It's just so awesome to see all the deep connections within the lore. Thanks a lot you are doing a great job at it. But I think things like Glints eggs and "death" can be excused to it being 11-13 years ago (depending when they came up with it) since they surely didn't plan things that early so I find the speculation about this a little obsolete. The EotN mission on the other hand may be very intentional since, as you surely know, eotn was just put in place instead of Utopia which many people believe to have shared a lot with HoT from concept art etc so that may have been a very long planned thing.
To be fair, during the backstory of the Sylvari, it is implied that the Pale Tree was spawned from a room of "seeds" which to Mordremoth could pass as eggs. So there's no telling whether a Dragon needs a mate or not, the Elder Dragons could be Asexual and Glint (since she was hiding away) could have taken Kralk's eggs and hid them.
She already told us that her name is Aurene, so I guess she knows the language. But her knowledge is a mystery for sure :) She is still too young and looks too cute for me to think she is that wise :)

And that this fact will come into play in the story as a risk; when the good races of tyria want to purposly feed alot of magic to Aurene to let it grow faster and become stronger (with the intention to eventually become strong enough to battle the other elder dragons).
hmm this has got me wondering about Malyck and his connection to all this and could gleem somehow be in cantha or somewhere else, hiding until Aurene is old enough to fight along side of(or mate with?)
First, Kasmeer has a line in the living world chapter "Hidden Arcana" where she confirms that Glint at some point had to protect her eggs from Humans. This came to my mind too. What if female dragons don't need male to lay an egg, and the egg just needs tons of magic to hatch. We killed 2 elder dragons after all, there is a lot of magic free magic in the world. It actually makes sense even from biological point of view - most species won't reproduce if there is not enough food around.
Also, a bit offtopic but remember the mysterious blue orb used by the pact to ward off zhaitan's corruption? Wouldn't it be cool if that would also hatch? xD (I know, maybe 2 or 3 baby dragons would be too much)
Eggs are laid - then some become fertilized by males (or magic as previously suggested). Other than balut, others are cracked open and fried for breakfast... just sayin...
Here is another theory: The voice that we heared while the master of peace recieved the egg did remidn me another race that might have something to do with glint and her legacy: the seers. Wouldn't that make some kind of sense? The seers were aligned with the dwars and the forgotten, like glint they are prophetic (hence the name) and thus capable of manufacuring such a chain of events. The seers appearing in the story right about now would also make sense in a lot of other ways: They were the creators of the bloodstone and we are obviously dealing a lot with bloodstones in Season 3, they were also the most prominent foes of the mursaat - and guess what; with lazarus finally a mursaat has shown up again. I guess we'll see and find out - but it's great to have another guildwars(2)mystery!
I think Gleam the first scion is in the Shiverpeaks with Braham Eirsson . He brought Eir's body to its final resting place . Gleam's lair. Eir is E obviously. the voice that spoke to us from E was Gleam speaking through her. Although E is usually referred to as male, Kasmeer Meade has pointed out that we do not actually know if this is the case, or even if E is a single person. E "I'd intervene myself, but circumstances prevent it." She new about Gleam and his existence. She swore and oath to Gleam to keep his presence secret. She new about Glints other egg Aurene the second scion. Her final will was shown to Braham , from Gleam in a telepathic vision. Braham has picked up his mother's bow and in becoming the first Dragon Hunter. Gleam has told Braham that Jormag is active. This is all speculations and conjecture. I quoted from the Guild Wars 2 wiki about E. I just love the living story is finally back. I can't wait to see where Arenanet really goes with the living story. So far it has been wonderful to have all this new content to play through and discuss. Thank you WP for bring together the story of Glint, Gleam , Aurene and E for us. Keep up the mystery solving , proposing and speculation
So 'E' is a mind-melded dragon champion of Gleam? I'm surprisingly okay with this angle. Would help explain away some of the Mary-Sue-ness of 'E' that we've had thus far; having a dragon prophet in your corner, and a possible longer lifespan because of it is a pretty reasonable explanation for heightened ability/training.
Alright, I messaged you in GW2 about the vision in your Eternal Alchemy video showing white magic surrounded by the various magic types. After I sent that I started looking up Scarlet notes about her experience with the Eternal Alchemy which led me to the Durmand Priory library, which led me to a book titled "Varajar Fells Notebook" which says: "Human gods, Charr gods, Norn animal totems - they are part of the all-encompassing Eternal Alchemy." Interested me a little bit to hear that the eternal alchemy encompasses all of the races primary religious factions. Anyways, the wiki page for the book led me to a character from GW1 named Kerrsh. Kerrsh, according to the wiki, is suspected to be the author of Varajar Fells Notebook who in GW1 went on a quest with the player character called "The Path to Revelations". During the quest Kerrsh is rewarded by a god with a message which reads: "An offering to those who seek""Beyond the mists beyond the dreams""On distant shores of a land unwaking""Answers there lie in waiting" Kerrsh is frustrated that he's left with another mystery but acknowledges that "there is meaning behind these words" and puts pretty significant importance on them. Apparently, according to the wiki, during the sylvari story one of the sylvari mentions a cypher that was given to Kerrsh which reads: "A distant shore.. And Darkness""A root. A Cave. You.""You are the seed. What Ronan knew and never told still lingers in the Dream."
Perhaps what Ronan knew and never told lies in the cave where he found the first seed that eventually grew into the Pale Tree? Maybe the land unwaking on distant shores is where that cave is found? Man, I'm finding the GW lore so interesting now that so many initially appearing unrelated stories and events are starting to tie in together. I was on the boat that found the GW lore significantly lacking during GW2 infancy (having powered through GW1 for HoM rewards only) however my opinion is dramatically changing with the evolution of the Living World. Your mystery series is often what sparks interest for me. Thanks, WP.
This theory makes so much sense and it makes me so hyped up beyond belief. I wanna reunite Aurene with her brother ;O; I dunno, I just think Gleam will be a guy.
maybe it's like bees. there is one nuptial flight and thats it? and to get dragons of dicferent strenght at the end you change how much food (i.e. magic) they get.
Gleam is also the name of Zephyrite geode vendors. While this could be just cross naming, but for a group dedicated to Glint naming their child the name of Glint's child sounds off. Gleam may(though Mesmer magic or other means) taken human form to live with, hide and possibly teach the Zephyrs.
13:40 Has me questioning if Kralkatorrik is truly evil. Perhaps he is still trying to fight the bloodstone corruption? The first scion theory does seem more probable though.
The whole 'magic being like a light spectrum' actually makes the old glint's lair mission have some extra ideas to it (whether they intended this or not). There seems to be some sort of colour coding going on with the different magics. Maybe theres a connection between each room in that mission being a layer of magic? Which also in turn each room seems to relate to an original GW1 proffesion (class). I admit the old Eternal alchemy (shown on the original bloodstones) symbol probably didnt have proper lore behind it but it does fit quite well with what we now saw in Omadd's machine. Each orb on the machine is a different magic layer. What if each proffesion in the original game was linked to one of these? However, i think they tied more of this to the gods in the original game. There may even be some connection to the ley Anomolies being different colours that we are starting to see phase into the world... who know... Im just spouting random nonsense but if it triggers anything, then awesome =]
When you talk about who gave the egg to the Zephyrites and the voice that speaks when he hands the egg over, it kind of sounds like Lazarus. At least to me haha
At this point, I'm pretty sold that E is Gleam, and is the one who granted the egg to the Master of Peace. Like, maybe it's kind of a simple answer at this point, but I think it would be very reasonable when trying to connect all of these dots.
For what we've seen in other corrupted creatures, they can spawn more without the need for sexual reproduction. Risen fish heads, branded devourers, destroyer crabs, mordrem trees, icebrood icicles... all spawn more dragon minions, sometimes as new ones, some as replicas. Glint's mind was freed, but she's still a crystal creature, still branded at least partially. And so she still has the same ability as branded devourers to just pop eggs that quickly produce more branded. Aurene's hatching shows she didn't just 'hatch' from the egg, she recrystallized from the egg.
To add my bit I believe (and hope) Aurine doesn't have father. It is at least a possibility. You don't necessarily have to have two to produce an egg. The most common example could be chickens. (Even though it feels really silly to compare Glint to a chicken.) In most cases you need a father to produce an offspring, but not always. Partenogenesis can occur at several species of lizards and at least one snake that I am aware of. One of the species are Comodo dragons. (And I feel slightly better comparing dragon to Comodo dragon :D ) That was just to clarify. Now given the fact that Dragons are so rare we know only about two of them, both female (I don't consider the elder ones so different from Glint and Kuunavang) It would make perfect sense for them to be facultative parthenogenetic. also, there were many eggs in the glint's lair and we basically know only about two of them. So what happened to the others? At one point in game, we were able to acquire accessories called Eggs of the Crystal Queen with description hinting that those are "undeveloped" and were found in her lair. That could hint on many things. The egg itself may be undeveloped and not "working" properly or just lacks extensive amounts of ley line magic to develop.. Either way, an egg totally requires special care to hatch. If that "care" means mainly to find a mate remains a question. But I believe if that was true, they would choose the wording differently. I'd rather support the role of magic in her hatching because of her looks and the types of magic released after deaths of elder dragons. Anyway, I'd totally love the idea of Aurine being a really young and cute clone of Glint more than adding a mysterious male dragon escaping any sight for centuries. (Even if Aurine apparently has some deviations from glint.) Those deviations can of course be also caused by her possible father instead of absorbed magic! But this may be too off the plot :) Also, I don't like the idea of her directly confronting elder dragons in the end like Glint did. Regardless of how cool the idea of riding Aurine to the battle sounds, I believe she can help us way more by other means. glint managed to hide an entire race from elder dragons! (do I remember that right?)
Generally in fantasy such as Dungeons & Dragons, the dragons aren't reproducing with mates. Instead the dragon lays eggs and the eggs need energy to hatch. The energy can be emotions, such as hate, or it can be magic and other things like that. Often they work as a phylactery of sorts in that when the dragon dies, she can be reborn from the egg. But they also seem to give birth to new dragons. But, being fantasy, that's of course up to the writer and how they want to write the story.
RE: Master of Peace and the egg. An interesting thought...If they recieved the egg during their venture to retrieve Glints body, why did they wait a year before taking it to the Exhaulted? Instead, it seems that perhaps either the Zephyrites made a second trip to the crystal desert to get the egg during LW2, or else they got it somewhere else. I think this more likely which raises the question....not just who gave it to them, but where?
My personal hope is that Gleam flew south to Elona, activated an Exalted city due to proximity, and has been hiding there. Specifically because it would explain Kralkatorrik continuing south.
I assumed the 300 thing was just rounding up for effect. It sounds better to say that after the "three thousand" than to then follow up with "two hundred fifty".
Our Hero from the first game could very well have mind linked with Gleam since he/she protected Gleam as a child and could be still doing what Gleam wants as a Mists spirit
I sure hope that it's gleam that will do most of the fighting for us, not aurene. It doesn't make sense to me that a baby dragon can grow up quickly. That, to me, should take hundreds of years before aurene is even close to glints size. Meanwhile a fully grown gleam could make for an epic set piece.
This is really interesting to watch now that we do know the fate of Vlast. And I also realized that they never explicitly said that it was Vlast who gave the master of peace Aurene's egg. So it's still possible for there to be a mystery character out there. Most likely "E." But, we also haven't heard anything from "E" since Lake Doric, so is it possible that Vlast was "E?"
if we are speaking of Dragons from GW1 with a uncertain fate since then, we should not forget about Kuunavang and maybe even more so "Shiny". the little hatchling saltspray dragon who sees Goren as "mommy" and is hiding in the Hidden city of Ahdashim in elona. Gleam, Aurene, Kuunavang, Shiny - 4 presumably friendly dragons that may be able to take an elder dragons place might already exist. throw in Stubbles (or steve/bubbles if you prefer one of those names) who we not know if it will be just as destructive as the other elder dragons or maybe more aligned with the sentient races and we reach 5 potential friendly elder dragons taking their share of the worlds magic each to keep it balanced. while it is not the same number of elder dragons as before, if we compare the situation of the human gods wo might have taken a similar role - they too exiled one from their ranks and were able to manage everything with 5 instead of 6 for a long time.
Would you consider Gleam to be E as a possibility. It actually works quite well with the prosthetics and the E sound could also be a part of the Obfuscation.
Ah true... Hmmm... I had forgotten about that, then again, maybe the writers have too ;) :P Or maybe it will go down the route of Gleam having incredible mesmer powers and that is how they have hidden from the other elder dragons and from detection all of these years. (highly unlikely btw, not actually believing my wild theories :P )
I've always wondered about Gleam. Honestly the only conclusion I could come up with was that Gleam is the Shatterer; recorrupted. Unless anet pulls something new out of their ass, I'll just stick with this.
I'm kinda late to the party, but I've been replaying LS2 and I found a part where Gleam's existance is acknowledged. It's easily misable, because it's an optional dialogue you get after finishing instance. It's in "Return to Camp Resolve". If you go talk to Eir after you finish the obligatory conversations you will have a discussion with her about Gleam. It doesn't really contribute much, because Eir's not even sure if he existed (if he did it's said that humans saved him during the events of GW1), but it's at least confirmed that there are legends about his existance. So he's a confirmed part of GW2 lore.
No disrespect to Gleam but there is one more dragon that one that it could be .... many forget about the dragon egg that we the player characters helped find a protected home in Elona. The Dragon Shiny that is protected and raised by the Djinn of the hidden city of Ahdashim
WP you assume that Aurene is the one sending us visions. personally I am inclined to think that they are from Gleam. to me the dragon in hiding makes more sense than an unborn egg given that Aurene didn't give any form of communication when she emerged. if she could touch our mind already wouldn't you expect some greeting even if it was without words?
What if Mordremoth is Aurene's father? Since his magic is what it took to hatch her after a while. EDIT: The eggs were created by Glint on her own. When she has alot of magic inside of her, it releases out and it becomes a dragon egg. Thats how I see it happen.
That's the going theory when mordy died, it's jungle magic scattered and was deposited with the other dragons it makes no sense to have any feature of zhaitan, as even with the death magic around, it would have spread out evenly among the dragons, not ever being the more prominant feature of them let's say mordy was 90% jungle magic and 10% death as an example
Well, Glint doesn't need a male to lay an egg, and the egg hatched because it was "fertilized" with magic, so there could very well be no other dragon involved with the egg
Ok , I just though about this if you as a revy can channel glint why not just ask her about where her kid is? I mean Rytlock should be able to ask her right right right?
Not really, a Revenant taps into the powers of the Heroes of old, possibly linking from past times through the Mists. I don't think they can communicate with them in such a way that they can ask them things.
WoodenPotatoes Hey WP, so I just had this idea and to be honest I'm not even sure how I feel about it so don't hate on me too much haha What do you think about the possibility that the elder dragons all come from some super entity essentially being its lieutenants and that killing them all with awake this crazy strong power? It was just the quote you read at 4:30 about them not being controlled by any "known" power. Thanks PS apologies if this is already a proposed theory
**Possible spoilers for Rising Flames** It's not like it'd be possible for it to have been lazarus that gave the egg to the master of peace? In some kind of round-about way where lazarus was never really "revived" as much as he was revitalized. He gave it on to someone else because he couldn't protect it himself at the time? Maybe Lazarus knows what happened to Gleam...
I just had the weirdest thought! Okay hear me out : We know 100% certain someone stayed in Glints lair after her death. That someone being an Asura who was remarkably talented with controling minds. I'm talking about Snaff! There are rumours that Snaff is still somewhat "alive" in the crystal dragons mind, so what if some remnant of Snaff still lingers in the lair and gave Aurenes egg to the Master of Peace? Probably just a bonkers idea my mind came up with after rereading Edge of Destiny. Still, WP, what do you think are the chances we'll see Snaff ingame? Would be awesome if you could answer this in a QnA or just give your thoughts on the theory. I'd love to hear it!
I'm considering playing GW 2 and am wondering if the community is still active after all this time? I used to play GW1 a lot back in the day and was always interested in GW2 but never took the plunge. Are there any active guilds that you might recommend assuming the community is alive?
the community is still more than active, don't worry, I see new players everyday, it's doing well ! You should check the subdreddit, there are plenty of topics for new players there !
lol right on the end your and my theory was the same xD i think gleam is still alive some there and she will return maybe at the ending of this living world season story
well, PoF wrapped this up a bit, didnt it? not all the questions got explicit answers, but i dont think there are any more questions without likely ones.
Who else would listen to an audiobook read by WP??? It's better than most of what I've heard on audible
Very flattering, but I'm not sure you'd be able to handle the cringe of my mispronunciation of some obvious word every 2-3 pages! (Though seriously I'd love to do that)
I would in a heartbeat
+WoodenPotatoes didn't you have the channel concrete duck's where you would upload some shorts? loved listening to them, and hopefully you will pick it up again.
I'm going to have a big space on my calendar each week open up very soon, and that's the plan right now yes!
Would LOVE the books as an audiobook, read by you! Read them all, and would love to casually re-experience them, as you catch more of the little things the second time :>

Ah can't wait to see the epic moment when all hope is lost and Gleam comes in to the rescue
Gleam Ex Machina
Isn't that what Lazarus is for?
Well that literally happens finally!.. And sadly...
Best news of all ya bastards: No flute in the soundtrack!
Aww :(
Aawwww
Dare you!
Yay! No I mean awwh :(
She already told us that her name is Aurene, so I guess she knows the language. But her knowledge is a mystery for sure :) She is still too young and looks too cute for me to think she is that wise :)
i really hope we get a brother sister dynamic with gleam and aurene, that'd be soo sweet

I also really like your theories, it makes me like Guild wars 2 so much more knowing that there is so much story behind the game. Keep up the good work =)
I'd loved to, but money is an issue ^^'
To this day I still miss Cantha. Wish we could return to it one day in GW2 to see how much it has changed. It is even place that can use Gliding to travel because it is a large city full of layers of floors.
Finally some more WP mysteries! been waiting so long ^^
awsome video, got me real hyped up to play Gw2 again

Always live listening to the lore of GW, since I started playing GW2 when HOT came out. Thanks WP

out human volunteers who shared their reverence for Glint’s dream of
securing a peaceful future. After a rigorous set of tests and trials,
the most worthy of these volunteers underwent a ritual that converted

So, perhaps the "chosen" were not The Chosen {such as those sacrificed by the White Mantle} but were chosen to become the Exalted... its a long stretch but perhaps there were some who attacked Glint?
Did the voice sound... um... kinda like Lazarus?
Lazarus was dead from the end of Eye of the North, until the events of Bloodstone Fen.
Correct, but there is a possibility of other Mursaat having come out of the mists or having been hiding in Tyria, away from the humans and the Titans
Oh, sure. Just that Lazarus isn't a possibility, barring some really warped story.
Maybe Aurene was created through parthenogenesis (not to be confused with pathogenesis) and there is no father.
I've also been wondering what happened to Gleam. I'm REALLY hoping Gleam will play a role in the story sometime. It would be fascinating, and they have so much cool potential with that idea.
Loved it !!! I'm so glad you follow up on this !! Exccelent video
Anet should get you to do an audio book.

Let's hope if Gleam were to make a return soon in the living story, it is not on a cliff hanger moment.
Aureen, in a desperate cry for help, uttered her first words: "Oniichan Taskete~". A deafening roar is heard from afar, the ground shook and cracked beneath the dragon minions that surrounded Aureen. I don't think they need 2 dragons to reproduce? maybe raw magic is enough to hatch an egg? As for the dragons themselves -maybe all of them are the same race of magical creatures. And the reason we see variations of them is because they change depending on the magic they grow in? Take Aurene for instance, while she has some crystal structures, she looks different from her mom because she was exposed to mordremoth's magic (perhaps some of zhaitan's too plus genetics? xD). As for the elder dragons vs normal dragons maybe it's similar to humans/the human gods. When a god dies, if a human contains their power they can become gods.

Eggs are laid - then some become fertilized by males (or magic as previously suggested). Other than balut, others are cracked open and fried for breakfast... just sayin...
I meant - some eggs are laid unfertilized and may become fertile by magic as thenonamehere suggested...
Here is another theory:
The voice that we heared while the master of peace recieved the egg did remidn me another race that might have something to do with glint and her legacy: the seers.
What is the part you go to glints lair.
ohh ok no wonder ive never seen it i havnt gotten in to guildwars since HoT
Season 2 happened before HoT..
After I sent that I started looking up Scarlet notes about her experience with the Eternal Alchemy which led me to the Durmand Priory library, which led me to a book titled "Varajar Fells Notebook" which says:
"Human gods, Charr gods, Norn animal totems - they are part of the all-encompassing Eternal Alchemy."
Interested me a little bit to hear that the eternal alchemy encompasses all of the races primary religious factions. Anyways, the wiki page for the book led me to a character from GW1 named Kerrsh. Kerrsh, according to the wiki, is suspected to be the author of Varajar Fells Notebook who in GW1 went on a quest with the player character called "The Path to Revelations". During the quest Kerrsh is rewarded by a god with a message which reads:
"An offering to those who seek""Beyond the mists beyond the dreams""On distant shores of a land unwaking""Answers there lie in waiting"
Kerrsh is frustrated that he's left with another mystery but acknowledges that "there is meaning behind these words" and puts pretty significant importance on them.
Apparently, according to the wiki, during the sylvari story one of the sylvari mentions a cypher that was given to Kerrsh which reads:
"A distant shore..
Thanks, WP.
This theory makes so much sense and it makes me so hyped up beyond belief. I wanna reunite Aurene with her brother ;O;
I dunno, I just think Gleam will be a guy.
Not gonna lie, the voice in the egg chamber reminds me of Lazarus' voice. I can't think of how that would be possible, but it sounds like it.
God damn....I need WP's voice for Audiobook version of the Guild Wars book Trilogy
Make a petition or something for the publisher!
man that would be awesome. I loved the guild wars 2 lore series , especially the headmaster.
think we'll be heading to the crystal desert after the fire island chain story is finished?
anyone know what song WP uses for this video? is it from an OST?
I think its taimis theme from the season 3 ost (or taimis game)
I knew it sounded familiar. Damn, GW2 music is on point.
I'd like to know as well.
maybe it's like bees. there is one nuptial flight and thats it? and to get dragons of dicferent strenght at the end you change how much food (i.e. magic) they get.
Couldnt "E" be the person linked to gleam?
Gleam is also the name of Zephyrite geode vendors. While this could be just cross naming, but for a group dedicated to Glint naming their child the name of Glint's child sounds off. Gleam may(though Mesmer magic or other means) taken human form to live with, hide and possibly teach the Zephyrs.
That's interesting, because on the gw1 wiki page for Gleam, it's said he/she is a mesmer!
how old are the elder dragons anyway? and how did they come to be?
13:40 Has me questioning if Kralkatorrik is truly evil. Perhaps he is still trying to fight the bloodstone corruption? The first scion theory does seem more probable though.
Great video. Great analysis. Thanks!
Not gonna lie, I thought Glint would be bigger...
"250 years ago they had been protecting a different baby where it had been born. /skype noise/ "
Gleam was born in Skype, confirmed. 15:42
Whats the music thats playing in the background?
Maybe Glint could just reproduce because she was cleansed from corruption (and then alone)
At this point, I'm pretty sold that E is Gleam, and is the one who granted the egg to the Master of Peace. Like, maybe it's kind of a simple answer at this point, but I think it would be very reasonable when trying to connect all of these dots.
Aurene is soooo friggin cute! I really can't wait for more of Glint's legacy to unfold through her children :D
That voice giving the egg to the Master of Peace was Lazarus.
Lazarus was still dead at that time
For what we've seen in other corrupted creatures, they can spawn more without the need for sexual reproduction.
(And I feel slightly better comparing dragon to Comodo dragon :D )
That was just to clarify. But this may be too off the plot :)
Also, I don't like the idea of her directly confronting elder dragons in the end like Glint did.
What if it was /Gleam/ who gave the egg to the Zephyrites?
RE: Master of Peace and the egg. An interesting thought...If they recieved the egg during their venture to retrieve Glints body, why did they wait a year before taking it to the Exhaulted? Instead, it seems that perhaps either the Zephyrites made a second trip to the crystal desert to get the egg during LW2, or else they got it somewhere else. I think this more likely which raises the question....not just who gave it to them, but where?
at 11:51 where is he ? i never saw this ?!?!? or was this LW1?
Glint's lair. its season 2 story Episode "Echoes of the Past"
The character who gives the Master of Peace the egg sounds a lot like Kralkatorrik.
Why does the guy sounds like a char who gave the master the egg!?
Was Rytlock in the mists when this happened?
No he wasn't
Dat Timing Wp
if we are speaking of Dragons from GW1 with a uncertain fate since then, we should not forget about Kuunavang and maybe even more so "Shiny". the little hatchling saltspray dragon who sees Goren as "mommy" and is hiding in the Hidden city of Ahdashim in elona.
Couldn't be; Marjory is held hostage by E during her short story while she was still part of the Ministry Guard.
Ah true... Hmmm... I had forgotten about that, then again, maybe the writers have too ;) :P
Or maybe it will go down the route of Gleam having incredible mesmer powers and that is how they have hidden from the other elder dragons and from detection all of these years. (highly unlikely btw, not actually believing my wild theories :P )
Could Gleam by E?
I've always wondered about Gleam. Honestly the only conclusion I could come up with was that Gleam is the Shatterer; recorrupted. Unless anet pulls something new out of their ass, I'll just stick with this.
What if Gleam directed lazarus to aurene/the egg?
Awesome as always !
Maybe a bit of a stretch, but could the person giving the egg to the Master of Peace be Balthazar? He did know where to go when the egg hatched.
Maybe the one who handed over the egg was Kerrsh in a golem type suit.
I wondered how Glint bred, only to find out there's no answer. I wonder if the eggs are just clones.
asexual reproduction :3 ?
Yeah, I think the eggs were born through parthenogenesis.
They can't be clones, because Gleam was, supposedly, male.
Ty for all this type of vids WP.
Parthenogenesis does occur in real life so it's not obligatory that there's a male dragon involved anywhere.
Beata Ciesielska well you do keep Gleam safe in the first game with the help of the Dwarves
I think the one who gave the Master the egg was Gleam.
No disrespect to Gleam but there is one more dragon that one that it could be .... many forget about the dragon egg that we the player characters helped find a protected home in Elona. The Dragon Shiny that is protected and raised by the Djinn of the hidden city of Ahdashim
I always thought it was bad that all of the dragons are bad guys in gw2. I like Glint.
That demon child at 10:03 ... 😨
That's the going theory
when mordy died, it's jungle magic scattered and was deposited with the other dragons
it makes no sense to have any feature of zhaitan, as even with the death magic around, it would have spread out evenly among the dragons, not ever being the more prominant feature of them
let's say mordy was 90% jungle magic and 10% death as an example
thank god i never did the bonus mission, stealing a egg. i have a clean conscience :P
Well, Glint doesn't need a male to lay an egg, and the egg hatched because it was "fertilized" with magic, so there could very well be no other dragon involved with the egg
putting the subtitles on just in time to see Krallkatorrik become crap rethoric hahahaha XD
cant wait for aurene to tunr hostile and us having to cleanse her again somehow without killing her
Ok , I just though about this if you as a revy can channel glint why not just ask her about where her kid is? I mean Rytlock should be able to ask her right right right?
Not really, a Revenant taps into the powers of the Heroes of old, possibly linking from past times through the Mists. I don't think they can communicate with them in such a way that they can ask them things.
Rip Vlast he was a good big brother. :(
WoodenPotatoes Hey WP, so I just had this idea and to be honest I'm not even sure how I feel about it so don't hate on me too much haha What do you think about the possibility that the elder dragons all come from some super entity essentially being its lieutenants and that killing them all with awake this crazy strong power? It was just the quote you read at 4:30 about them not being controlled by any "known" power. Thanks
PS apologies if this is already a proposed theory
Can you upload somewhere just the audio of new vids? It would be 200% better !
Yes I can! There will be a video on my channel about this very soon!
**Possible spoilers for Rising Flames**
It's not like it'd be possible for it to have been lazarus that gave the egg to the master of peace?
13:20 maybe its the voice of "Gleam" the other hatched egg of glint maybe he or she survived i dont know is he or she xD
lol right on the end your and my theory was the same xD i think gleam is still alive some there and she will return maybe at the ending of this living world season story
or he xD
im not gonna lie, this video made me hyped as FUCK, ily WP
well, PoF wrapped this up a bit, didnt it? not all the questions got explicit answers, but i dont think there are any more questions without likely ones.
what if gleam is e
I was thinking that myself. glEAm, Mr. E... could very well be.
I still think Mr E or Mister-y is just a pun.
Do you think it might be possible that Glint is actually the MOTHER of ALL Dragons? Hence she continued to lay eggs while other dragons don't?
LAZARUS THE PAPA OF THE EGG
