In terms of something that looks unique, I'm most interested in Nakwon: Last Paradise. Granted, from what we've seen in what's made clear to be early stage development footage, the gameplay itself doesn't look like anything new. But I've SERIOUSLY longed for a well made zombie survival horror sim that tonally channels the recent trend of Asian zombie media (Train to Busan, All of Us Are Dead, Kingdom, The Sadness, #Alive, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, etc.). Apart from environmental + cultural differences that help the settings feel different from your garden variety zombie games, the ghouls themselves (or infected, depending on the IP) boast their own flavor of terror in design and mechanics. There's something off-putting about the tropes commonly associated with how Asian zombies look, move, and swarm. Of course, there's obvious influence there from 28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead's remake, and the World War Z film. But the execution of their makeups (especially those Evil Dead-like glazed eyes), body language, and sound design hits different for me. The best comparison off the top of my head is how creepy Forbidden Siren's Shibito are. As a Westerner, I hope we get more zombie games (and general media) to enjoy different countries' depictions. The past few years alone have given me a wider, more layered appreciation for other cultures' portrayals & mythologies. As much as I'll always love the classic Romero-style undead that pioneered the modern zombie archetype, there's so much to see from Japan, South Korea, Thaiwan, and China among others. I'd love to see more of that marketed in the U.S. The only place I don't think I've seen any influential zombie media from yet is probably India? The Middle East doesn't have a large pool to draw from either, as far as I've seen (Feel free to recommend me something), but you never know.
Give me a zombie survival game thats NOT an mmo/pvp and I'll be happy. I don't mean survival horror like alien isolation, give me sons of the forest with zombies. Maybe in a post apocalyptic world like fallout. Also if someone could create the spiritual successor to red dead undead nightmare (with the camping and other gameplay mechanics of rdr2) since rockstar isn't interested in anything other than online services, i think such a game would make money hand over fist. Think undead nightmare is still my favorite zombie game of all time and it was a fucking dlc
yeah we REALLY need a good survival zombie game, that would be amazing, everything just wants to be DayZ or Rust these days, no casual zombie game where you can build bases and hide from zombies, i would really want a game like that
Most don't know, at least I've never seen it mentioned, that State of Decay almost certainly is based off a flash game, called Rebuild! I've never seen it confirmed but that's a flashgame I played for HOURS on end, it's super fun, a top down game where you see buildings and control a group of survivors and have them do different things like learn skills for building, shooting, etc, or send them to buildings to search for stuff, but some are more risky than others, so the risker ones you'll want more damage type people to go, etc. They took it and made it into a first person game with the same premise though, and I love the idea, but HATE the execution. The animations and look and feel of the game just don't work for me, it feels too cartoony and comical, I want a more serious feel for it.

I haven't played State of Decay in years so I'll need to check again, but they do have symbols for things, right? I'm pretty sure if I remember correctly the symbols used to represent things in the flash game are extremely similar if not exactly the same. It's not a bad thing by any means. I wish MORE games would be made based on Flash Games. But if nothing else, State of Decay is VERY much similar to Rebuild. It's what I always wanted, just not in a style I like sadly. I wish it was more realistic and not as cartoony, it feels like Fortnite in State of Decay, and I wanted it to feel more like Left 4 Dead or Last of Us (1, not 2). Warlords: Call To Arms is another game I wish they made a video game based on.

FlashPoint is a free program that let's you play Flashgames since Flash is no longer on browsers. You can download it for about 3 gigabites and then search for games you want to download and remove them at anytime as well. Rebuild 1 and 2 are amazing. You have to look for survivors, have enough home space / beds for your survivors, have enough food being produced or scavenged, find weapons to give them, and even manage their happiness. That all seems WAY too similar for it to be coincidence. But again, I don't find it bad to take inspiration from other games as long as you add / change enough to make it your own, which State of Decay did. I just wish it didn't look and feel like Fortnite and then it would be one of my favorite games all-time.

I played the Demo for Once Human and I couldn't get it to work with a controller cause I'm terrible at mouse and keyboard but I liked the game for what I played which wasn't that much maybe 2 hours. I don't care much for the PvP part of the game co-op PvE is more my style but I can't wait for No Room in Hell 2 which looks really good I love zombie games
a lot of these look great. being a lover of the first 2 state of decays i cant wait to play the third. also being a lover of the first stalker trilogy i also await the release of heart of chernobyl. great list apart from the fact that stalker is not a zombie game.

It will last you a long time. My oldest gaming laptop with heavy use I had lasted 7 years, still was good I just wanted a new gpu/cpu at that time. My curent one is going strong about 5 years old. Run most games on max settings at 1080p.

You also don’t have to buy a thing in 76 if you don’t want too smh. The added content is all free and available to everyone, oh and let’s not forget you can collect atoms to unlock stuff and not pay a dime. I also believe that 76 is on PlayStation network also. Which would nullify the free to play side of things.

I'm playing all these new games on nearly 7 year old hardware and still able to keep up with relative ease compared with the latest tech. Trust me, optimization on PC has come a LONG way. You can easily buy a PC like the one I'm using for under $500.

As of now, it still is. The "gaming" studio that did it is known for only doing animated horror shorts using Unreal Engine. Because of this, I highly doubt this will actually be made into an actual game.
In a world where just about every PVP game is swarmed by cheaters, I'd rather choose the PVE style.

I'm playing all these new games on nearly 7 year old hardware and still able to keep up with relative ease compared with the latest tech. Trust me, optimization on PC has come a LONG way. You can easily buy a PC like the one I'm using for under $500.
PC players deal it it too as from console exclusives or getting a game a lot later than console did because of contracts.

As of now, it still is. The "gaming" studio that did it is known for only doing animated horror shorts using Unreal Engine. Because of this, I highly doubt this will actually be made into an actual game.
