The graphics, facial animations, art direction, and concept-it's not some Dragon Age or Ubisoft title. Compare ND to Concord? Are you serious? I’m also tired of the whole woke agenda in games. Anything that’s forced and pushed everywhere becomes exhausting, and I understand why people are fed up. BUT Yes, it’s annoying that nowadays every other character is gay or non-binary. However, I have ABSOLUTELY no problem with it when it’s done appropriately. I think the industry has pushed this so much everywhere that even the slightest hint of it now irritates people. In my subjective opinion, she looks absolutely fine and even charismatic in some ways. A bounty hunter can’t look like a blonde bombshell; in my view, her appearance suits her character perfectly. And her short haircut doesn’t say anything about her gender or sexual preferences. In conclusion: keep it together, and let’s wait and see. Personally, I have high expectations for the game, and I’m hyped. Finally, something new and unique!

game gives me Cowboy Bebop vibes, I love NaughtyDog's focus on immersion especially both last of us games and Uncharted 4 them adding these brands on purpose, the Porsche which is supposed to repersent the 80's Porsche 911 (just like CDPR/Cyberpunk did with Johnny Silverhand's car) and Adidas they what looks like made a futuristic cyberpunk version of the Adidas Leather Retro's Hi-Tops (perhaps 1984 to be specific). I'm just interested to see what the planet location for the game will look like - my prediction for the vibe is that the world's orbit doesn't let people leave and it's been 600 years since a soul returned from it so, there could be generations worth of culture with the potential inhabitants and they have their own settlements or the world is just lifeless aside from robot monsters like Jordan the protag is seen fighting. I don't care much that the main character isn't a supermodel or any of that crap but I at this point find Jordan's character a little dull, I would prefer a more punky look for them to be more memorable to me but that's just going off what we've seen. Would I prefer she had hair? wouldn't change anything no. but if she had a more interesting buzz cut w/ head tattoo's or even cybernetics I would love that more.

As someone who's met her in real life, I can say Tati is a gorgeous woman with a fun personality that's why it bothers me that they made her character so unlikeable. They could have easily given her a period accurate 1986 retro look, which is the time period the game supposedly takes place in according to the creator, 80s hairstyles and clothes would fit her perfectly since it resembles her style irl but instead they made her look like a neo-nazi skinhead with a bratty personality. Theres a definite push by western game studios to make unattractive unlikable female characters. If you look at the female face models being used, (Aloy, Mary-jane, etc) compared to the final characters, and the appearance and personalities of the characters in recent games like Concord its clear as day. Why there's a push for this when it's affecting sales I don't understand, they clearly have an agenda and they still have people defending them because of they're political beliefs or because they think they're "doing the right thing" which is ridiculous. @pse2020 the overall "design" is what bothers me, not just her hairstyle, if I'm going to play as and have to look at a character for 10 plus hours they should at least be likeable and aesthetically pleasing ,but since youre talking about her hairstyle the character is shown in an red Akira jacket, jeans and a pair of red stripped high top Adidas, she's currently a bounty hunter and not in the military meaning she could choose any style, a 80s hairstyle would have fit the aesthetic much better than a bald head imo , now if you could customise the characters look and her personality changed in the game according to your actions that would be an instant buy in my books.

Gamers did not like the direction Neil Drukman took the story and characters, which is why we saw whole shelves full of unsold copies collecting dust in stores. Gamers aren't angry because the protagonist is unconventional, it's just that the character comes off as smug an unlikeable, even though the Dev made charismatic characters before. These men rarely see females or have them at unrealistic expectations to always look like they do when 20 and 1 lb of makeup and style shop hair. My issue with the game is that, at first glance, it seems to be trying to rehash older media: Guardians of the Galaxy meets Firefly meets Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, featuring sword play in a retro-futuristic ’80s setting-a style that’s been run into the ground. A space bounty hunter game is as original as concepts like space pirates, mech pilots, or explorers. I’m hoping there’s more depth to the character of Jordan A. Mun than just being a female Peter Quill or Spike Spiegel knockoff. While I can appreciate the game’s portrayal of diverse women - one being a half Black, half Korean woman and another missing an eye - I wonder how Naughty Dog will develop these characters (and the actresses portraying them) in a project that neither feels original nor escapes unfair criticism for its bold representation. I dislike the blatant product placement, which makes it seem like a TV or movie adaptation is already in the works. The signature Naughty Dog cinematic experience is becoming tiresome. We get it-the game aims for a Hollywood-esque feel-but I’m not keen on my games having a Joss Whedon-style production. The MCU, another overdone experience, is one reason gamers stopped going to the movies-along with rising ticket prices. I find it absurd to label Mun a "girl boss" or a "Mary Sue" just because she’s portrayed as highly skilled and seemingly unstoppable, without considering who she is or why she has those abilities. My criticism isn’t about the game having a bald female protagonist-I take issue with its lack of originality and how predictably marketable she is to gamers. Her character design and demeanor seem like what you’d get if Sigourney Weaver from the Alien series played Han Solo. It feels as though Naughty Dog’s default approach is to model every protagonist after Han Solo, making the creative direction feel stagnant.

So Neil Druckmann actually delved into the plot’s details actually, and explained that it had themes of faith in different institutions. The robot at the end of the trailer looks like a guardian of sorts, to some form of relic or ruins, indicated by the inscriptions on it’s shoulder pad, and the detailing on it’s face plate, indicating this is about a religion that meshed with technology. This is further exacerbated by the song used in the trailer, “It’s a Sin” by the Pet Shop Boys, detailing the suffocation of the songwriter’s time in catholic school. The idea of retro futurism plays into this as well, where analog interactions mix with futuristic design. It’s impractical but they somehow mesh. The themes and ideas of contradiction are all over this trailer. People really aren’t giving credit to how detailed it is.

Yes, it’s annoying that nowadays every other character is gay or non-binary. However, I have ABSOLUTELY no problem with it when it’s done appropriately. I think the industry has pushed this so much everywhere that even the slightest hint of it now irritates people.
In my subjective opinion, she looks absolutely fine and even charismatic in some ways. A bounty hunter can’t look like a blonde bombshell; in my view, her appearance suits her character perfectly. And her short haircut doesn’t say anything about her gender or sexual preferences.
In conclusion: keep it together, and let’s wait and see. Personally, I have high expectations for the game, and I’m hyped. Finally, something new and unique!

I don't see why the hate from these dudes, they'd be gods damned lucky to ever land next to a women of her caliber in the real world. She got a whole lotta sum sum. It's just easier to make people look real when the model details are so high and they work with mocap and stuff. They have to do so much more work with Bayonetta looking models when the mocap model looks NOTHING like them, both facial and body proportions. With the way money is being thrown to make models, what the heck did they expect? This isn't claymation.
Personally, I love the world going in the direction of the REAL body. I was very disappointed as a boy that played nothing but games and watched anime to be dating girls that were all ugly and fat in comparison. Then I realized I was also fat and ugly compared to male models so I slowly grew up. These little whiners are just that... young whiners that have no idea what real women actually look like, and are lost in the glam of what Insta models take hours to put on. game gives me Cowboy Bebop vibes, I love NaughtyDog's focus on immersion especially both last of us games and Uncharted 4 them adding these brands on purpose, the Porsche which is supposed to repersent the 80's Porsche 911 (just like CDPR/Cyberpunk did with Johnny Silverhand's car) and Adidas they what looks like made a futuristic cyberpunk version of the Adidas Leather Retro's Hi-Tops (perhaps 1984 to be specific). I'm just interested to see what the planet location for the game will look like - my prediction for the vibe is that the world's orbit doesn't let people leave and it's been 600 years since a soul returned from it so, there could be generations worth of culture with the potential inhabitants and they have their own settlements or the world is just lifeless aside from robot monsters like Jordan the protag is seen fighting.
I don't care much that the main character isn't a supermodel or any of that crap but I at this point find Jordan's character a little dull, I would prefer a more punky look for them to be more memorable to me but that's just going off what we've seen. Would I prefer she had hair? wouldn't change anything no. but if she had a more interesting buzz cut w/ head tattoo's or even cybernetics I would love that more.

As someone who's met her in real life, I can say Tati is a gorgeous woman with a fun personality that's why it bothers me that they made her character so unlikeable. They could have easily given her a period accurate 1986 retro look, which is the time period the game supposedly takes place in according to the creator, 80s hairstyles and clothes would fit her perfectly since it resembles her style irl but instead they made her look like a neo-nazi skinhead with a bratty personality. Theres a definite push by western game studios to make unattractive unlikable female characters. If you look at the female face models being used, (Aloy, Mary-jane, etc) compared to the final characters, and the appearance and personalities of the characters in recent games like Concord its clear as day. Why there's a push for this when it's affecting sales I don't understand, they clearly have an agenda and they still have people defending them because of they're political beliefs or because they think they're "doing the right thing" which is ridiculous. These games are products, these are multimillion dollars companies that don't care about their customers , they're following an idiotic business model in which they're actively pandering to a nonexisting "modern audience" while alienating and gaslighting the core audience that helped build the brand. They deserve to fail and loose millions for their stupidity and ignorance.

I don't think it's because she's perceived as ugly exactly. I think it has to do with the idea which is now assumed in every game that has a female strong boss character is the sort of woke mindset that almost always comes with it.

I'm from a previous generation, I've been playing since the late 80s and my whole life everyone has always loved female characters, Samus from Metroid, Aya from Parasite Eve, Lara Croft, Hannah from Fear Effect, Regina from Dino Crysis, Leneth from Valkirye Profile, Heather from SH3, Ayame from Tenchu, not to mention the girls from fighting games.

My issue with the game is that, at first glance, it seems to be trying to rehash older media: Guardians of the Galaxy meets Firefly meets Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, featuring sword play in a retro-futuristic ’80s setting-a style that’s been run into the ground.
A space bounty hunter game is as original as concepts like space pirates, mech pilots, or explorers. I’m hoping there’s more depth to the character of Jordan A. Mun than just being a female Peter Quill or Spike Spiegel knockoff.
While I can appreciate the game’s portrayal of diverse women - one being a half Black, half Korean woman and another missing an eye - I wonder how Naughty Dog will develop these characters (and the actresses portraying them) in a project that neither feels original nor escapes unfair criticism for its bold representation.
I dislike the blatant product placement, which makes it seem like a TV or movie adaptation is already in the works. The signature Naughty Dog cinematic experience is becoming tiresome. We get it-the game aims for a Hollywood-esque feel-but I’m not keen on my games having a Joss Whedon-style production. The MCU, another overdone experience, is one reason gamers stopped going to the movies-along with rising ticket prices.
I find it absurd to label Mun a "girl boss" or a "Mary Sue" just because she’s portrayed as highly skilled and seemingly unstoppable, without considering who she is or why she has those abilities.
My criticism isn’t about the game having a bald female protagonist-I take issue with its lack of originality and how predictably marketable she is to gamers.
Her character design and demeanor seem like what you’d get if Sigourney Weaver from the Alien series played Han Solo.

So Neil Druckmann actually delved into the plot’s details actually, and explained that it had themes of faith in different institutions. The robot at the end of the trailer looks like a guardian of sorts, to some form of relic or ruins, indicated by the inscriptions on it’s shoulder pad, and the detailing on it’s face plate, indicating this is about a religion that meshed with technology. This is further exacerbated by the song used in the trailer, “It’s a Sin” by the Pet Shop Boys, detailing the suffocation of the songwriter’s time in catholic school. The idea of retro futurism plays into this as well, where analog interactions mix with futuristic design. It’s impractical but they somehow mesh. The themes and ideas of contradiction are all over this trailer. People really aren’t giving credit to how detailed it is.
