As a child from divorced parents that could not behave and could barely be in the same room- it almost makes me tear up seeing what you do for your children. When I was little, there was nothing more I could have wished for. There is nothing worse than parents fighting, and you providing this for them is worth gold. It really can change their way of looking at the world - you’re creating a healthy environment for them, and believe me, a lot of divorco kids do not get that, and children remember the energy in the air from their upbringing.
i dissagree. this environment they create is quite sick and not true. it is ok of course that people are not fighting over kids and treat each other with respect but come on they are not together. it means they dont love each other and they just pretend it and create not real not truth world. there are no signs of love hugs, kisses, sleeping together, dreaming of one another, missing etc.... after some time they will start dating with diferent people and whole this beautiful story will mess up in childrens' heads. a definition of family will be strange, a definition of love will be strange... no i dont like this.

At age 58, I can say they are still my best friends. We have shared a lifetime together. It's a very special bond your kids will have with theirs. Nothing better.

Are you kidding, its amazing that you can do this for your children, they will grow up, become more aware that you both achieved, what so many parents don’t. The courts are over run with court cases of parents fighting for custody, one parent not allowing the other parent to seeing the children, these cases can take years, years of disruption & damage to the children’s growth, stability. You are so doing the right thing for everyone, it does show how connected you are as parents, plus it must be great for the extended families to see how things are working, plus there’s no issue with them seeing their grandchildren, niece’s and nephews. So true. There would be so many less kids causing trouble if parents behaved like adults in front of their children, incl not arguing, fighting because that makes kids very on the edge Al the time. Some kids grow up fine but many get confused and insecure, getting into bad relationships and bad friendships.
You guys are inspiring me that a breakup/divorce does not mean you have to end the relationship. It can morph into something different that both parties need. I have just been through a breakup and it feels right for now as well to continue hanging out. I get the same comments from people “why are you still hanging out” “you should make it a clean break” but I take pride in trying something different . Stay strong. 💪

I have friends that literally live next to each other with their new lives and the kids just move to wherever house they want to be in. They all have the best of both worlds. And everyone is happy. Are you kidding, its amazing that you can do this for your children, they will grow up, become more aware that you both achieved, what so many parents don’t. The courts are over run with court cases of parents fighting for custody, one parent not allowing the other parent to seeing the children, these cases can take years, years of disruption & damage to the children’s growth, stability. You are so doing the right thing for everyone, it does show how connected you are as parents, plus it must be great for the extended families to see how things are working, plus there’s no issue with them seeing their grandchildren, niece’s and nephews. I salute you guys.

So true. There would be so many less kids causing trouble if parents behaved like adults in front of their children, incl not arguing, fighting because that makes kids very on the edge Al the time. Some kids grow up fine but many get confused and insecure, getting into bad relationships and bad friendships.

You guys are inspiring me that a breakup/divorce does not mean you have to end the relationship. It can morph into something different that both parties need. I have just been through a breakup and it feels right for now as well to continue hanging out. I get the same comments from people “why are you still hanging out” “you should make it a clean break” but I take pride in trying something different . Stay strong. 💪
Janni and Jon I think it is absolutely fantastic that you can be together with your children. I think it was truly the best decision moving back to Sweden it suits you both. I think you guys are inspiring, especially considering for how normal it is (I can speak for the US specifically) for divorced families to not have a friendly, coparenting situation.
