Alright this doesn't really have anything to do with the powerscaling of LOTM but I just finished LOTM recently and had to share how much I love the ending Having Klein's character feeling actually complete, truly become a powerful beyonder in secret, "Mr. Fool", I was a bit confused how there were still 15 chapters left. However, after I read further into the story, Klein starts wrapping things up. He went to the Theater with his family, helped the allies that assisted him along the way, and helped the people in the City of Silver. I thought this was sort of the Epilogue, and I was really happy with this, but Cuttlefish just took the extra mile. A few chapters later, after what I would have thought was the ending, the longest time skip of the series happened. Then we're given a massive reveal. We find out the Seer Pathway doesn't actually increase lifetime. Then we see Klein, who's now an old man. Having had a conclusion to his story, we're happy to see where how far he's come, yet sad to see his life coming to an end. Now, this would be the end of the story, but Cuttlefish once again goes the extra mile, giving us what I feel like is TRUE closure for this incredible story. We're given the perspective of Dunn, Klein's Captain throughout the story. Having saved Klein multiple times throughout the story, long with his allies. For example, saving Neil from losing control by helping him move on from his dead wife. Saving ALL of Tingen by courageously using the sealed artifact to defeat the evil god's spawn. The readers are then told that after becoming an Angel of the Evernight pathway, Dunn practically stopped aging. We're given that sweet moment of finding out that yeah, he and Daly finally got together(all thanks to Klein). When reading this I thought we'd be given the ending of every character of the series, but Cuttlefish surprises us once again. Dunn is brought above the gray fog, a complete surprise, but I was thinking that maybe Klein was saying goodbye. Instead the readers aren't told what happened during that conversation, but were described how a determined Dunn looked when he exited the gray fog. On the final chapter, we're told it's Monday. Dunn does his daily routine, he checks the clock continuously. This lead me to believe that something was going to happen, maybe a disaster? Foreshadowing for book 2? I never could have expected what happened next. Once it's 2:58, Dunn goes to his room, taking four steps counterclockwise he chants in his head "The Immortal Lord of Heaven and Earth for Blessings" "The Sky Lord of Heaven and Earth for Blessings." "The Exalted Thearch of Heaven and Earth for Blessings." "The Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth for Blessings." As Dunn rises through the gray fog, he remembers the first time he met Klein, how he invited him to the Nighthawks, Defeating the Spawn of the evil god, and saving Klein and himself from Ince Zangwill, when the nighthawks team worked together with the Church of the Storms, going onto the Seas, when He and Klein defeated Pirate King Nacht before advancing to Sequence 3, and finally, the last words he'll ever hear from Klein. "You asked me, what type of person do I think should rule over this mysterious world? Well... I think they should be Guardians, but also miserable wretches who are constantly fighting against threats and madness. Captain. I want you to rule over this mysterious world. Like a Lord of the Mysteries!" As Dunn finds his resolve, he sits upon the seat of The Fool as he sees the 22 seats glow with crimson light, as figures start to appear in them. At the seat closest to him to his left, he hears a voice say "Good Afternoon, Mr. Fool~"
If you didn't know, the story of lotm isn't over. Man did you accidentally read fanfic after reading the ending. Seer pathway does grant immortality. All true mythical creatures are immortal, Klein is above the sequences, even at angel level he's immortal. All the things you mentioned after that, never happened. LOTM is only book 1 of the trilogy. The second book is Circle of inevitability. There's a massive amount of story left and even more secrets and mysteries to uncover.
@@Jihun-hl3nh well its spoilers Klein and sharron decide not to help him but he hid his actual plan and He gets out of the ruins with that fallen aristocrat when archbishop anthony of evernight church destroys the ruin in vol3 (i won't spoil the evil spirit's identity for now)

I Don't think you've read lotm to say this, but since I watched index, I can clearly say that lotm is better than it in every way. The power system is just combination of science and magic which you can also find in mahoka. And the story is pretty much ass except for accelarator.
Lmao not even close,Index's magic system is based on real life occult magic, not just the thelemic one,the science side's angels are FAR more complex and reality grounded too,you only watched the anime and it's ass for sure,i've read both and Toaru's just far superior,it's not even that close,if you look hard enough for traditional western fantasy novels their magic systems are the same as lotm's in terms of complexity especially the nicher old ones, meanwhile toaru's is different and unique, index's LN is far superior and the anime is just shit
@@deezidibbs9796 lotm's power system is based on mysticism not magic, and it's also similar and based on real life occult magic with certain rituals. And most of the pathways sequences can't even use magic and only use hax like control probability without the concept itself. When klein was a clown, what magic abilities did he get? Paper blades? You call that magic similar to the ones from black clover and re zero? Are you sane? And they can get many such hax powers with sequence advancing. In toaru, they too use the same magic powers like in lotm. And some science based powers are pretty much ass too except accelarator's vector manipulation and touma's rejecting hand. Well, since you're saying the anime was badly adapted, i'll check out ln and see if it's any better than mahoka's similar power system. It still wouldn't make any difference since stands are the best power system in all anime. They too combine weird magic with quantum physics level science like using mobius strip and golden ratio to defeat enemies.
@@USOGUI_BAKU As if the other espers don't have any interesting scientific phenomena based abilities lol, teleporters, mental espers and such have pretty interesting abilities, not even stands in jojo did something interesting with personal/subjective reality bs,(maybe you can say that Date a live's ln does it well like index),just schrodinger's cat stuff with the usual "it's the manifestation of the soul" thing, lotm didn't do interesting with mysticism based power first, the masadaverse and nasuverse is way ahead with it anyway.
Why did you put ORV there anyway? What type of good Power system have something like "You lose to them once so you will need to be many time stronger than them just so you WON'T LOSE again, and don't even think about defeat them." ?
First of all. The criticism for the fiction system for orv is very much still applicable to lotm. Which is just a glorified copy of dnd classes.the potion system is also heavily dependent on plot bs. Plot armor for ingredient collection is sweeped under the rag by the law of aggregation. And any battle involving divinity is resolved like children battling with their ocs. "my oc use the power of time. No you didn't! Well you're ocs dumb now bcs i said so" etc. Everything is just too vague. Like cuttlefish can't decide if he wants the power system to be soft or hard. Sure it has many pathways due to it being heavily based on the dnd classes, but all of it are the mostly just generic ability holder bs. The only creatives are pathways like hanged man and chained which has restrictions While orv also has a plot armor problem. its within the system. In a world where a story has power and everyone is an author. It's unavoidable for something to come out of nowhere. It's a meta story with a meta system. It's not about the powers, orv delivers a more profound message than lotm in every way.
Idk man the law of aggregation is not all that powerful? Otherwise it wouldn't take him 70% of first novel just to become a demigod, and he used only 1 beyonder characteristic to make marionettist potion rest all was purely ingredients which he fairly exchanged for or hunted himself, and idk if you read lord of the mysteries or king of secrets💀 coz every beyonder has to fight against madness💀 and everypower has a price, heck you can d*e just by gaining certain knowledge💀 orv might be meta powersystem but lotm powersystem is a part of the world itself
@@friendlyneighborhoodshinigami "every power has a price" Dont get me wrong i love orv and lotm equally since its the first novels i read alternatively. But isn't the price you mentioned a standard trope in a certain genre?. It's just the cultivation and mana system wearing a funny (top) hat. Also most orv fights with op characters on the level of divinity have very deep subtext and prose with clear clashing goals and motivation . While also moving the plot. While from what i remember in lotm the only action sence with that depth are the lavenus, zangwill, groselle arc, noble Justice arc, sasir and amon. The rest are just to drag Klein across the world for worldbuilding, which i love, but you know. Having too much of something isn't good
@@friendlyneighborhoodshinigami law of aggregation says all charatherics are will always find a way to converge. Which means its helped by fate=plot armor. The pseudo dead original creator is omnipresent and present in all things that especially includes raw beyonder ingredients and creatures, those things are also affected by aggregation so all beyonders are being handed necessary things to ascend. The only choice they truely make is in the death battle when meeting the same sequcence. Tell me thats not plot bs

Having Klein's character feeling actually complete, truly become a powerful beyonder in secret, "Mr.
Once it's 2:58, Dunn goes to his room, taking four steps counterclockwise he chants in his head
"The Immortal Lord of Heaven and Earth for Blessings"
"The Sky Lord of Heaven and Earth for Blessings."
"The Exalted Thearch of Heaven and Earth for Blessings."
"The Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth for Blessings."
As Dunn rises through the gray fog, he remembers the first time he met Klein, how he invited him to the Nighthawks, Defeating the Spawn of the evil god, and saving Klein and himself from Ince Zangwill, when the nighthawks team worked together with the Church of the Storms, going onto the Seas, when He and Klein defeated Pirate King Nacht before advancing to Sequence 3, and finally, the last words he'll ever hear from Klein.
"You asked me, what type of person do I think should rule over this mysterious world? Well... I think they should be Guardians, but also miserable wretches who are constantly fighting against threats and madness. Captain. I want you to rule over this mysterious world. Like a Lord of the Mysteries!"
As Dunn finds his resolve, he sits upon the seat of The Fool as he sees the 22 seats glow with crimson light, as figures start to appear in them. At the seat closest to him to his left, he hears a voice say "Good Afternoon, Mr. Fool~"

the copium is strong in you
Ah yes, indeed a good ending.
Idk what kind of weed you had but I want it
If you didn't know, the story of lotm isn't over.
Guys just wondering what happens to the monster thing stuck in the building that used to belong I think was the pound family?
In lotm? The evil spirit in underground ruins that was introduced in volume2?
@@friendlyneighborhoodshinigami yeah
@@Jihun-hl3nh well its spoilers

2000 chapter in LOTM?
I see less then 1500... Or you adding the new series it sequel
Book 1 has 1432 chapters. Book 2 is still ongoing and has like 900+ chapters. So it makes it more than 2000 chapters. And there's gonna be a book 3 too.
The real question is: why is lotm here? It's obviously the winner, so why was it here?
Why am i hearing abot LOTM just now?!
Can I get the link to that power chart
you can find it on the wiki but it is not detailed the power system in itself is simple you have 22 paths to chose from each one start from seq9 to 0 and once you pick there is no going back
@@midoan2 this is false. you can use the something something cross to remove your beyonder characteristic, eventually becoming a normal human. and there are also interchangable pathways based outer gods

Lotm still got nothing on Toaru tho, even world building index outclasses
@@deezidibbs9796 Now I know how dumb you are 💀
Why did you put ORV there anyway?
The only creatives are pathways like hanged man and chained which has restrictions
While orv also has a plot armor problem. its within the system.
And by your logic every fight in orv can also be reduced to few simple sentences💀
@@friendlyneighborhoodshinigami "every power has a price"
Dont get me wrong i love orv and lotm equally since its the first novels i read alternatively.
@@lettuc3aPear again it doesn't mean that they don't gi through hell to advance and i legit haven't read a single novel or manwha with cultivation and mana where you become a mad monster closer you get to godhood, most of them make you more beautiful as you advance💀 and again no matter how "deep" anything can be reduced to simple sentences and i will apply your same logic and say the system of fables in orv is just an over-elaborated version of fear, faith and beliefs from touhou💀💀🙏
Im sorry but tensura, mushoku and tbate systems are all just typical fantasy rpg system bs..the only unique and good ones are orv and lotm
Why is black clover not here
Why should it be here 💀
