I'm capeverdean and i'm proud of my country music, the best of all the world!!! All Capeverdean people are proud, and thanks you all from foreigners countries for your kind words :)
one of my favourite artists .... and yes if you can go to performance do so she s an impressive artist .... saw her few times here in rotterdam .... real stage animal
Excellent, Lura a fait la 1ere partie de Cesaria Evora à l' Olympia le 26 Novembre, un super moment. Je conseille vivement l achat du CD, du bon pour pas cher (15 €)
Hi groze! Sao Tome is in the Atlantic Ocean as well, but Lura is from Cape Verde. She(we from Cape Verde speak crioulo as well). But it have some diferences from place to place. Madagascar speaks crioulo, but it's difficult to understand each other. In Cape Verde alone for example you have 10 islands(9 inhabited) and each one have their own variations(but we are able to understand eachother) lol. For curiosity, Portuguese is the official language :) Stay in touch if you want to know more :)
ka podi dam pa besta ku esta mudjer.. abo e braba memu.. ta fixe ;) c'est trop pour les autres, ta voix lool.. es demais grande vox memu kontinua xempre axim.. xou grande fa memu.. lebanta bu catxola e sigui..
She´s from CABO VERDE islands, try to find some torrents if you´re not in the mood to buy it ....I have some of her stuff...check for Mayra Andrade and Nancy Vieira, another cape verdian singers, they´re amazing as well...greatings from Lisbon
Well, to those wandering what the meaning of the song is, you'll have to ask someone who understands Sao Tome's unique "crioulo"/creole language, a mix of portuguese and local ancient languages. I'm guessing you'll have quite a hard time trying to accomplish that, since very few people know Sao Tome's creole language...
