I think that it's bullish for BTC that banks offer custodial service of BTC. it will be good for adoption. In the meantime there will be good apps build were we can pay as we want. Once they understand, their funds will have been growing with bitcoin and they can swap the fiat from the bank who is holding their BTC, into their own BTC in self custody. I would never advise anyone to allow a bank to custody my BTC.

If someone wanted to get into Bitcoin but was not sure about the process of self custody, this is good, giving them time to learn how to self custody. Once they understand, their funds will have been growing with bitcoin and they can swap the fiat from the bank who is holding their BTC, into their own BTC in self custody. I would never advise anyone to allow a bank to custody my BTC.
