Well, it's sort of been done may times before, the guy who is straight as a ruler to the world but has an overwhelming desire for an attractive gay guy. It's sort of like watching the early days of Robert & Aaron / Callum & Ben / Brendan and Ste. But it's still exciting and as a number of people have mentioned, these two have great chemistry. Hope it keeps going for a while as I like it ... hope John Paul doesn't stuff it up by not letting Carter keep his secret. The writers of Soaps seem to believe that it's not acceptable for a gay man or woman to keep it secret, whereas everyone has the right to take it as slowly as they need and in their own time without pressure.
I'm just glad Dillon is bringing attention to Lucas's change in emotions and behavior to others. The more people who actually care, and start paying attention to what's happening to Lucas, the faster James will get found out, and hopefully removed from Lucas's life, preferably put in jail.
@@quietastronaut When James took Lucas on a walk in the woods, told him about his childhood abuse tough discipline his father used on him, which was violently abusive, and then gave Lucas a demonstration by locking him in a dirty run down shed in the middle of the woods over night, and has been basically threatening him at home since, and has gotten Ste on his side, so they're both doling out extra punishments to the level that Dillon is nearing suicidal depression, I stopped liking James. I tend to draw the line at child abuse. I could forgive James for a lot of crimes against adults, but once you start hurting kids and tormenting them to the point they visibly look like they'd rather die than live at home, I immediately stop liking them.

I'm gonna address two things and they kind of run into each other. The first thing is i see people saying is that Carter could just be bisexual when that is clearly not the case. If he was he wouldn't be working so hard to prove points or live a certain way he could just live and date women and people would be none the wiser and pursue the likes of Maxine. Speaking of Maxine his Carter's pursuit of her comes into response of her being one of the only single women around and to run away from the jealousy and feelings when it comes to John Paul . The second thing and i hate when shows do this is that when everything is finally out Maxine better not throw it in John Paul's face because as a friend he literally tried to tell her and she wasn't trying to hear it so i wont feel bad about it.
It’s still the reality of gays everywhere. It’s not repetitive. Life still sucks for gays and has to be portrayed as such until it’s totally okay for them to be gay!
