To answer why Vernias got hit when he ledge grabbed, I believe it was due to his less endlag ability which probably affected every move Vernias does.

Remember smash run in smash 4? That shit was basically a rougelike and was low key dope as hell. I hope they bring it back for the next game.
I'd consider it more like City Trial from Kirby Air Ride rather then a proper roguelike

This idea is -more like a game called Rounds than a roguelike- *similar to a game called Rounds*. In that game, both players pick a power-up at the start and the loser of each round gets to pick another one. Here, though, both players get to pick a power-up regardless of who won or lost (which is also a Rounds mod). Maybe for a follow-up video you can do what Rounds does.

I get what you mean but rounds is pretty much a roguelike 1v1 (or more with mods) shooter
@@pyremis Yeah, true. I guess the problem I have is that "roguelike" can mean like a lot of different things at this point.
You start a game, get upgrades over the course of it, whether you win or lose, that's the end of it and you have to start over. It's a roguelike. Rounds is a roguelike. You can describe this as being more like Rounds, but that doesn't mean this isn't a roguelike as you have indicated, that is stupid.

Those Incineroar buffs were busted, super armor+teleporting. Felt like Vernias couldn't even fight back after that lol
I think the idea is that the Incineroar armor would have been broken and more or less countered by upgrading the damage tree, which likely would have made every move (except the multi hit aerials and nair) strong enough to break the armor, especially since the third upgrade was shown to be crazy every time, but we never saw what upgrade went beyond increased tilt damage.
If the damage upgrade was like Aura or double damage or Arsene, or some other crazy late game upgrade, Incineroar would have been cooked.
6:25 If I was still making Party Crashers CAH decks, this face would have been pure diamond material to add.

Fun fact: 1:47 is something that can naturally happen due to some weird frame timing mixed with arial drift. I wish I could explain how it works, but I'm not a super technical player in that sense. I just know I love using that into side early b's off the top, though in certain scenarios, nair pffstage works wonders

You know this concept here can be amazing with a lot more options. There's tons of potential here. Like one of them can be that your character just gets super mushroomed and it can stack. But then again having to do that with all the characters would be very tough to do.
This looks so much fun to play with lmao
Imagine the war crimes you could commit with certain characters. Sora with stronger aerials and a third jump would go crazy. Throw in a functional up taunt for good measure.
