- Follow along as I describe the McCauley propeller system commonly found on a multi engine airplane. I discuss the operation of the entire system, to include how the blades change pitch, their "default" setting and duties of the governor.
I found the best way to explain this to a student who has complex knowledge, the multi engine design is simply the opposite of the single engine design. Same type of system, it just operates backwards essentially.
Nice explanation. Very helpful to visualize what’s going on. Thanks for the video.
You saved my life. I was obsessed with this the whole day after confusing myself with the explanation for the single engine constant speed propeller. Thank you very much sir.
Hellor sir, thank you for the explanation. I'm not really good at english and having difficulties in reading in MM. I'm working as technician with a pt6a engine. This is really big help for me
Thank you, you explained it all at an easy to understand level
Good video - thanks for posting. This helped with my multi engine prep.
Awesome video, I have been struggling with this for a while. You made my day!
Great video! thanks for taking the time and making it for us
Best explanation ever really helpful
Great video! Working on multi engine rating. Appreciate your drawings ( I was able to follow along and make my own) and the specific explanation of the difference between single engine CS props and multi engine CS props.
Great to hear!
So so helpful!
thank you. very useful
Awesome video. Very Helpful!
Hey Im just curious, how much more psi does that oil boost pump give the oil going into the governor?
nice sir
Working on my multi. Thank you.
so in the multi engine, underspeed fly weight open and will draw oil into the hub?
Does the prop system same for PA34 ?
i guess u wanted to say "flyweights going in as engine goes SLOWER" at 10:57
otherwise great video. thanks :)
What about the N2 ?
are you sure about that more oil pressure less pitch???
but my ground instructor told me the oil always wants to push the prop feather,so more oil pressure means pitch is bigger.
oil pressure increase , blade angle dreases
Your instructor might be referring to a single engine airplane. The constant speed propeller on a single is opposite of the multi engine airplane.
Increase oil pressure in pilot valve to high pitch and low rpm na hoga
Sir i need some fishing boat engine salouion
Hi there. Your explanation of the gear pump which you called the compressor is not exactly correct. You cannot compress a liquid so an attempt to pass the fluid through the meshing part of the gears will cause the gear to break. Rather the fluid passes the side of the walls
