Nice to know the old mates though we never met or knew but the memories remain. I did not have my own residence but sharing with a friend who used to live in a single room. Our neighbours were Accountant of Sir Abdul Karim Nadiadwala, abandandoned wife of one music director name Tiwari or Tripati. I was single so involved with the Tenant Association and was close to Sir AKN who used to give some job to do for him(free). I left Malad in 1958, went to South Bombay in a student hostel because of my admission in Law College, Churchgate as Malad was too far. I migrated to the United Kingdom in early sixties and since then here.

Mumtaz Ali always drunk and since I used to come , last train at Malad. Walking down Daftari Road, take Mumtaz Ali to his house, I think it was a flat 32. I remember those days, celebrations Navratri festivity in the colony.
I was also in flat 27/28 of pushpa park, Daftary road, Malad (East), near residence of S.M. Sagar, Producer and Secretary of Shri Ashok Kumar.
Dilip kumar sb was himself a tragedy & comedy king while Mehmood sb was only comedy king. While Dilip sb used to work with comedian Mukri... so useless to say Dilip sb was afraid of Mehmood sb.
