When I was a little girl i stayed with my grandma most of the time, my mom was a single mom & had to work & support 3 kids. They were no can foods in my grandmas house, maybe some Campbell's soup or something.. everything came from the garden. There were apple, pear & pecan trees & grape vines too. They also had a little country store so dairy products, breed, pretty much everything but meats came from the store.. they did have bacon & sandwich meats. The was A grocery store run once a month for the the meats. We ate 3 good & healthy meals every day! Love your ideas, thanks for sharing! Our home is very primitive decor and I start with vintage school items and add apples throughout too. I try to get inside and out done before September as fall is my favorite season and seems so short compared to long hot humid summer. I love weathered gourds, pumpkins, sunflowers, cozy candles and small, cozy primitive lights and lanterns. Everything is so cozy and welcoming for fall❤

Hey Bestie!! I absolutely love the apples as a transition to all the Fall decor. I worked up on the mountain at one of Southern Californias most famous apple orchards. I worked in the farm kitchen and loved it. I also worked in the country store too and that was so fun as well. I am so grateful that you did this cuz that has given me inspiration to do some Apple decor as well. It will look great cuz I have blues and reds as my colors. Loved the cooking segment as well. Hi there Miss Jean. Leaks have a taste much like scallions but not quite as strong. The sauce taste a lot like a savory Alfredo. It’s so good! I’m going to try to make time to make shades for Halloween for the lamps and switch out the apples in the baskets with pumpkins. We’ll see if I get that done lol. The apple theme is amazing! I wish more crafters would do apple DIYs! I was raised in NY and every year my mom took us kids to the balloon festival and after that we went apple picking. Some of my greatest cherished memories as a kid. Now I live in SC and there’s no apple orchards here 😔I like pumpkin DIYS but everyone does the same thing every year.
