    There is just so much to talk about the Dyatlov Pass. What makes things even more eerie is that most of the photos I used for the case where extracted from the teams camera they took with them on their expedition. What do you think happened to them? why was the tent cut from the inside? why were there signs two of them attempted to climb a tree? why were Dubinina’s injuries so severe?
    Thanks again for watching!

      I think that what/who chased them, had to be so powerful to scare people so much... I understand a fear when killer gets you.. But why would they climb on a tree? I think question now is about some serious alienbelievers.......

    Wow Top5s, I was about to comment "the Dyatlov is much too complex and detailed to be described in a single video but you did it amazingly though". To all those interested in furthering their knowledge of this story, Wikipedia is a nice start. If I could add anything, it's that the rescuers made the surviving guy (the 10th member) identify the bits of clothing articles found on the site, and he could not recognize one of them. Until the end of his life, that man remained convinced that the piece of cloth was a torn off part of an army uniform, which would have shown that the army arrived before the rescuers, and yet told no one about it. And for those interested a bit more in another creepy fact, (please correct me though as I may be incorrect), the Mountain of the dead (where they were hiking) seems to be very synonymous with the number 9: the Siberian natives believe that this mountain is home to their 9 gods, the Dyatlov expedition had 9 deceased members, and in the 1990s, a plane crashed in the area, killing 9 aboard.

      Too soon to say, but Soviet experiments mustn't be neglected, as well as the aliens you've mentioned, or an assault of the Siberian natives (this was ruled out however i think).

    There's a great video on the Dyatlov Pass incident over on the LEMMiNO channel. He does a 17 minute video talking about it with possible explanations. Apparently, Dyatlov, the leader of the group, had brought a handmade stove with on the excursion that was made to be used inside the tent. There are photos of it from earlier in their trip. The thought is that is caught fire inside the tent and when they were unable to get it under control, they cut their way out, eventually succumbing to the elements. The radioactive clothing can be explained by the fact that the two men who had radioactive clothes also worked at a radiation research lab. The video is definitely worth a watch.

  • @Bucketheadhead
    @Bucketheadhead 9 лет назад +241

    The dog suicide bridge in Scotland has been explained. It's a sort of rodent (a mink) which releases a scent the dogs can't resist so they jump down. The minks nest on the underside of the bridge. Those dogs hat survive the jump even climb up and do it again, they just can't resist the smell. Like most creepy things, when you find out the inevitable explanation, it's not that creepy.

    • @bobpew9567
      @bobpew9567 9 лет назад +33

      If it was because of the smell the dogs would stay down in the stream. They wouldn't re jump

    • @Bucketheadhead
      @Bucketheadhead 9 лет назад +47

      Bob pew The smell isn't coming from the stream it's from the Mink's nests under the bridge, so when they jump down the smell is above them again.

    There was a documentary about #1 called the Russian Yeti, it shows government documents and more photos. One shows a yeti peaking around a tree, about 10 yards from the camera man, and a video of a creature they screamed "Menk" meaning yeti in Russian I think. Check it out is one of the scariest things I've ever seen.

    • @TheDarsyKa
      @TheDarsyKa 6 лет назад +3

      I agree with Zdiddy7. I initially saw that documentary and was blown away by the photos. However I've done lots of research on the incident since and not once have those photos ever been mentioned. Obviously if they were real someone would be reporting on them. I think discovery just took a true mysterious incident and added some "false evidence" to push the yeti theory. It's a shame really. The mermaid and megaladon documentaries were fun to watch but they were clearly fake. But with this they took a true story and made it fake which tricked so many people

    • @brandenapexo604
      @brandenapexo604 6 лет назад

      Even if it was a yeti it doesn’t explain the apparent explosion, the specific removal of lips and tongue of one of the hikers and the radiation found on their bodies, if it was a yeti I would suspect blunt force trauma maybe some claw and teeth marks but not all the other stuff listed above

      aaronjacobwillman True enough but,that sword is double-edged.One cannot totally discount something if one was not there.The way I see it is,most likely these types of things did not happen,at least I hope not as that leads to a whole set of scary shit.

    • @aaronjacobwillman
      @aaronjacobwillman 9 лет назад +6

      Mike Passion that argument sounds good, but upon closer inspection, it doesn't hold up for a number of reasons. i think Occam's Razor is a good method to use when looking at cases like these. In that respect, it still leaves the door open to "scary shit," but only by a picometer.

    • @Logarithm906
      @Logarithm906 9 лет назад +4

      SirWilliamDeHooton You're right. At least ground stations can't detect the transmitted signal. The Shuttle got around this by transmitting directly behind it's velocity vector (where the plasma sheath didn't form) to a communication satellite (which relays the signal). Of course back then there weren't satellites to transmit to, so two Italian brothers had no chance of receiving such a signal.

    I know that this is slightly late (!) but has anyone else heard about that man who vanished from an Antarctic research station in the late1950s who left a radio tower to get to the main building and never appeared?
    The others out there (who were in the main area) received a message saying that he was on his way (which should have taken about 20 minutes) - the buildings all had hand rail type things made from rope so that people wouldn't get lost in storms between different areas and after an hour, they went to look for him. His footprints were found but suddenly stopped near the airstrip and that was it. No planes were due there and even if they were, wouldn't have been able to fly/land because of the storm.
    I find stuff like this fascinating, albeit grim. Thank you from 2018!

  • @simonwatts8338
    @simonwatts8338 9 лет назад +5

    There is a major problem with the female cosmonaut burning up story. When a capsule is travelling through the atmosphere at speeds fast enough to destroy it, there is a "flame" of ionised gas around it which stops radio communication, called the radio blackout. Even happens with the shuttle. So the Italians could not have heard or recorded it.
    There was recordings of Vladimir Komorov's radio communications on his fatal descent, but only after his capsule had slowed. It was his parachutes that failed and he apparently knew this and cursed his superiors all the way down.

    As far as the female cosmonaut is concerned, why didn't we hear the two way transmission? Why wasn't anyone responding to her? Also, when a spacecraft is on it's reentry, it ionizes the atmosphere around the craft making radio communication impossible.
    Also, the Russian hiker thing sounds a little dodgy. These hikers set out on a hiking trip that was going to last several weeks in Siberia in the dead of Winter? I don't think anyone would take such a huge risk. You're looking at 4-5 hours of daylight, 19-20 hours of darkness, temperatures approaching -30C or more and no way of predicting the weather. That doesn't make much sense.

    • @DaftPunkSkittle
      @DaftPunkSkittle 9 лет назад +3

      +ElGatoLoco698 yeah ppl think the hikers made that an excuse (coverup) for what they were truly going for and the one hiker who knew the area (Dyatlov) was hired the rest of the team already knew each other. Also the group was know for carrying guns but this time they didn't, maybe because it was winter they weren't afraid about bears but what about wolfs and other humans? they need to protect themselves so why not this time?

      *****
      I think the point is, a woman who is about to die wouldn't be so calm, especially when no one from the Russian space agency is talking to her. It's an indication that it really didn't happen. She would be yelling, asking why no one is talking to her.

    • @ElGatoLoco698
      @ElGatoLoco698 8 лет назад +9

      *****
      Huh? Did you hear anyone besides her on the radio? No, then no one was talking to her. If there was a communication problem it wouldn't be from the ground. It would be from the space craft. That obviously wasn't the case because it was recorded from the ground. There are hundreds of people on the ground making sure there are no errors. They have back ups for back ups. So the chances of that are almost nil. Furthermore, if she was entering the earth's atmosphere, communication wouldn't be possible for the ground or the space craft. There is no way in hell it would have ever been recorded.

    Marlborough: poisoning from spoiled food/water ; they all felt bad approximately the same time and died then together, their ship stranded uncontrolled on that island. After 23 years it's impossible to detect poison or anything in the bodies. That's my theory.

  • @faxedhead2908
    @faxedhead2908 6 лет назад +7

    Diatlov Pass: The two hikers that had the burns on their arms and legs were also found to be only in their underwear. They were suffering from a condition at the time of their death where the brain tricks the body, during hypothermia, into "feeling overheated" so they stripped off their clothes however once they reached the forest edge they realised it was a mistake not to wear any protective clothing and due to the blizzard conditions it was difficult to see their way back to their tent so they lit a fire, or at least they tried to, but the wood was wet/damp so the fire was rather lack luster. They burned their arms, hands, feet and legs because they were trying to warm themselves up by actually putting as much of their bodies into the 🔥 as they desperately tried to save themselves from dying of hypothermia, hence the burn marks. The cold blizzard was too much for them - it was over minus 20 Celsius! The burn marks were not due to an explosion. Also, the radiation found on some of the hikers clothes was actually only 2 jackets belonging to 2 of the male hikers due t9 the fact that each of them had separately worked in places in the past where radioactivity was high, hence it lingered on their jackets that they wore almost everyday.
    It would be great if you could do a longer video soley dedicated to the Diatlov Pass incident, but really get more of the facts in check.

    About the last one: What if it was an avalanche? I mean, they were in a mountain that had severe weather conditions so maybe an avalanche could explain how the hikers died. The tent that was cut from the inside- possibly from one of the campers that tried to escape. The men trying to climb the tree- possibly an attempt to survive the oncoming snowfall. Plus, the burns on their bodies could be (not sure about this one) from hypothermia, since they had little clothing and the extremely cold snow could've "burned" their skin. One obstacle about this theory however is the missing body parts and the torn skin that were found on several hikers (Dubinina). But still, I strongly believe that an avalanche caused their deaths.

    Dyatlov Pass, I dunno a bear maybe? The orange glow is weird, but maybe it's a result of the bodies being frozen, thawed out, then prepared for a funeral. And if anyone has been to a funeral you know the people look very different from when they were alive. The burns could also support animal attack if they hikers were using fire to scare the animal away

    • @aSStronaut111

      Paul Cipollini There is a theory that either they thought there was an avalanche so they ripped the tent open in a hurry, and the orange skin was from the radiation of the lamps used for lighting on mountain expeditions, or that they noticed a build up in St. Elmo's fire, which is a form of electric build up which signals an impending lightning strike and that they broke open the tent to escape. The ones in the ravine in this theory suffered internal injuries from their fall, and that the tongue and eyes were eaten by animals.

    • @chipo715
      @chipo715 9 лет назад +1

      aSStronaut111 i read that the tongue is the first thing to decompose on the human body. But that's internet info so who knows. The more I read the more I think they probably stumbled onto Military exercises or weapons testing. The lights being spotted by other hikers is kinda weird, makes me think that part isn't a natural phenomenon unless some weird lighting effects bounced off snow and light could be seen from far away. And im assuming here the light was fire being used by the hikers

    the dyatlov pass thing has a pretty solid theory that there was a nuclear weapons test gone wrong, responisble for the explosive and pressure damage. I had also heard on another video that there was radioactive junk near the site and the burns fit the description of radiation burns. This would also explain the strange lights. plus the mountain is close to where Russians tested the r7 rockets at around the same time. it's possible that an R7 or part of it went off course and landed/detonated near the campsite. doesn't explain why they cut themselves out of the tent though.
    Just a theory, and not originally mine.

    • @Abysslz
      @Abysslz 6 лет назад

      7 koalas in a trench coat this is a sound theory but can be kinda debunk because like you said it doesn’t explain why they cut themselves out of the tent, and it also doesn’t explain why the other ran toward the tent or why the one person was as messy as she was

  • @nicholasgates8012
    @nicholasgates8012 5 лет назад +1

    Dear Top 5s, as I was watching this at #1 I came up with a theory of what could’ve happened to the crew: A nearby bear was attracted by something at their camp site, it stuck its head into the tent that got ripped open by a crew member that saw the bear and tried to flee by doing so, more of the crew in the tent ran too, the ones that got burns were to ones running from the bear, one attempted to spray the bear with bear spray but another one lit a lighter at the same time in attempt to scare the bear off which of course caused a fire spread and caused that part of the crew to get burns and died, that’s when the bear went for the others that were probably awake and trying to kill the bear with a weapon but the bear attacked them before they could which would explain their serious injuries since bears are stronger than humans. The one that was partially dressed was either like that because his or her clothes was on fire and took it off or was half dressed from the heat in the tent. The one with most of her head gone was eaten off by the bear, and since it seems like it snowed a bit where the bodies were found the bears tracks were covered and that’s why they didn’t come up with a bear attack as the cause.

      Honestly, the way the poor girl was cut up reminds me of how American cattle had tongues and such removed. If it's not aliens then I say some kind of cult, although it's a stretch to believe a cult would exist over such a large amount of space.

    • @clothilde1623
      @clothilde1623 7 лет назад

      She wasn't cut up; she was found face-down in a brook and her missing eyes/lips/tongue were a result of natural decomposition and critters having a banquet. That said, her companions' massive chest injuries with no external damage are quite impossible to explain, especially considering where they were found. Spooky indeed.

    Those notes in Portuguese on #5 are written with extremely broken grammar, the kind you would not expect from native Brazilians, with enough education to be electronic technicians on that decade. Frankly that is the weirdest thing about that whole case, IMO.
    Also, Dyatlov Pass has been atributed to Infrasound hallucinations, as the wind passing through mountains shaped like that can cause infrasound vibrations that we cannot knowingly detect, but our subconscious picks up on it, and it can have devastating effects.

      Didnt know infrasound can kick someones ass... cool....

    • @zazugee
      @zazugee 7 лет назад +2

      yes, strange, seems like someone who isn't a brazilian wrote the note for these 2 men, otherwise why would they write it if they know what they are doing?, it didn't contain any complex stuff that was hard to remember.
      Jacques vallée visiti brazil and was investigating this case, he wrote about it in his book "Confrontations"

    My hypothesis on all "unexplained" incidences is, we really are children in an old and ancient universe. Our own planet has much to still show us.

    The last one was in an episode of mysteries at the museum and the episode said that the cause is now believed to have been a nuclear testing blast. They were running away from the bomb and all their injuries can be explained through the nuclear blast.

    Tongue and eyes missing were from animal predators and bacteria from being submerged in melting ice. Internal injuries were from the fall into a crevice. They may have fled the tent due to a weird phenomena having to do with sound vibration. It's such an interesting case, I've been reading a lot about it.
