As a total boating geek myself, these two videos plus the first two you did "Long Way Home" are comfortably in my top ten all time favourite videos. Thank you so much for sharing this adventure with us. I really really hope that we will be treated to more videos like this in the future. Is there any chance of us getting to see longer clips? Perhaps on a separate channel?
We are doing some more local films in SW England for MBY this year Richard, but next year have another big adventure planned... I like the idea of making maybe a documentary about the trips rather than these shorter clips. I'm looking into it Cheers
Hi John. Love the vids. There is something puzzling me for quite a while and it is the following. What happened with your previous boating mate? You didn't spend any words on it. For some reason the guy you teamed with in those previous tours/adventures made it much more interesting.
Ha! Good question! In the past 12 months Fionn and his wife have had their first baby and bought their first house. So for the present he has other commitments, though we still work full time together. In fact Fionn flew up and joined us for a week on this trip - his are all the drone shots and the shots of me and Mark together... I'll make sure to get him in shot on the next trip!
These virtual cruises are great. Could you throw up a few stats like speed V liters / hour you got and effective range please? It'd be nice to have real world figures to play with.
Thanks Colin. I find working out the MPG scary! So many factors affect it. And so often we are not straight-lining it but meandering so we can film. Princess supply a chart showing MPG at different revs and it really makes a difference... If you want to send me an e-mail I will send you my schedule of fuel purchases for the trip and can also let you have the Princess fuel consumption figures. john@sharkbayfilms.com
@1:45 Conversion: fuel is $4.05 USD per gallon.
Best videos on the channel by a mile
Coming from another boating Geek, thanks for posting. Love the videos

Another beautifully shot video. Have you a rough idea of the kind of n/mpg you are getting on your trip John?
