I’m curious to see how you think this compares to an Incra 5000 miter sled. Also curious to see whether you think this completely removes the need for a cross cut sled for most 90 degree cuts.

I have an Incra miter gauge, but not their sled, and generally like Incra brand very much. The Exact 90 is big and accurate, so it's great for making cuts of all size. It hasn't replaced a crosscut sled for me though. I still have two in the shop, one with a single rail, and one with double rails ruclips.net/video/zZrYGXNULnE/видео.html thanks

I guess woodpeckers could piggy back another fence on that that's hinged on one corner and have an adjustable miter that's also fixed at 90 when you take it off

I guess that might work. I've been enjoying the simplicity of a big sturdy miter gauge that's fixed at 90 degrees.

I’m disappointed in this miter gauge when compared to the Henry M 36.

Tell me your experience. Have you had both brands, or just from what you gather in reviews etc?

I use a radial arm saw for crosscuts at 90 degrees. Miter, to me is a planned cut t other than 90 degrees, I.e. picture frames, crown molding, etc. even though this had some good features, the killer is only 90 degrees. I would not buy a miter gauge that only made one cut. My Henry TS came with the MG 36, my 1972 Shopsmith has an adjustable miter gauge. If I really need an exact angle, between Aspire and my Legacy Maverick 3x5 ATC CNC, I can get exact, repeatable cuts. Thus my disappointment with the Woodpecker miter gauge - the make outstanding measuring tools.

@@unclebob8746 and your MG 36 has “play” issues at every detente.
Also, the degree arrow is way to far from the scale to get an accurate angle reading.

@herbb8412. MY MG36 has NO play in the detects. Also I have no issues with the degree arrow on my miter gauge. Maybe your MG36 is much older than mine…. I’ve been woodworking for over 60 years and have used a wide variety of miter gauges. I’m very happy with the accuracy, quality, and results I get with my MG 36.
Better to keep you mouth closed and be thought a fool , than to open it and remove all doubt. I just stated my opinion, based on my experience. I did not ask anyone to agree.

@@unclebob8746 This exact 90 is far quicker and more accurate than any radial arm saw that I've used for cutting 90.
And the MG36 I owned had some slop in the miter detents. I dont know if it was just mine or poor manufacturing.
