Live at 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁 in Cividale del Friuli during the 𝗔𝘃𝗼 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 (July, 2018). BGKO interprets traditional music of the Balkans, Gipsies, and Jewish of Eastern Europe with an original approach and great passion while constantly exploring their roots.

Our latest album 𝗔𝘃𝗼 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼 (2018) is the continuation of a journey that started two years ago with "𝗗𝗲𝗹 𝗘𝗯𝗿𝗼 𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗼". Plenty of concerts, places, people, musicians, and moments that still move us, gave birth to the songs on this album. Nearly all are traditional songs, interpreted throughout time, passed down through generations while never losing their power to evoke the deepest feelings of the human being. Today these songs rise again, touching us deep in our hearts and souls.

I am a Bulgarian, most of my life in Chicago ( the most Eastern European city in America... according to me). I dance (as amateur) Bulgarian and Balkan dances for quite a few years. This one is my favorite. and it's favorite of many people that know it. May be cause it's one of few 13/16, may be cause i can feel cosmos coming together or if i still beleived in God, he gave this horo to feel the life and energy
Most other hor(os/a) have song(s) and lyrics, this one only music...
I was sure(?) this can't have a song, nor lyrics, and can't get any better... so i went to God, i mean here, and i find this...
Sandra, her husband, a Serbian, a French, and the rest perfect players proved me wrong!
It's been few weeks and I can't stop listening and watching you (everything you have on youtube)

this is not a gypsy dance, so dancing like this is tacky and not appropriate to this music. rhythmically and stylistically also off. This is an authors piece on traditional Bulgarian.folk tune, not a Bulgarian gypsy tune. i do not like how traditional Balkan music have been hijacked by gypsy music and presented to the world as The Balkan music, whose tbousans of years of traditions are ignore. Basically Balkan music is now only gypsy music..regardless of whether it is on.. Personally I love gypsy music in all its genres and some of the best folk musicians in the Balkans are of gypsy origin but the genres of Balkam folk music and gypsy music are completely different with different traditions, sounds, rhythms, styles. you can see the performances of such musicians and also when you talk to them (I suggest to compare Ibro Lolovs traditional folk tunes which he composed vs. his performances of traditional gypsy music-all mind blowing.. unfortunately most Western musicians do not get this difference at all. for me the word gypsy is also not offensive either. the Roma are a small part of the diverse gypsy community.

@@mladenpavlovic7845 no it is not. this is Bulgarian music from THRACE. the author is the great Bulgarian clarinetist Petko Radev。 You do not have such rhythms in Sumadian. Tired of Sumadians claimimg everything Bulgarian, including the Bulgarian language and folklore
