Hi! Thanks for posting! This model was not designed for easy cleaning! May I suggest that you instead use the rubber covered handles of the tongs for impeding the knives when turning wing nut. It will save fingers and blades!
Do you have a trick to how to remove the blades when the bearing is broken? I cannot screw it off conventionally because the blades spin freely because of the broken bearing..
We have tried several different ways. If you have the tools, you may be able to bend the blades. If you have a Dremel or other small wheel cutter you should be able to cut the nut enough to break it off with a pair of pliers.
@@KapartsCoUk Thanks for the help - I found my best solution was to crack off the plastic ring so the whole blade including housing went through the jar.
@@oxholm8 I am glad you got it out. In the past we have also held the plastic of the blade in the jaws of a vice and used a hacksaw to cut through the blade unit.
Do you know how to remove it from this version of Blender: www.kitchenaid.com/countertop-appliances/blenders/accessories/p.vaso-para-licuadora-diamond-kitchenaid.ksb68dmd.html thanks
I am very thankfull for this instruction.

Hi Jan,
What a lovely idea, thank you for sharing this with us!
Kind regards,

Why wouldn't you take it out of the glass first??
