Silly, silly first pitstop. Whenever the engineer comes on the radio with another strategy, I always take it. Always. He's been run by the game, and the game knows when it's gonna rain. Even if your dry tyres are almost exploding, don't forget the cold track helps slow degradation down.
engineer sometimes has stupid thins, and it glitches a hell of a lot. half the time it asks you to change, and both chooses are the same.

dutch clasher Agreed, he's definitely flawed. And usually in dry weather, I stick with the strategy I have, because I'm not sure I can trust him. But (and this is the point I'm trying to make), 99% of the time he's right when it comes to wet weather and the tyres that go with that. He will give you a strategy change, before the message 'DRS disabled' appears. And that's the lap you really should be on wet weather tyres.

You could've easily pitted on lap 12 for inters
If you wanted to do the tyre glitch you should have started on medium tyre
NeverFear AThing If you start on the hardest tyre then the rest of the tyre compounds last longer laps in terms of tyre wear
NeverFear AThing if you start on the softest tyre compound youll have much more tyre wear for every other tyre compound than if you start on a harder one.an exemple
-you start on ultra soft and switch to super soft the ss last 6 laps
-you start on ss anf switch to ss again and they last 10 laps
The doesn't necessary have to be a glitch, but simple physic: if you drive longer, your car gets lighter, so when you switch tyres, they will effectively last longer
Lorenzo Pappatico no its a glitch cause you change to the same tires on your first stop and have more tyre wear when you start on the softest tyre compound on your 2nd stint
Ive actually seen someeone testing it by starting a race then pitting on at the end of the first lap for all 3 tyre starts and even stopping the same time, starting on the softer tyres increases tyre wear (with the exception of starting on the hard tyre, for some reason)
And despite Riccardo's win and Daly's sliding overtake, driver of the day has to be Max Verstappen.
Ben, its times like this you shouldn't battle your team mate if you weren't even going onto inters and he was visibly faster and could've won the race if you didn't battle him so much.

If the entirety of the race was run in dry conditions he should have let Hamilton go. They won't win constructors this season thanks to Red Bull.

and these times somehow are always slower
Formula Thomas that is a glitch because when you knock out in Q2, Q3 will simulated and the reason why lewis got pole was because the mercedes is the fastest car at the beginning in the career.
what means Q3 is like an Q3 at season 1 and the pace of the cars as well

What I'm going to do is not make it into Q3 on purpose. Totally works every time. I would rather start 11th as opposed to 10th. Starting on the softest tire is a massive disadvantage.And Hamilton starts on pole. Brilliant.

In terms of the tyre wear glitch, it really works, but you also could have run on the softs in Q2 trying to get into Q3. You're starting on a harder compound anyways so youre still 'using' the tyre wear glitch

You should have put inters on. I did that during Hungary and started raining half a lap later. Managed to win as well due to the leader spinning and then the new leader engine failure before they pitted!

What glitch that was? If you dont make into Q1 you can select your tires
Henrix98 when youre Outside of the top ten you can select your tyres for the race
and the Glitch is when you then start in the hardest tyres , the softer ones last longer too

Amateur. In F1 05, I entered the second chicane in Monza backwards and came out facing the right way, two positions up.
(I lost control, span round and was lucky enough to be flipped the right way, but that doesn't matter)

I was playing career mode and I was playing as toro rosso in the Russian Grand Prix. I started the race at the back because I crashed. In the first turn a dauber was taken out into a wall and i crashed into him and he flew into space.

I've heard a lot about this tyre wear glitch, what does it actually do?
Michael 64 if u start on a harder compound (eg softs) and switch to super softs the tyre wear for that set would be better than it would if u started on the super softs. So basically the tyre wear is less

Rory Martin that tire probably wears less because you have less fuel in the car so the car is lighter which improves tire wear
Nürburgring is way better, new Hockenheim is just like a kart track and in a very boring location too.

To be fair you took away win for Hamilton. He was way ahead of Red Bulls after pit stop, but you started fighting him, slowed him down and Red Bulls catched him.
I also think you directly cost Hamilton the race by holding him up massively when you could have let him go and use his slip stream and save ur tyres longer instead of fighting with him... even if he puts ahead of you

I mean you have to put on Inters there, even if they are 5-6 seconds slower for a lap or 2, wasting 20+ seconds on an extra pit stop is not worth it.
