  • We have a 2000 Sea-Doo challenger 1800 with a six cylinder mercury 240 EFI and the customer originally brought it in with trouble, it wouldn’t get on a plane or run up in RPM’s, you just give it gas and then it would die out, would cut back in power all at once, and there it is we keep doing that so we got that problem fixed but then another one is appeared which is even more confounding.

Mine was exact same thing.. was the line filter near the pump. Blew out all sorts of crap from it, was back to normal. Full rpm all day long. Sorry this is a year late lol

I have a similar boat in Dubai. And the engine looks exactly the same. The boat counselor said the exact words regarding the problems of this this boat. He told me not to Rev it High. He said engine power is too high so don't do any fast turns. He basically meant to save the passengers. Becoz this boat can twist and twirl .

Some replies suggest that the fuel lines were deteriorating and plugging on their boats, try replacing all fuel lines and let me know?

    I have the same boat.
When is the last time you changed your fuel filter?

Maybe limiting power to save fuel since it’s on empty?
