I prefer Armageddon. I do play it online because it has a massive online community. WWP hasn't got a big community and has less features and very little updates or support. You can play online without purchasing through Steam. Just buy the "sold-out" version of worms armageddon on ebay and you can update to the latest version and play online. Simple. Let me know if you have any more questions.
You don't need fraps. Did you know that ALL of your previous worms games have been saved as replay files! Just go to worms armageddon/user/games - Then you will see all your games. Although you will obviously not know where all your fails are. Next time you do a cool fail, go into the games folder and find the most recent game and rename the file so you know which one it is. When playing back a replay you can use the number keys to speed up and slow down, see read me for more details.

I quite like some of the features of Revolution but in terms of gameplay WA wins hands down. I played Revolution and found it quite awkward to play compared to WA. But then I'm used to WA so it seems like home to me. The WA physics, weapons, ninja rope are perfect. I can make any map I want in photoshop and play it, make any scheme I want etc.

Cueshark, as a Worms Armageddon veteran, I would like your opinion on Worms Revolution. I have that game, but I don't want to waste money on another edition if it's not going to be an improvement.
You gotta put the recorder exe in the same folder as ffmpeg exe which you can download for free. ffmpeg is the encoder which works well with this program. Then just run recorder, in the capture settings choose the replay you want, the times you want to capture and the other options. Change the video settings to h.264 ( high quality) and audio format AAC. Change to 25 fps which is good for youtube. In output video choose the file name.mp4 and location. Then hit ok and you should have the vid.

Ok, for maps you can go to Worms Map Database. wmdb(dot)org. Loads of maps there mate. There is a folder in your Worms directory called "User". In that folder there is "saved levels". This is where you put your map files. There is also a schemes where the scheme files go. Also there is "Games" folder where all your replay files will go.
There's loads of different game schemes that people play online. Each scheme has different weapons and rules etc. I suggest joining the TUS site. It hosts leagues and has forums. You'll pick things up and learn the game schemes. You can play with me and I can teach you a few things. Drop me a message when you're about and we'll play some online games and talk there. Hey cue, one more thing. Do you use mods for the rope setup, the mine timing, etc... ???? because i saw a lot of different things in the Worms game shown in your video. Very different from the standard pattern of the Armaggedon game configurations.

Oh, thanks so much! well I found the directory "saved levels", and I downloaded some maps from the TUS site. But they are only .PNG files. I don't believe that is just put these .PNG files in the SavedLevels directory to play these maps. I already tried to do this, but it didnt work. Sorry for too much asking.

It's a little thing with the replay player that shows the timer on each appropriate weapon to the 1/100th of a second.
Technically it can only do it to 1/50th a second as the game updates at 50 hertz, aka 50 updates per second.

Dicking around with a pidgen? When I used them, they were really good. Much better then the missile. Then again, i played the PS1 port.
