How does the Curtis Novak Wideranges work with Fuzz pedals? My experience is that some Fuzz pedals (e.g. Fuzz Faces) sound way better with singlecoils.
beautiful,,love love love that pink, with that neck everything pops, sounds amazing I built a jazzcaster/telemaster just upgraded it with a Novak jz-paf neck position and aa fender american professional jazzmaster rosewood fingerboard neck, has a fender 6saddle vintage tele bridge with a dimarzio stacked tele pup and reversed the tele control plate to put the volume upfront, stained natural with a tort pickguard like Elvis Costellos signature jazzmaster and I put jazz bass style plastic knobs on the controls, if they don't make the guitar you really want build it yourself, yours is probably the COOLEST pink jazzmaster of all time
Awesome build! Using a meteora neck was a clever idea. Would you mind telling me the specific wiring harness you got? I keep seeing the ones that are meant for les Paul or strata or Teles
Thank you! It kinda looks like Emerson might not be making the 1Meg version of the harness I got anymore, but here's the 500K version of the same thing: emersoncustom.com/products/standard-jazzmaster-prewired-kit?variant=42624893194
Hey this might sound random but I’ve been thinking about making a jazzmaster build for a couple years I really like the look and sound of yours could I do the same thing
Absolutely!! I claim no ownership over this design at all haha. I definitely took inspiration from other people's builds I saw while planning out this one. That's so nice of you to ask though! If you end up doing something similar, definitely send some pics, I would love to see it! 🙂
Thank you! Mine were too small, yeah. I ended up sanding them to widen the holes and then driving in the thimbles with a mallet cause I didn't have the right stuff to drill (definitely recommend drilling though, the way I did it was not fun hahaha)
these pickups sounds great. did u get them coil tapped? idk what that is but its on the website so i thought id ask. the whole guitar turned out great btw
Thanks! I do! They're obviously pretty different from regular JM pickups, but I've grown pretty attached to how they sound at this point. There are certain things that I think the JM pickups do better (super clean sounds, for example) but these WRHBs are pretty perfect for my preferences is most instances
I love the middle position for clean/overdriven stuff on Jazzmasters. Has a really nice tone and style. Congrats!
I'm in love. Those Wide Rangers sound like a million bucks
Thanks man! The WRHBs sound even better than I hoped they would!
Woody Guthrie headplate with a good message. Nice.
If it’s like 99% of other guitars, that machine misidentifies fascists
Great opening track! Nailed SY tones vibe.
Thank you!
What’s that tuning?
Love your videos and that neck plate rules
Thank you! And agreed!
@@noisegenerator I've got that neckplate on my partscaster Jazzmaster! It rules.
Man what a sweet build. Sounds fantastic.
Thank you!
Bridge and middle are killer
Sounds epic
This turned out so good!
Thanks dude!
god I love this so much
Dude that intro song is 🔥 that could be a legit song lol
Thank you!
3:44 Kool Thing!!

Kool!
Not surprised finding you here. 😉
@@dragyourfeels4154 It’s a small bubble! ;-)

@@noisegenerator yeah I just need to get some more gigs don’t have enough to make it yet but when I do for sure!
I want to get those butter scotch blonde squier jazzmaster and do something like this
Nice homage to Woody Guthrie on the neck plate!...or was it Pete Seeger?..somebody help me out here, I'm gettin' old.
Haha yep, it's Woody Guthrie!
what are you playing with the Eldritch Blast? GREAT GUITAR BTW
That's just a riff I made up for the vid! Thank you!
It speaks!
Haha! I almost showed my face too, but I didn't think people were ready (and by that I mean it's because I'm wildly uncomfortable on camera
😂)
@@noisegenerator Me too, man. You must be stoked as a goat with the new Jazzblaster, it sounds super sweet
@@binface9 I am! Thanks man!
nice work dude. Hey were you bridge post holes too small for the Mastery thimbles? mine are and I'm debating drilling them out, wondering who else has
Thank you! Mine were too small, yeah. I ended up sanding them to widen the holes and then driving in the thimbles with a mallet cause I didn't have the right stuff to drill (definitely recommend drilling though, the way I did it was not fun hahaha)

Thank you! I did not get mine coil tapped
I think coil tapping intercepts the length of the wire and makes it act more like the traditional jm pickups or something I searched it up a while ago
Sounds great! Do you like them as much as conventional jazzmaster pick-ups?

@@noisegenerator what do you find works better with Distortion or Muff fuzz ?
Humbuckers?
Can you make me one??
If you like slightly shoddy assembly work, then sure! hahaha
sick guitar, but that bass tho
Shame really, for me the forced relic ruins it, everything else is sweet.
