I bought the woflang GA420 and tired to upgrade the external microphone but it seems the connection is proprietary, the video is awesome but improving the sound is an issue for me. I tried 3 other microphones and several adaptors and got no sound from any of the attempts. I also had to buy the mounts I needed so the Go Pro defiantly has that on it but the price is a big deal.
What do you recommend for me, I want to use it for skiing. Just for myself and friends. Not on a pro level but the quality has to be good. What do you suggest?
Im thinking of the GoPro hero 9 or akaso brave 7 or the wolfang ga 420. Its my first time for an action cam and i need some advice! Which one do you recommend?
I like the GA420 ... loved the Hero 10 (which is very similar to the Hero 9), but after watching DJI Osmo Action 4 footage, I will probably never buy GoPro again because of the very bad night footage and probably only buy DJI Osmo Action 4. I have the Wolfang on my Ducati sports bike. Sound works fine when positioned on a more forward position so that it’s protected from wind behind the screen. I also tried it on a bit more rearward position on the tank and there I had a lot of buffeting/wind noise, even with “wind noise protection” enabled. So if you have a naked bike, it might not work so well. Also, as is pointed out in the video, the camera itself has a really annoying screw attachment instead of a regular GoPro bracket. There as small go pro mount adapter but as it’s screw on, it’s really difficult to mount it looking straight forward.. The water proof housing that is included with the camera has though, so I simply use that when mounted on my bike. I had issues with the app on my iPhone, but not sure if I did anything wrong.

I think the Iphone 11 has better video quality, but there's not a big difference I think and the advantage of the Walfang is that you have a separate camera which you can use even to record your phone screen and it is more robust and waterproof for heavy use so you don't have to worry about your camera in difficult situations and it has a tripod mount and of course maybe it's easier to transfer the footage if there's a problem with the iphone 11
@@reviewP On my YT channel I show my phone screen often e.g. to connect to security cameras (like here ruclips.net/video/t8dArOCQz9s/видео.html) and then of course I need a 2nd camera to record the phone. Maybe you don't already have a 2nd camera. It's always good as a YT'er to have 2 cams ;-))
Every video here of Wolfgang is terrible video quality on youtube and every go pro 10 is crisp quality. So is it on poor video quality upload problem or what? Cause you say that the video quality is the same. Are people then uploading bad quality here on youtube or is the video of ga 420 poor? Thanks
Depends on what you expect. If you want to make a PRO video then only the GoPro (or similar) works, but of course also the GoPro's have their problems and are a complete fail in low light anyway. The Wolfangs are not bad for personal usage .... especially the GA420, but it's not a GoPro ....
It's nice, but don't buy this as RUclipsr camera ... at least not for good quality stuff. You can shoot some fun videos maybe at best. Better buy a cheap smart phone like the Ulefone Note 16 Pro: amzn.to/3tSBxVg. This shoots ten times better videos .... ;-)))
This video convinced me. For its price, the Wofang delivers quality. And since I need two, perhaps three, it's a good budget pick.

I would not really recommend because it has some quality issues. Better go with a solid GoPro Hero Black 9 which is super cheap now: amzn.to/4azSAvU.

LOL ... yeah ... maybe as a quick view, but it's definitely not when you look closer. But the Wolfang is of course good for the price
How about 'wind noise' when going along on a motorcycle ?
Sorry never tried. The mic on the GA420 is quite muffled. Maybe even a positive good thing for a motorcycle ... lol
