Yes, absolutely Puerto Vallarta is touristy. It is a resort city after all ! But there is a huge backpacker and expat scene, so it isn't just filled with tourists....from Fort Worth, Texas.

Vayan a playas de Nayarit porque ahí si te sientes que andas en tus playas ya que las playas de Vallarta y la mayoría de restaurantes son para los gringos pero ve a estados unidos y has lo mismo y te corren a putazos
