RJ Studio brings you a new podcast series called 'Mohabbatein - The Stories Behind The Artists'.
Now, when you hear this title for the first time, you might ask yourself:
What is Mohabbat?
Mohabbat is a term that means love, but not just simple love, it means the love of a lifetime. It encompasses all types of love, whether it be romantic, or towards art, or towards an idea, and the stories that stem from someone’s love is what brings our show to life.
The word 'Mohabbatein' sums up our series in more ways than one. The reason for that is that this series shines a spotlight on artists throughout history, spanning across generations.
In this series, we learn about the lives of these artists, we put on their masks and look at the world through their eyes, learning about their ups and downs, their successes and their failures, their muses, and their motivations. We get to see what truly inspired these artists, whether it be the love for their craft, the love for another person that inspired them, the heartbreaks in their lives that came from love lost, or the love for the idea of creating.
When we boil down to it all, the core emotion that is left behind is love or more aptly put, 'Mohabbat' and hence the name 'Mohabbatein'.
In the first episode of the series, we will be introduced to the poetess and artist Umrao Jaan, who, in her early life, had been kidnapped and sold to a brothel where she had to grow up and work as a courtesan. Her experiences and the way she made a name for herself through her poetry and singing is what cemented her image in the hearts of many but that is not all that she did, Umrao Jaan was someone who knew the struggles of being a woman especially in the situation she was forced into, and due to her understanding of such pain, she stood up and fought the society, challenging their views and forcing them to re-think the way they saw women. An artist and rebel in more ways than one, her story is one that will touch the hearts of all that hear it.
Our series will be released on a bi-monthly basis and will be available on Spotify, Amazon Music, and RJ Studio's RUclips channel.

आज की कहानी अपने समय की मशहूर तवायफ़ और शायरा उमराव जान अदा की ज़िंदगी पर आधारित है उमराव जान जिसे बचपन में डाकू उठा ले गए और उसे बेचकर कोठे पर बिठा दिया उमराव जान अपनी दिलकश अदाओं से बड़े बड़े नवाबों का दिल जीत लेती है तो दूसरी तरफ नारी सम्मान के लिए समाज से लड़ती भी है औरत के संघर्ष के दिलचस्प कहानी उमराव जान की ज़ुबानी सुनिए
