Touratech Aventuro Carbon Pro Helmet First Impressions + Forest Exploring on the 790 Adventure

- Touratech was kind enough to send me their new Aventuro Carbon Pro helmet to check out and what better way to do so than by exploring some local forest roads on my 2024 KTM 790 Adventure? This is just a chill laid back ride through Oregon's Coast Range as I test out the Touratech Aventuro Carbon Pro while looking for campsites at the end of logging roads. Exploring on the 2024 KTM 790 adventure is great because it's easy to ride, has a very manageable seat height, and I have no fear of dropping it because of how easy it is to pick up.

@DorkintheRoad I live in west Michigan, lots of dirt roads and trails nearby. I'd love to have something that I get out on more. Currently have a naked street bike....very limiting

Was looking for this. Bro just tried to save us money by showing us cheaper shades than flying eyes. Now showing us a rebranded helmet that’s exactly the same minutes the stamp. 699 with the addition of the tourotech stamp. He even said it’s not availible otherwise. Thats 🧢 499 on Revzilla right now.
Thanks Dork! I have always wondered about this helmet but never seen one in person or seen any reviews. This looks like a great spot to go explore around.
Putting the Molecule skid plate on my 500 was a huge PITA. Fortunately it got easier to remove and put back on over time.
Here in northern CA, Sierra Pacific owns a lot of land. It used to be open to the public and there was a lot of amazing riding. A few years ago they closed it all and we lost all those riding areas. They cited people dumping trash and fire danger as the main reasons.
Your on a bike, go till you get caught, Then pay the fine.. Cheap riding costs! Someone I know maybe had done things like this in other states.. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😂😂😂😂😂😂

They make amazing windshields, theirs was the only one that completely eliminated buffeting on my Africa Twin.

The madstad on my dr650 is awesome, works wonders with how adjustable it is however on my V85tt the screen doesn't reduce buffeting over stock at all no matter how I adjust it.
I'll never buy a Nexx helmet again after owning an XWed.2. They seem great looking at the feature list, but I've never owned a helmet so cheaply made. I had to Velcro in all of the cheek pads due to garbage lining clips, the visor/peak clips pop off on the road if you even brush them with your hand, I've almost lost my chin vent cover when opening it with gloves on due to it also popping off. It feels like they made a premium shell and then just kept glueing cheap plastic onto it.

I had the same experience with my molecule Motorsports skid plate for the Kove. Great product, bad directions.
When I installed and adjusted my tusk shift lever, I set it one notch too low. It looked like it had full range, but it it just enough that it was hit or miss going into first
My favorite camping spot used to be hard to get to and I only ever saw one person there. You either needed a bike or something with 4wd. They fixed the washout though and now its super popular, and always booked full... bummer

Nice helmet , I got mine the 2023 model 1/2 price you are right its very light but the plastic wing that hold the visor are a pc of s*** had to get extra hope they fixed that on your version Alain & Yellow ( Ryker is home , 2 ride in already ) muffler roar a bit much but that I was looking for now I sound like a Triump.
Audio is amazing in this helmet man! At least at the lower speeds, it was the first thing I noticed when watching.
Ok I didn't watch it all the way through when I commented, it sounds way better with the visor down, but also I do wish you hit some higher speed stuff
Id love to see a review of the Scorpion ADF 9000 which is supposed to be a super light (lighter than the Klim!) adventure helmet. They dont have them at my local shop so i can try it myself.
I tried to get one but they did not come through ;)
The scorpion adf 9000 is in fact heavier than the krios pro it's more than 1.5 kg

Was thinking of getting a ktm 790 but read they have been having issues with cam failure. In part due to oiling issues. Any thoughts on how big an issue it is and or if they fixed it ?
Can you indicate how that helmet fits compared to the Shoei Hornet X2 I have a long oval head shape and there is no place to try on the touratech here in AZ

Klim Krios Pro 1,3 - 1,5 kg, touratech aventuro carbon pro 1,5 - 1,7 kg. You claim that the touratech is lighter?
I claim that it feels light. I haven't used the Krio Pro.

well, the helmet is cheaper (a lot) than the new Arai. Nothing wrong with my XD-4 though, besides a little weight. I wonder if I have a Touratech shaped head? I lusted after the Krios Pro, when it was THE helmet to have, but it's just the wrong shape for my head, so it wasn't even an option.

Lighter than a Krios you say? That’s impressive. I’m reluctant to move away from my Krios because it’s so light. Build quality on the Klim has been crap.
I mean I didn't weigh it and I didn't have the Krios pro but it feels lighter to me.
