, it is hard for me to really imagine the pain of what you went through and what it appears you're still managing in terms of emotional aftershocks. Just want to say that I think you're incredibly strong to still be here and I hope we have you around for a long time.

I went through something similar a few years back. I got sick but it wasn't anything specific, , most times the best description was malaise. But after 2-3 weeks I didn't get better. This went on for over 6 months and was terrifying and the worst thing I've ever had to endure in my life. I didn't know what was wrong and my mind assumed the worst so I was in a constant state of anxiety, , which meant I couldn't enjoy anything (watching a movie, playing games, etc.). It was very similar in a lot of ways what you described. I feel for you man. Hang in there and keep a positive mindset and don't underestimate the power of the mind to heal itself! You should look up depersonalization. I had this for well over a year and went through the exact same things you’ve described. Every single night I thought I was gonna die, and the feeling is almost non describeable because its just too hard. Like youre tripping on acid. I came to the same conclusion that it felt like a fishbowl or a bubble around you. Gradually I became better, but its still there 12 years later.

Sorry to hear about that. FWIW, I had a traumatic brain injury at 19. Lost my sense of taste/smell and had a constant migraine for months. Recovery was long and like you, I’m different from who I was before the incident but I am better/stronger than I was before.
Hope things continue improving for you!

Adam, You are not alone!! Your story is so relatable. Your openness to share your personal journey of where you are, is beautiful.
I only just subscribed to your channel within this past week. When I listened to your videos everything clicked. I kept saying he's good. You are a natural born teacher.
I encourage you to be your best student. Listen back to this video. You have all the answers to start to feel like you again.
Keep the Faith= Be sure of what we want and certain of what we do not see.
    Many blessings to you!

I don’t want to come off as self absorbed by talking about myself, but I identify with this in so many ways. So if the message of mutual suffering is helpful, add me to that list. I have severe depression and the similarity to his description of psychosis is high.

Hi Adam, I'm in near the same boat as yourself, very simular symptoms, I'm guessing you know what I mean when I say that near every hour and every minute of life (that your not asleep) is now challenge of sorts and your life and mind just doesn't flow and intergrate like it should. I live this and have done for the past 8 months and counting, it's extreamly scary and humbling. As you can expect I am actively doing everything in my power to improve my situation.
I'd love to chat if you get the chance.
    My best wishes pal

3 years ago when I was 15 I took large quantities of lsd and it was all fine and fun until I stopped. I had been taking a tab of acid every weekend. I had increasing snowy vision, I saw things move out of the corner of my eye and I literally got angry at people for talking to me. I felt out of my body for like 3 months . I’ve been trying to fix my brain for the last few years, I just learn everything I can . I think I’m 85% recovered and I’ll never tell anyone IRL about this beside my friends, but I did end up telling my mom because my parents were catching on to my Huge Pupils and at 16 got caught for Dealing weed but I’m trying so hard rn to do good and learn about business

I had a stroke at 30 years old. I coughed so hard I gave my self a stroke. I understand doctors not listening. I woke up in the ICU and they told me I had a severe inner ear infection and I kept saying ear infections don't make the right side not work. I was overall very lucky for a stroke. But during the recovery what got me was the fear. The fear that it is never going to get better, the fear that it's going to happen again. Every time my perception or my hearing was a little off, I would have a panic attack. I couldn't tell what was real symptoms or what was just my brain making my fear real. What you say about appreciating what you have is really true. Your video is very true to what recovery is like. Keep going, when you are feeling not right take some deep breaths and try to not let the fear get you. Just that helped me so much. Keep going, you can get through this.

I know it sounds simple, and may not be something you enjoy, but maybe you could take a trip out to a creek and do some fishing. Overstudy everything, the fish, the way the water rolls over the rocks, the way the trees whip around in the breeze. Sometimes when your mind feels lost, getting lost in the details of something mundane can help.

    If this helps.
I have a friend from high school who had to get brain surgery
The surgeon fucked up and whatever the surgeon fucked up cause my friend to get reallly fucked up vision. And because it was not his eyes that were the issue no glasses could fix it.
We all thought he would be that way forever unable to work cause by a doctors mistake.
But he kept believing and preying despite of this for years.
Fast forward of keeping in contact with him, 5 years later his vision has miraculously been fixed so well in fact that he is near 20/20
I think the take away from this is believe you will get better despite the odds and pray to whatever you believe will help push you through these traumas.
I've personally been through homlessness to become a realestate investor and endured different suffering then you are currently. But I believe in my heart that if you believe it will get better over time it will.
It may not get better as fast as you want.
    It may not be perfect
But it will certainly improve and there is a good chance that it will improve so you can have a semblance of a normal life again.
Stay strong. Embrace the stoicism of the suck like a cow standing in the rain on a farm.
I'm sure you can get through this

As a nurse who is brand new to trading I stumbled on this video. I’m sorry about your doctor experience, I believe you, you’ve been through a lot, I can tell you are extremely intelligent, and you will start to get better now. Continue with trauma therapy, consider a functional doctor/neuropath for the brain fog, stay resilient, be patient with yourself, recovery takes time, and you will improve. Hang in there! Looking forward to learning from you when you’re well! If I can help as a nurse in anyway, let me know :)

@InTheMoney, Mr. LEAPS, Doctor Delta, The Signal Amongst the Noise of FinTube,.. Adam, can I call you Adam?
Happy to see a new video. It's like hearing from an old friend. I feel like we learned about the magic of options in the financial markets together over the last year or so, man. Well, I guess more accurately, I learned (and continue to learn) from you. Point is, I'm glad to hear from you.
You seem to be in a much better place. It sounds like your path to healing has been no small feat - I admire your grit. I will say, your progress, albeit seemingly slow to you, is certainly evident as a viewer.
I appreciate you sharing your experience and insight gained. As a nurse, I regularly see patients overcome critical illness and/or severe injury. While we do our best to understand and help overcome the trauma of the experience, often the most effective treatment comes from exactly what your doing here. It’s hearing and sharing with others that have had a similar experience. This video will most likely help someone you’ll never meet. Your a good man.
I found your most salient point to be about how it’s too easy to come out the otherside different but worse. I like this attitude money man. Rings true for many aspects of life. It’s never going to be easy to become better. To quote a legend from my hometown of Philadelphia, a former heavy weight boxing champion of the world, “You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.” - Robert Balboa, or as you may know him, Rocky.
Be well. You got this, Jobin. Laters on the menjay.

But, holy heck, do I wish you weren't having to deal with all this suffering. I know you're on the path to recovery, and that your brain is healing (and will heal!), but the fear that comes with living on that edge and possibly backsliding. I so get it. You're right that suffering is not personal. And the uncertainty of how/who you will be in the future, what will be possible ... get that too. Wise words you're sharing here, a beacon for others. Sharing your story does lighten the load for others. Kudos to you!
