I guess you could just kill the enemies in The Heck Hole and then save and quit and just restart from there? As long as you don't kill the boss the quest wouldn't advance, so i'd imagine it would work. I've not tried it, but it works for most quests/challenges like that.
If you're on PS4, you can just use a second account instead of another player. PC, you'd need another player. And Xbox, I'm not sure, since I don't play Xbox that much.
