I am running my original 4GB RAM (DDR3-1600 CL11 - Hynix) with an additional G-Skill 8GB stick (same latency). 12GB is more than enough for Win10. I also upgraded the original 500GB HDD to Samsung 870EVO SATA III (500GB). Another upgrade I would suggest is to improve your Wifi card to something newer. You end up having a rather fast laptop after all these upgrades. Keep in mind this model was manufactured in 2012.

@@ItsBinhRepaired thanks, I know that 16GB (8+8) is possible, but this is not a gaming laptop and therefore 4+4 RAM is enough for me. I installed an i7-2630qm processor and a Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SSD (disk C). HDD 500GB (disk D). There is no need to buy a 500GB-1TB SSD because even these drives are not 50% full of files.

Whatever you can fit that matches the specs of the original RAM.

SSD is most important
@ItsBinhRepaired not true about SSD being more important, both of them are but max RAM capacity for this model is 16gb SODIMM DDR3 1600Mhz
