  • In this "Fashion School with Nick Verreos" video I will teach you how to drape a Princess Seam Bodice. This is one of the lessons from my new book, The Fundamentals of Fashion Draping. A princess seam is a seam line that traditionally runs from the armhole or the shoulder to the hem, where the bust and the waist darts are incorporated into this seam.
To learn all the fundamentals of draping, click on the link below to purchase my book:

Also, in this video I mention the pencil I used to mark my drape. I just discovered these pencils and think they are GREAT! (this is not a paid promotion! LOL!): bit.ly/GLPencil

Not only did I find this video informative, but very entertaining. I've been interested in learning to drape but thought it might be too complicated to learn. I love the straightforward but uncomplicated way that Nick explained it. I really wish he offered online draping courses because I much prefer that to books

You are the reason i am a fashion designer! Thank you for helping me with my life long dream. As a little boy I always wanted to be a designer. But being from Mississippi that was not going to happen. Thank you for helping me. I owe you everything.

Very interesting to watch. I sew on a much smaller scale (fashion dolls), and while I've accumulated a lot of ready-made patterns, I ultimately want to start designing my own. This video was great because it helps me see not just how a garment is constructed the way it is, but WHY. Once I know the why, I can infer other information from that. Thanks!

Hello :) thank you for an amazing video ❤️‍🔥 and Ive been learning draping techniques on my own for years, since we only draft patterns at school. May I please ask if there is a method to determine the armhole depth, even that my dressform does not have any arm plate? Thank you so much ❤

Ideally, I think that you would have a dress form that is the size you need. I don't have one, though. >_

Is it possible to drape on a human not a dress form? How about draping onto yourself?
I want the garment to fit me not the dressform
