- Here's our trip to the unique and inspiring Guadix cave dwelling community just outside Granada, Spain. This community is so special. We were more than thrilled to leave the crowds and the expensive cafes and transportation in order to enjoy the quaintness of such a place as Guadix.

My maternal family come from there, I remember as a little kid going once to visit a relative living in a house inside the cave. Thanks for the video :-)

As I crossed the city two years ago, I wished I stayed longer to ask people directly about the cave dwellings, because they are great against the heat and warm in the winter. Living in a cave is the best humans can do - it´s pure nature .

Every so often, suddenly I get many viewers on this video. Is there an annual event in Guadix that attracts viewers?
Yes, on Septenber 9, Cascamorras is the local event, if you want, you can searching on google
wow gaudix looks amazing. I am visiting next friday when i visit granada and was wondering is the cave part of the town (where the restraunt was) very far from the church in the town centre. Also how much was the train you took and do you have to book it in advance, thanks.
The train was very cheap. I don't remember exactly, but at that time I think it was something like 2 euros.
Needed a bus from Grenada of course. But the caves are not far from the bus stop. You could walk it if you're in moderate health and the weather isn't too harsh.
