Dear Laura have a wonderful year ahead , you our now my eyes and ears of Dartmoor and bless your lovely dog too , thank you for sharing the area that I grew up in and loved and greatly miss .
This struck me as a somewhat heavenly experience! 🌌 🌝 I remember all of my rambles as if they were my children, the point being that paradoxically, I always felt cared for and respected out there in nature more that I would ever experience down on the ground in between hustle and bustle. It is not that I am asocial, it's just that people aren't always considerate, nurturing souls; occasionally the exact opposite. May happiness befall us this one year just arrived; take care of yourself you two, Tumble and Laura 😄😃
The Dartmoor 'lakes' are mostly all ponds or tarns that have been drained due to tinning in the medieval period, I've counted over 60 but there are probably more. I'll touch on this in a future film. If you come across a name but don't see it, let your mind wander and wonder, it was there once upon a time. That for me is the magic of Dartmoor. The beehive hut is a tinner's shelter, there is a beautiful and still roofed one below Brown Willy on Bodmin Moor.
Thank you so much for commenting I was aware of the lakes or the impact of the mining. I always forget to look it up when I get home. I will look up the timers hut on Bodmin too
Just came across your channel - I love it, so calming and peaceful to watch. I live in Aus now and so miss the UK countryside - it’s a little harsher here, not so calming and certainly less history to help your imagination wander. I look forward to catching up on all the other vids.😉
Hello Laura. Really nice camp. You had great weather. That sun in the morning was beautiful. Was it the waterfall or the beehive hut that was the point of interest from Dartmoor 365?

Looks great for stargazing, no light pollution, I envy you having that on your doorstep. Happy New year.
