- In this episode, PearlescentMoon starts off with some fun with Hermits and silverfish, gets into some mail shenanigans and then follows through with a solid Labyrinth run made by Cub!

Bit of an update on the labyrinth time!

My new best time is now 44mins, 27 seconds from a new, streamed attempt today on Twitch after the video went live.

Here we see a Pearlo, the Queen of Decked Out 2, beat the maze with ease.
She was absolutely awesome. Even did some parts first try! Crazy!

I saw Scar's run first... there just is no comparing the two
Scar and XB: going mad from the labyrinth, requiring multiple potions, considering taking the whole barrel next time, suffering through only to meet another wall.
Pearl, Queen of Decked Out; first tries half the challenges, breezes through most parts, only needing 2 potions, no breaks, cheesing one section and even beating the creator of it on her first run!
XB and Scar still tried(or are trying in XBs case) hard and Pearl just seemed to enjoy it so much with seemingly no frustration as if she did a short challenge run. Absolutely delightful
Pearl even felt bad that she took more than one potion. She was still concerned about it in the beginning of stream.
Some people have done more parkour than others
The most amazing part is that you beat your own record just now on stream by beating the maze in 44 min. Truly a champion.
Scar is going to be speechless when he hears of her accomplishment compared to his multi hour grind.
There should be 2 leaderboards.
One for first try and one for everything else.
If you do reruns you pretty much remove the maze part of the maze.

I remember it took him like an hour to get out of the 1st maze
also bare in mind a couple hermits didnt make it past the first parkour section 😅, pearl was already in section 3+ before they quit.
When she did the first honey parkour bit first try, I was in shock. Scar must have spent at peast half an hour on that!

That would be funny. She just empties them every time she finds them but leaves the empty box where she found it.
Seeing Pearl's experience through the labyrith feels like seeing Cub's expectation of what people should normally, actually, be like in his maze.

According to Cub, Pearl is the golden standard of Hermits.
With all of the different skill levels, it’s been interesting to see the Hermits attempt Cub’s Labyrinth. So far, Pearl made it look relatively easy. But watching Scar, Joe, Jevin, Xb, and a bit of Grian, you can tell that it’s really not simple.
Pearl’s just that good!

@heatherreadsreddit8579 well, all or almost all of the other hermits you named, aren't likely to learn minecraft mechanics so they are proficient in them.

The parkour challenges are seriously tough. Even other hermits who do MCC struggle with them. Pearl is built different

I have to say your editing of the labyrinth run was spot on. You showed your frustration in the longer parts and you skipped the boring repetitive parts. That was the best run to watch so far.
agreed, I was consistently super engaged and wanted to see the next section! sometimes hermits cut a bit too much out for my taste, but this felt like a really great balance

Also, Cub told Scar to take multiple water breathing potions. It's fine.
pearl is the secret genius in hermitcraft, becomes pro redstoner overnight, figures out most of the challenges puzzles on the fly, makes some of the most creative builds!

Cub allowed Scar to take 2 potions from that barrell so it should be completely fine
Scar's gonna be so mad, his vod of running the labyrinth was FIVE HOURS LONG. He got stuck for longer than it took you to run the whole maze.
Yeah, but he still did it. Twice also with much improvement. He can become a better player knowing what's possible and some people wonder why put so much energy into jumping, it's not my thing.
Clearly Pearls MCC, victories were skill based. All hail the parkour queen!!!

Absolute GOAT at parkour/puzzles!!! Figuring out the bubble columns in that one honey section existed would've taken me *days*, you have such an incredible intuitive sense for problem-solving, and it's so gratifying to see someone rise to the really tough challenge Cub has set

Pearl breezing through the labyrinth is very demure, very mindful
I have heard 4 different RUclipsrs (in four different genres) use demure recently, and for the most part it is not part of their usual vocabulary.
So... What gives? Do you know where the trend started?
Record time in first try is amazing, congrat Pearl! Also you probably learned it by now since this is a few days ago but Cub does encourage people to take as many item in chests and barrels as needed so your run is completely legit!
Gosh i watched the entirety of Scar's five hour long vod of him doing the labyrinth and his truly awesome grind of "never give up, never give in" vs your straight skill? Was ridiculously impressive to watch. Scar's no slouch but watching this was something else. Insane props to you.
(Scar's thousand yard stare when he saw the ravagers for the first time was hilarious though.)
The Labyrinth was a lot of fun to watch, you really nailed a lot of that parkour, always makes me jealous to see people who can move like you in the game
That just made my jaw drop! I was waiting for anyone from either Pearl or Joel to try this but did not expect Pearl to CRUSH the labyrinth! GG. Other hermits be like 30 mins, stage 1, yet she's clocking the whole thing less than the evil genius who made the maze, and now off to the VOD to see the sub 1 hour run!

I've watched 4 hermits struggle through the first part of the maze so far, and Pearl just breezes through without a second thought.

The rule for potions is only that if you bring one in (not gotten from a chest/barrel) then you add the potion timer to your final time. Your time is legit. Well done, Champion of Labyrinths, Queen of Decked Out, Pearl of the Parkour.
You should check out the “Solarpunk city of the future” build by Sluda builds! So many cool concepts and ideas

Thank you for another entertaining episode, Pearl. I always enjoy a good shenanigans video from Pearl. The only more impressive than the crazy number of silverfish you all had going at once is how many infested blocks were still left on the map! That labyrinth looked like it was so much fun! Cub is brilliant.

i loved Croc! Played it as a kid on PC a lot. It was really hard back then, I wasn't able to clear it. When I revisited it 20 years later it was more doable but still quite challenging in some areas. Lovely game, it has such charming designs and sound effects.

Wow that was such an insanely impressive run, especially for a first go. After watching Joe and Jevin struggle and give up early on, and after watching Scar’s stream of his first attempt, I was so surprised to see such a short time, even beat Cub! Even with just her first attempt I bet it would have been hard for anyone to beat Pearl’s time, but with her doing it again on stream and getting a time of 44 mins, I seriously doubt any other hermits will get close this month without a lot of grinding out and multiple attempts.

Feels so good to see a Pearlo episode in a very long time. Fun and games thats what I love to see. I was kind of suspecting Scar for misusing the mailboxes. Well now he is caught red handed. Cub's labyrinth is a true masterpieces just like his Pyramid from the past season.

Poor Scar, he spent five gruelling hours on a livestream beating that maze, and he earned his victory. He came back after and cut the time in half. You waltz in and cut that time in half. Also, Cub made some changes after he and Scar played through the maze, so Cub may be able to cut some more time off of his score. But Scar really wants the Heavy Core.

I was seriously impressed at how fast you passed those two skeleton parkour rooms with the glass panes and amethyst buds! Even Cub had some serious difficulty passing those while he was building it 🤓 Well done!
Good to see you complete this in a video. I heard Scar did his on Stream and seeing it took over 4 hours on his first attempt I wouldn't have been able to see the whole thing.

Joe's building isnt just any building. Its the Bell Labs building!
That place invented a big part of what makes up computers today. Eg. The transistor, the laser, the unix operating system (which is what the cloud, and all smartphones are based on), C and C++ programming languages, both java and bedrock versions of minecraft draw inspiration from C as bedrock os written in C# with i think bits of c++. They also developed the photovoltaic cell, for all that solar punk stylings (though einstein got his nobel prize for figuring out the photovoltaic effect)
Bell Labs is(was) at the foundation of Tech ... And then got moved to canada in the ma bell antitrust, where it was "nortel" until all the bits of it got stolen by chinese spies (and also bad bets and overhype) and the tech invented at bell labs continues on at Huawei in China

I deal with chronic pain from an accident when I was driving an ambulance and a DUI driver ran a stop sign out in front of my squad. I only sleep a few hours at a time and content like yours really helps me get through long days and nights. God bless you!
