I needed this today....dealing with a bad bout of chronic pain. Sleep deprived and of course you can't forget the mental health side that goes along with it all. Watching these videos gives me hope, and always makes me smile and forget about the pain. Tnx for taking us along Abbie

Hi Abbie and thanks for another inspiring video ,I love watching your adventures and your never ending enthusiasm for the great outdoors . My plan was to start walking as often as possible on retirement as I was always too knackered from working but unfortunately I discovered I had developed a brain tumor that needed immediate attention , thankfully it was removed and I'm here I thank God for that but unfortunately it has left me disabled and as such struggle to walk full stop because of the damage to my cerebellum . So as such it put paid to all my plans . But!! Thankfully I found your videos and adventures to watch that we can all join you on and it has been a blessing in disguise to myself , alleviating dark moments and all the bad thoughts that go hand in hand with it ,so in a different way bless you you're helping me on my journey walking all the magnificent places that I'd planned to visit and walk as we can go along with you warts and all and it really does calm me down internally for the better which I will always be forever grateful . The one thing I can't experience and sorely miss are the wonderful smells of the countryside but I can imagine , thanks for it all Abbie 😊👍

Sometimes, sorry to say, I don’t watch for a while and then I do and I remember how lovely your videos are, full of interesting history bits and humanity…happy days back at you! Come to the Sierra! See the desert bloom! Walk amongst the redwoods! We’d love to have you visit…California.

I love exploring that part of Scotland. It's often overlooked by people when they visit Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. I totally agree with you. It's essential for people to get out to explore the natural world, but the arseholes who do the damage make it so much more difficult. It is heartbreaking.

Preaching to the choir here I think, regarding the litter. When I was in school, here in the U.S. they did a massive national campaign against roadside litter and it was fairly effective. It taught a whole generation. We need to do it again! It is possible to change how people behave but it takes a lot of effort and resources. Now on trails I try to always have a small bag with me to pick up things that backpackers drop inadvertently, because any of us might do it - a snack wrapper, lip balm, etc. Hey if you really want to see red squirrels, come to Alaska! You will have more than enough.

what got me -they'd bagged up a lot of their crap, so why not take it out with them? I'd have taken their chair, tho, they clearly don't want want it. I'm boggled at what they left.

Like I've said before, there should be an archive of your videos in chronological order kept for posterity; I'm not quite sure where they should be kept but they're a valuable record of what the human spirit can accomplish and endure.

Only discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago. Really enjoying your adventures, especially through the Lake District and Scotland. Have you ever hiked in Sweden? We've been to the High Coast, and it's beautiful. Watching your channel makes me think this is something you'd enjoy.

Hi Abbie. Another great video. Plenty boggy sections, typical Scotland. It's pronounced 'Venekar'😆 9 out of 10 times if there's a 'ch' in a place name it's pronounced the same as in loch x

Great to see these day walks. Bumped into you at Pitlochry car park back in 2021 when you were on cycling Britain trip and i was visiting back home from Seattle.! Btw, Loch Venachar pronunciation made me chuckle! The ch in venachar is pronounced the same way as the ch in loch with almost a silent r at the end. Im sure you wil get it if you try. Keep up the great content! Im attempting the Cape Wrath Trail this August!

Too many people want rights but not the responsibilities that go with them. Always amazed that they can carry full cans, bottles and the such to sites but can't manage the empties after. Very selfish.

Hi Abbie. You did a review of the Hiiker app sometime ago. Could you tell me if it had a facility where it warns you if you veer off course? Also is the direction indicator a little blue dot or a chevron which I prefer to be honest because it's clearer to see if you have dodgy eyesight. Thanks

If it wasn't for the ticks, that looked like a nice little forest to get a little lost in.
Litter louts don't need educating; they know what they're doing. They need removing from society. I resent paying for clearing up after them.

Fly campers (coined in Dartmoor NP after lockdown) are horrendous and give camping a bad name and leave a sour taste in the mouths of locals and nature-lovers alike. Glad to see the rangers were heading out to clear it up...but they shouldn't have to.
As far as your shoulder and back goes have you ever thought about fitting the pack/straps so it doesn't put any weight on your shoulder. I use my shoulder straps to keep my pack in place...they carry no weight; it's all on my hips

Abbie, One really lovely vlog this, totally agree to catch these real litter louts, then humiliate the elders, Under public vanderlisam, distoy their standing they had in the communitee, I feel a public whipping should, be considered, Paid by them that did the vanderlising. apart from that , Cheers Abbie, You sounded so churpy, good for you. How can it be acheived, I feel humilliation to be the answer. Safety is another area we do lack in Travel, soft verge, lanes where ther is little ,too no definition. Abbie your waring a dull mustard jacket, but hay, your ruck sack did this cover the dull mustard ! I use to cycle and in the the area of Dulverton, abright yellow t-shirt or fleece always warn When on the bike, or walking Enough from I, Classed as a firm Abbie follower, Cheers. Ps recon soft verge barrier fondations..
