Yeah, with no regulation and all the people we have in the world currently, THAT wouldn’t cause any problems, I swear… As much as the youngsters can’t seem to admit it or figure it out for whatever reason, we have to have some level of government and rule in society. Human beings are naturally political beings. The trick is finding a proper balance between those who govern and their accountability to those they govern (Democracy anyone?) So many young people, particularly these days, seem to struggle with the concept of accountability, be it in their own personal lives (just check out the increasing stats on drug addiction, for example), or when it comes to government, which whatever you may think, is a necessary evil, at least to a significant degree. In the US, the politicians have forgotten who they are supposed to be accountable to, so I say remind them. If you live in the US, the best way to do that is fulfill your civic duty by educating yourself on the issues at your next election (no matter what level it is), where each candidate stands on said issues AS WELL AS the candidate’s character as an individual and professional, and VOTE! Anarchy and adopting nihilism is not a solution. You think you got it bad now? You don’t want to see what complete breakdown of government causes. Don’t believe me? Try reading a few history books. You can start in The Middle Ages, move through the French Revolution and so on. You think the police are violent? Try your neighbor when it is every man for himself and when food is in majorly inadequate supply. No form of government is ever going to be perfect bc it is man made and man, of course, is not perfect. That doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try to improve representative government in an ongoing fashion over time. But, that said, it wouldn’t hurt for a lot of these folks pushing for an overthrow of the US government to take a few minutes and look at the glass half full instead of half empty for once. Cheers!
