My Fashion Photo PJ repro came with wonky eyes. I'm done with modern Barbies (at least the ones I have to order online). There is really no excuse for these expensive dolls coming with wonky eyes. Dollar store dolls don't even have this problem.
I think she’s gorgeous! I agree with you about Mattel’s lack of Quality Control. I wanted to mention that leaving metal earrings in a dolls ears over many years will create green around the ear. That happened to many of the early vintage Barbies.
IDK if creators decide where commercial breaks are, or even if they happen at same time for everybody, but the fact the first one hit right as you curled your lip when you opened box to see if she had wonkeye hit perfect to build the anticipation lol. Such a shame - I am such a fan of Barbies with shorter hair, so I would really love to have her, but no way I'm going to pay Mattel prices - or worse, reseller prices - for her. The fact that so many dolls are released around $30USD, get so in demand that resellers get double that, then later they show up at TJ/TK Maxx/ Marshall's/ Ollie's for $15-20 or worse, Dirt Cheap for $5-10 really burns me. I got that Tooth Fairy for maybe $20 USD a good while back and haven't unboxed her yet. She's another example of why I can't bring myself to spend a lot of money on dolls: I passionately wanted her, checked the stores every week for months to get her, bought her, showed her off to a friend, then stashed her in the closet and haven't really thought of her sense. I get caught up in the hype, enjoy the excitement of the hunt, and the actual dolls rarely live up to that thrill.
I got the tooth fairy doll @ Marshalls for $20 ..... Turned her into Gwen Stefani ❤ They give some of the signature dolls bad hair.... because they think we aren't going to unbox it . But we do🤦🏾♀️
I also found the Odile Holiday 2022 doll but at TjMaxx. Many of her dolls have a wonky right eye so you really just gotta get lucky. When I saw the promo photos for her last year I thought she was very pretty but when I saw photos of her in person, I couldn’t get past her wonky eye especially for the price. Although, the dolls being cheaper at different retailers recently really pulled me to buy her (and actually find her). She’s very pretty and I was lucky enough to find a rather semi-symmetrical one!
I just got the Oldie she's pretty but i actually think the Heidi Looks doll is the prettier redhead. I quite like the Tooth Fairy doll i got her because she was cheap and i didn’t have a doll in the Karl head mold. Also i"m a sucker for the color purple.
This is the reason why I choose buying in physical store more online might send with defects which is kinda upset special when I purchased a doll with more than $100

Having said that, any time I see your uploads I live for the eyecandy dolls in these shelves. I would really like to see all these amazing restyles you have done. Starting with the June girl back there (holiday 2021?) She is a stunner as you made her and as a holiday with that dress...hmmm, but restyled like this..WOW! The Angel barbies is not my cup of tea, this one is beautifull though because I love Tamika`s face mold. Although I have to agree that the eye looks a bit funny. Sometimes the camera might do that but you have her over there so you know better if she is. I like the color scheme of white/silver, red and a small touch of this tyrqouise in her wings.
I ordered 6 fashion photo PJ dolls (in the UK Mattel still has them available for purchase - they only sold out in the USA) and basically out of the 6 I could only 1 had no wonk eye. The rest got sent back. And no, I don’t regret buying 6, I was expecting them to be wonky.

To keep the Holiday Angel fresh, maybe Mattel could pull a page from the Victoria Secret Fashion show and change up the wings, kind of on the same lines as you mentioned with the animal wings. In regards to recouping some of your purchase, if you have any stockpile of Model Muse bodies that you are willing to sell, I am in interested collector always looking for bodies to rebody my collection :)
Hoping my holiday angel isn’t wonky. As for odile, I think what happened was that a lot of stores didn’t get them and the stores that did get them got most of the stock which they weren’t able to sell because of the over abundance of them. This happens a lot with toys that are exclusive to Walmart, especially mattel exclusives. Walmarts distribution isn’t the best, it’s actually quite atrocious. I know my area barely gets any of the Mattel exclusives.
I think it would be really cool if they had one of the holidays barbie collector be more inspired by krampus instead of santa, it would make said doll stand out so much more That id if they would never do one for monster high , because i can defiently see monster high do a krampus inspired collector doll

I Love her bracelets, halo and wings . i'd give the halo & wings to a male doll even though i'd have to drill holes into his back . I have a black haired #1 Barbie from 1959 and i know it wasn't intentional but her left eyebrow is a little higher than the right . Normally they are even. So, it looks like she is Questioning something she saw ? still she is worth every penny i paid for her . For the record after i bought her i have seen at least one other #1 Barbie with the 1 raised eyebrow.
I don’t think the eye looks that bad, but then again, I’m viewing it from a video and not seeing it in person. The hairstyle is very cute. I do wish the styling on the wings and halo had embroidery like the Mackie dolls from the 90s, instead of painted on.
The price of the new Mackie is what prevented me from buying it since you can get older Mackie dolls like Queen Of Hearts with so much more detail for under $100 now.

First off, I am obsessed with that packaging, BUT your suggestions for it, would have made it even better. Secondly, you are def right, her left eye is wonky. It's the iris. It seems to be kinda on top of her bottom eyeliner/lash line, as opposed to the right eye which is completely behind the bottom lash line as it should be...The right eye is beautiful...😒How do they not have better quality control than this? It's Mattel ffs. It's like a multi billion dollar company. Even regular dolls sold at the store, should have better quality control than this, but even more so a collector doll that u pay $100 for...Get ur shiit together Mattel. They need to send you a new one asap.

When I got the Billie Eilish doll, the eyes were whopping went to Best Buy and they swapped it out. Luckily when they ship me the second one it was good.😅
the doll is gorgeous though at usd100??? my its a bit pricy .. but still all worth it.. i always find real earrings from china which are small enough to suit the doll size image .. and its realistic when worn.....
i dont think saran on the tooth fairy would work. victoria's hair, though white, is still yellowish. i hear thats inherent in saran hair so she'll never have the white hair non-saran has. shouldve been playline. wouldve been great.
I do prefer integrity toys hands down because are dolls really worth it for the price. articulation good hair nice clothes beautiful faces. I dont want to buy more barbies unless is one that is really special like mariah carey or something like that I would never buy tamika for 100 dlls.
These dolls seem to be recycled designs of the Bob Mackie Porcelain Glamour Angles figurines from the 90's. Maybe not 100% Recycled, but def Not a completely new Idea. The dolls are still beautiful though! I really love the fact that they use the face molds they have been using, Still a bit overpriced in my opinion.
The tooth fairy took your tooth that a lot of times was painful so as a reward of all the pain you endured she would leave you coins. As the tooth fairy would keep your bad memory to give you a good one.
I see the eye but it not that bad. It definitely is wonky tho! This is why I skipped her. No way I will spend 100$ for a head...because I like you like to put them on mtm. I'm not very exited about the silver part of the dress. Also the silver part is gaping a little bit on her butt and she has nearly no butt. I love the red part tho. $100 is definitely too much. I could not really see the wonky eyes you are talking about. Maybe the doll's face was not close enough. I have a grudge against Mattel. It is becoming worse the more I look at some of my Monster High dolls with glue seepage. And Ever After High. I have even seen collector Barbie from this era with glue seepage. It just infuriates me. It infuriates me even more when I see the overpriced G3 monster High dolls in shops, and many are wonky too by the way. Well, I prefer minor wonk to glue seepage if given the choice! The evil leaking glue is the worst flaw I have ever seen on a doll. Wonky eyes have always been an issue with Mattel dolls. If it is minor, it does not bother me too much. If it is bad, it is disturbing. I have a Frankie doll with an eye on acid! I found her in a car boot sale but it is a rare doll. She has to wear glasses the poor thing! No other option! She does not have glue seepage lol. I guess we can't have everything! I don't think I will ever buy another Mattel product full price. I have 3 Barbie Extra and they are all thrifted. The Tooth Fairy is beautiful. I can't believe they did not give her good quality hair. I really like the Neon green Rainbow High doll by the way! 😉 🙂

You can get the older Mackie dolls for cheaper. I just did the quality is light years better than this one.
I had to explain this to my mom @ wonky eyes and terrible quality control. She couldn't figure out why I had the same doll lined up inspecting them.

Unfortunately they have left collectors no choice. I've had to reorder the same doll multiple times before until I got one that was acceptable.
