Why don't the screens work? Direct from the dev "Unfortunately, there is a blockade by Microsoft on non-Marketplace packages that use XML interaction codes in add-ons in the community folder in MSFS 2024. This has been reported as a product blocking bug and they are working on it. I am waiting for a solution from their side for this as well"
That's because they upgraded buyoancy and wake effects, so our float planes would behave a little bit more realistic. And by doing that they surely openned a can for more realistic ship addons, which I'm really excited to see. Maybe in a year or two. Combined with improved ground, mooring in some cozy bays should be a fun experience.
If I was Microsoft I would have a Ship/Sail simulation crew and a rail simulation crew. Have them all play on the same servers so all three worlds will seem alive. I would have a full sim ecosystem.
@shlomojacobs-velde3838 and that means theoretically you could have vacations in game. Take a car to the airport to catch a flight to a port city then get a taxi to the port to get on a cruise
The buggy, if you drive it on the roads (and stay away from trees that spawn in the roads), they are much flatter than in 2020. There's a town about 30 minutes from me, i started driving there and could have gone the whole way if i wanted. it was amazing.
The Pilot boat looked good, the tanker seemed a bit light and too responsive for how big they are. It is odd there aren't more boat or sailing sims since its pretty much the oldest form of transportation.
It was always my dream that they put other modes of transport in. Like trains (this was the plan of Train Simulator 2 also to do a FSX like Trainsim before MS killed MSFS and Train Simulator) But imagine a multiplayer experience when people flying, boating, riding trains, riding trucks and cars. But one can only dream.
Love to see ships inside MSFS2024 and bringing your community to Aotearoa, New Zealand and in Tāmaki-Makaurau, Auckland. I love it when you visit NZ gives me a sense of pride. 🎉
My dream game is basically this game continuously expanding to the point you could get out of the boat and then into a car and drive wherever you want, whatever country or continent you want. Basically flight sim, boat sim, car sim all in one with the same world scale. additional textures get generated when you transition from one mode to another, accurately generated from real map image databases like google street view. Maybe one day.... maybe.
I live in Auckland and have been out on that harbor many times, it's very well modeled, very realistic. And yes the weathers been great this week, hope it's this nice for Christmas!
Suggestion: Using the tanker, go from Stornoway, Scotland, UK to Kirkwall, Scotland, UK with weather cranked up. I hear the North Sea is a bit interesting to navigate.
What would be cool is if Microsoft eventually makes a simulator that does it all. Trains, Planes, Automobiles & Boats and everything in between from construction projects, freight transportation, tourism, resource exploration.
Been waiting for a polished “transportation/Logistics” simulator with boats, planes, trucks and trains with players working together to complete tasks. This gives me hope!
The irony is that this actually looks better than dedicated ship simulators. Oddly, I would really love to have a ship sim to learn about operating boats and navigation. We have train sims, but even those need to kick it up a notch.
They're on the brink of creating a whole new genre: world simulator. If they got the roads clear (lots of trees in them rn) and the buildings a little more accurate, I'd love to go for a walk in Miami, or drive down Route 66, or take a cruise on Lake Michigan.
You should make a video of cold and dark startup tutorials for the default Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 Max Airliners in the sim. From startup, to flight planning, to taxi, to takeoff.
Thered fast ferries that operate in the Auckland harbor, would be cool if they made ferry simulator addons to include berthing at the different wharfs around Auckland etc
One of the best channels right here.👍 As a major float plane fan, this is yet another thing that has been a big win for me. I'm been trying to tell others how epic it is, not only the water physics but the sim itself. Far too many RUclipsrs sadly want to keep the msfs24 hate train going for views. Then their fans are closed minded and easily influenced, resulting in a negative community that i don't want no part in. For me, the sky is calling like never before and im answering it.
The water physics as far as how a float plane reacts on the water are pretty poor. Of course it is a step up, but nothing considered realistic right now.
This was pretty awesome enjoyed this alot and for it being a flight sim the boats handle pretty well on the water like it's a ship sim. Anyways keep up the great work much love to ya Jeff have a good one take care god bless and I iwll see ya on the next one
I tried the new yatch but I'm not new to Marine RM products. Overall I enjoyed the ability to drive the boat but had two issues, one was that the boat was not touching the water but instead floating visibly above it. Couldn't tell on the inside but very apparent in 3rd person view. Second problem was, I still wasn't able to go under bridges. The bridge I tried was Auckland Harbor Bridge. I'll keep testing different locations but was really hoping they would fix that from 2020.
This would be a good controller for having the ability to use side thrusters to push yourself out of docking areas with the paddles on the back. Also itd be cool to have missions in multiplayer to have people in helicopters to land on your ship you can get out walk up to the helicopter even if you can have multiple people in multiplayer on the ship you can create scenarios of your ship going down and you and your crew need to be rescued just wlak up to the helicopter and get in have a little heliport on the ship thatd be cool hopefully they allow that this would be an amazing feat for them
Amazing! Next integrate Euro Truck Simulator, Farming Simulator, Goat Simulator, Bus Simulator, you-name-it Simulator and make it a All-In-One game so this will be the only game we will ever need!! 🥳🥳
We need a good pack of landable ships with decent detail. I remember having a large millitary hovercraft in fsx multiplayer , about 5 of us I would transport others in planes accross the water 😂. So cringe worthy, but I don't care we had so much fun in those days
Looks like its more fun than the supposed aviation career mode, omg it sucks. Just did a sightseeing tour of paris, It was like mine craft that someone had taken a blow torch to. Disgusted by this game so glad you can get mileage out of it. Thanks for your positive vids Jeff, Glad i found your videos years ago on gtav etc. Cheers.
Boats are pretty underrated its crazy to think there are almost 0 Boat simulators. Except of games like Stormworks, You might enjoy that Also Hope you all are having a fantastic day!
I decided to log back into 2020 for a flight in the PMDG. Man, you realize just how MESSED up 2024 is when you experience a perfect BATC, with FSLTL CTD-less flight with way better looking photogramatry. I dont think we 're anywhere near that in 2024 yet! Obviously the only thing still bad about 2020 is the terrible single thread performance when at a high fidelity airport with lots of AI traffic.
I went from aging pc on 2020 to series X for 2024 with gamepass and it’s been really hard not having the payware and free ware scenery I had collected over the years. Still no Dallas in the base game still no KDAL and I’m not looking forward to paying for my southwest liveries.
Microsoft Flight Simulator, FSX at least had boats and ships, I even had BC Ferries, all with amazing models, it had cars too. FSX even had animals too and P3D toke FSX and made a walking mode, so that's not knew either. Career is new though.

Screw the planes, make it a ship sim now
I'll have some of that.😊
There already is one. ‘Ship simulator extremes’
It should be an everything sim
@@shane-71very very old game that
Microsoft Walk Simulator
For being a flight sim this boat is sure handling pretty well on the water like it was in a boat sim

@@maczetamaczeta189 they also wanted more ship traffic etc which should behave naturally. best way to do so was upgrading water physics and
buoyancy.
Simply because seaplane exists in the game.
Microsoft should just make a life simulator or something similar.
Plane, boats, waking. Virtuall tourist 😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
Microsoft will eventually pioneer the Matrix 1.0 just in time for AI to take over us 😁
Dont give them ideas
Yes
Gimme cars and all the roads, ships and all the seas….
Boats working better than the planes
Nice Meme, but not true xD
This has amazing potential. Currently there are no shipping transport games that are worth playing.
I can't wait for cruise ships, this sim has no idea what it's about to unleash! 🙂
If I was Microsoft I would have a Ship/Sail simulation crew and a rail simulation crew. Have them all play on the same servers so all three worlds will seem alive. I would have a full sim ecosystem.
It's a huge project, very expensive but I think they would return every dollar spent by sells.
imagine flying by the coast seeing boats on the water ran by real players and the trains ran by real players too
why not have a driving sim too?
@shlomojacobs-velde3838 and that means theoretically you could have vacations in game. Take a car to the airport to catch a flight to a port city then get a taxi to the port to get on a cruise
No thats stupid. They should just make a separate simulator
The buggy, if you drive it on the roads (and stay away from trees that spawn in the roads), they are much flatter than in 2020. There's a town about 30 minutes from me, i started driving there and could have gone the whole way if i wanted. it was amazing.

That would be so freaking cool.
This game is so much potential the developers need to fix the issues ASAP
I noticed that Atlanta, GA is still out of date. Just like in MSFS 2020, it still shows Georgia Dome & Turner Field.
Yeah it may be, but it’s not at all difficult to edit it, at least many hope so
Do the ai planes use correct runways now to land and takeoff because in 2020 they wrong runways
Love to see ships inside MSFS2024 and bringing your community to Aotearoa, New Zealand and in Tāmaki-Makaurau, Auckland. I love it when you visit NZ gives me a sense of pride. 🎉
Come visit me in Porirua next 😂 🇳🇿
Microsoft should make a maritime simulator, we really need it. 14:27 looks fantastic and very realistic !
Hey Jeff, thanks for the plug! ---Nick.
Would love to see you do Nautis, especially a cruise ship

Thanks man! Hope all is well with you
Suggestion: Using the tanker, go from Stornoway, Scotland, UK to Kirkwall, Scotland, UK with weather cranked up. I hear the North Sea is a bit interesting to navigate.
This is pretty cool. I would totally take a tug up the Mississippi River if we could.
What would be cool is if Microsoft eventually makes a simulator that does it all. Trains, Planes, Automobiles & Boats and everything in between from construction projects, freight transportation, tourism, resource exploration.
That looks soo good!
I can’t believe how far this sim has come. Unfortunately, you can’t go under the bridges so good!

Awesome to see you visit Auckland Jeff, would be cool to see you fly around bits of NZ too, we have heaps of views to offer!
Thanks for the suggestion, NZ is on the list!
The irony is that this actually looks better than dedicated ship simulators. Oddly, I would really love to have a ship sim to learn about operating boats and navigation. We have train sims, but even those need to kick it up a notch.
You have a plane icon on the boat and a dot on planes... LOL

Easily the new most realistic and best ship simulator now and it wasn't even meant to be one. Crazy
These simulator videos are really cool. Hope you’re doing well Jeff, keep up the great work and take care!
Between this and the helicopter winching features it's starting to look like Coastal Callouts needs to come to MSFS!
You're right-the potential is amazing. The sim will need watermasks, though-lots of watermasks.
Thered fast ferries that operate in the Auckland harbor, would be cool if they made ferry simulator addons to include berthing at the different wharfs around Auckland etc

Great video as always, love it!!
1. Walk from house to local Airport
2. Fly to local Dock
3. Sail to other country
all 2024 needs now is Ubers
Nice video. Looks cool. I didn't know GAIST was working. I'll check that out. I'm interested in that naval program you referred to, also.

The water textures and the physics look pretty good. Can't wait to see what fs24 will looks when everything is fixed
All hands on deck! Loading simulator has evolved into a new breed.
I feel like Microsoft could actually make a very good Ship Sim. Especially on a 1:1 scale like Flight Sim.
Emergent gameplay the way I love.
When I started the video I expected all kinds of funny looking jank. However this looks actually great how it moves through the water awesome
I thought this area looked familiar, grew up in Auckland and this is pretty accurate
Microsoft: gives us a new flight sim
Everyone: does everything BUT fly
@@AussieGuy-qb8mh the walking around is fun. I've mostly used the buggy to check out the new scenery up close (faster)

Brings back memories of Deadliest Catch sim days!
For a flight simulator game, that water looks pretty dang good.
If these ships had some good dynamic sounds i would be tempted to pick one of these up.
Love your Videos Jeff big fan mate.
That is nuts! I cant believe that you can do this in flight sim!

This is promising to see with the new boat/water dynamics, Jeff. Road trip test next? lol
Funny how a flight simulator does ship simulator gameplay better than actual ship simulators these days.
then maybe ship simulators can start doing flightsims that actually work
It’s. Hurts me that MSFS have more ship sims that ship sims themselves

We need a Microsoft Ship Simulator
The radars rotate the wrong way....
Yahoo! Auckland!
Having ships into MSFS isn't new I remembered FSX has freeware ship models
Finally got around to trying this, why doesn't mine actually sit in the water like yours?

This is so sick

You can fly under the Auckland bridge just can't boat or seaplane under it.

Yes!! Let's see Cruise Ship Sim lol
THIS IS SICK!
Is the marketplace opend now? or how did you get the ship?

sailboat would be cool
Let’s go Jeff
I can't even get the damn game to load without it constantly crashing. And that's after waiting 10-15 minutes for it to attempt to load.
Isn’t the water only about a meter deep though?
I mean, we can already do trips around the world in real time and life size in Uboat ...
But it certainly doesn´t look as good :)
this is great!
first it's a walking sim, now it's a shipping sim?
What's next, a driving sim?? xD
Already has that to 🤷🏻♂️😂
Payware for a boat in a flight sim. I'm in the wrong line of work.
Next Up: Space Sim
I havent seen a ship in this game yet... been surprised by that
Do you have any of your traffic settings off? Will real-time data they are everywhere.
@aavvv_ are you talking about career or multiplayer? Or is it in both? All my live data is active. My internet is pretty fast so that isnt it
Looks like Auckland, which is where I live 😊
