We have one single wild vervet monkey living in the trees on our compound. She watches over all chickens and gets really angry if she thinks they are in danger 🤣🤣🤣

Vervets are such beautiful monkeys, it's ashame they are considered pests! They do not deserve to be treated the way they are in South Africa specially with the camera. It was the farmer who moved into the Vervets habitat not the other way around

When i was in africa we had a male vervet monkey. He was best friends with one of our cats. He would always protect her or help her when she got stuck once. They always slept, ate, and hung out together. I guess monkeys just like cats.
First time we taught a gorilla sign language, she used it to ask for a kitten. There’s something about cats and primates… I think the little jerks hack into our parental instincts. They’re certainly more attractive than primates.
I find it strange calling the cats pets of the monkeys lol. They're both animals, looks more like a friendship than anything else.

All these different types of Monkeys seems to be so drawn to Cats. And secondly, they like dogs. I think everybody is drawn to those who come across as Secure and Kool, and that’s why Cats makes such popular friends to Monkeys, IMO!!
Happens all the time. Once animals gain trust of each other they bond. Cats n dogs are born rivals but they too can Love each other once trust is established. I Love dogs, cats n monkeys. ♥️ What is so amazing is how most animals are reluctant to trust humans. They seem to know that humans are the most dangerous animal species. 😊🐒🐈🐕💖

Horace is a healer
originally came to this video looking for cute clips of cats being friends with monkeys but horace's gradual friendship with the dogs is quite inspiring. i can't help but see through a human lens his resilience in the face of losing his arm, and his sweet and friendly nature motivating him to grow a connection there -- I wonder if maybe being cared for by a cat as a baby and taken care of by humans made him so open to these cross-species friendships.
Aww Horace’s story is very bittersweet and inspiring . Hope I spelled that name right.
Horace was dealt a poor hand 2 days in having lost his mom, but was rescued then he was tragically injured. But has become the most clever, sneaky and caring, loving compassionate monkey through it all. Horace is a wonderful and blessed monkey. Thank you to those that saved and cared/care for him. He is one of a kind.
