I've been in the middle colonies cities for all my lifetime it seems & then into suburbs, gated community and whatnot so it's a great pace to things & now fresh out my 20's in Milwaukee Wisconsin they'd allow almost all my student studies for zones purchasing but greatness video uploaded thanks

I think he meant that the Dutch did not have any ships or troops in the area for defence. In fact, New Amsterdam was never high on the priority list in the Netherlands. Besides that, the all powerful Dutch navy was really busy defending the homeland against the English in the disaster year 1672. When the Dutch Republich was simultaneously attacked by France, England, and two German states. So, I think the assessment in the video is correct.
